I've been to Presto twice. First time I went with a friend for a full set design with gel. The woman who quoted service first started it would be $55 dollars, after I asked three times, "Just like the picture, right?"showing a picture on my phone to reference back to, and she confirmed, "Yes, 55 dollars." I wanted to make sure, because the design was simple, but was on every nail. After the technician did my ring fingers with the design, she started putting the polishes away. I was confused by this so I referenced back to the picture, and said I wanted all the nails with the design (four dots to every nail), and she called her pricer over to tell me it would be five more dollars. I said okay, and the technician finished a little sloppy, with smaller/bigger dots. I paid and left, and gave a five dollar tip. I noticed the base of the nail was thick with acrylic, and not smoothly finished. I had to go back soon for a fill because the growth looked extremely unnatural. I went back tonight for a fill with gel polish and a design. I was sat with a new tech. He was very nice and detailed. He told me it was his third day. Gel well done, with a double coat and filed perfectly. I know these will last me awhile. After he finished I was moved to another area for the design, the lady (pricer) wasn't able to do a mustache tip, so she wiped it off and had me move again to another tech who was having a hard time. She got it done in an hour, and it looked nice, but she seemed a bit annoyed that I had them re-do a couple sloppy ones. I figured the place charges enough to get the job done right. I was extremely happy with the end result, but before paying, the pricer told me it would be 2 extra dollars because she didn't realize it was a mustache, and not a bow tie. I responded with, "Seriously?" and she said, "Okay, no worries. I'll charge you the first price." I thought that was a little tacky to add on two dollars. I gave a ten dollar tip, making the total 52 dollars. Gel well done. I will come back to see the new tech who did my fills and gel, but am not sure this is the place for a design, if you want it done right. read more

As I sit in their wonderful massage chairs at this very moment I'm thinking to myself "how could I not have found this place sooner?!?!" especially when I used to live right next door! Very clean establishment and all the people are very friendly. I got very lucky to have the same guy do both my full set and pedicure, also didn't hurt that he was cute, flirty and sang every song that came on the radio the entire time he worked on me... Andy, I believe is his name, at least that's the name on the station that I got my set done on. He was very attentive and very observant, I had originally asked for the coconut milk scrub and he persuaded me to go with the sugar scrub because it would hurt less because he noticed that I had shaved my legs recently. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure. I do not believe they follow CDC Covid guidelines. Chairs are not 6 feet apart and I saw that the machine they use to even your nails still had white from the previous use. The guy who did by nails did not wear gloves, his nails were unkept, and dirty. My manicure took a long time but did not come out great. I have gel sticking out of the sides and my nails are uneven. My pedicure was rushed. The lady who did it does not have patience and should not be in this industry. She rushed my pedicure and did not feel like a Spa pedicure at all. It could be so she can help a walk in and get more tips. I am very unsatisfied about paying $50+ for something I hated. read more

Have never been to a Nail Salon twice because I've yet to be impressed....however.....this place was impeccably clean and even though it was busy, my service was not cut short (like at Comely Nails next to Ulta). No appt just walked in and got my full set done by the manager Tom who was extremely attentive. As I type I'm still admiring them. Since I got there at 4 and they closed at 5 on Sundays I only got a color change on my toes. Will definitely be back for a full on pedicure. I did test drive their spa chairs and it felt like heaven. Full body massage no joke-glute to neck. Was not bothered at all when the workers were speaking Vietnamese but Tom was kind enough to explain they were talking about the work day. Been here about 8 times now, I like the way that they do nails most of the time, but the last 2 times the nail polish immediately chipped due to it not being smooth. I got - $31 pedicure Saturday evening that it already chipped because there was a bump of polish at the end of my toe. This is the 3rd time my pedicure has chipped within a few days of a pedicure by them, so time to try some place new. read more

After many horror salons that I've been too (e.g. dirty, lack of attention to detail, & just overall bad), I decided to go pay a visit to Presto Nails. Not only is this place clean, but they are one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Tom seems to know all of his customers on a first name basis. They give you what you want, and they are not pushy about additional services at all. Note: They always seem to have to remodel, adding new spa chairs, flooring, and tables. I have been going to Presto Nails for about 5 years now. I love this place! Tom (the owner) is a wonderful man with a great attitude. Andy does the best job on my nails and when I walk in they always greet me by name. This has to be one of the cleanest places in the Valley. I have "cheated" on my nail guy with other local places in the past but that is not a mistake that I will ever make again. I have also been waxed here (brazilian and brows) and they do a great job! I am visiting from San Francisco and my puppies needed a bit of pampering . I called at 530 pm on Saturday evening to see if they allowed walk ins and if they had time for a pedicure spa . A nice guy answered I'm assuming he's the owner and said if you can come here before 6 I can take you . I came in around 545 and they were ready for me right away . Everyone here is so nice . Great customer service and friendliness are first in my book. My little sausages are cuter now with this French tip . Got the sports spa for 31 dollars with the lemon scrub . Only thing I could say is I wish the massage was a little more in depth and rougher . She was so delicate . read more

I've been to this place back when the owner was very active in the shop. I recently went back and each time I've tried to convince myself that maybe I'm just over analyzing. However my last visit has officially sealed the deal. Not only is this place nasty but they don't know what their doing. They are not properly cleaning the pedicure bowls and their reusing the dirty tools without properly cleaning them. The women who did my gel nails, didn't know what she was doing. This caused the gel to melt onto my skin in the uv dryer. She then proceeded to dig her fingernail into the side of my skin until it was extremely tender. When I told the manager she just looked at me like I was crazy and still charged me over $60!!! Horrible, horrible place I would never recommend this place to ANYONE not even an enemy!! BEWARE of this place unless you want your feet scrubbed with someone else's dead skin remnants on it. read more

Great place! I don't live in this area but happened to be in Ahwatukee so I stopped in for a pedicure. They were super busy (which I see as a good sign) but I only waited about 5-10 minutes. A man, who I assume is the owner, was extremely polite and apologetic about the wait. The whole place was super clean, we'll organized and decorated nicely. I hate going to nail places that have takcy or overdone decor... it's not very relaxing. The girl who did my pedicure was polite and worked quickly and efficiently. She was also very gentle! I have had experiences at other places where they dig at my toes and then my feet hurt the next day. Luckily, I was totally comfortable the whole time. The massage chair was amazing! My toes look great, I feel relaxed and I didn't leave the place broke because the prices were great! I may make the only drive just to come back here. Unfortunately yelp failed this time. I went to this place based on the reviews but did not have a good experience! Gel nail came off the next day!!!! I went back and talk with the manger about it and asked to fix it since gel nail should not peel off the next day. He was very rude about it and told me I have to wait for 2 to 3 hours for someone to fix it!!!! Next thing I know, I look up and it's been two years. it's not perfect, they raised their prices a little bit, and they do have turn over. But-for the most part, their work is consistent and they are friendly. their English isn't the best but they get by and still manage to give you what you asked for. the owner, Debbie, is just a sweet as pie and always remembers you. she even greets you with a hug. they are very accommodating and the shop is always clean, airy, and bright. Over the holidays, I went to Presto Nails with my mother-in-law and her sister. They had a pedicure, and I had a mani/pedi. I have always had a good experience at Presto. However during this outing, I could have sworn that my nail tech just rinsed off the equipment that she used on me. When she returned to the station, she got what appeared to be one of those "sterile" packs and shoved the tools in and sealed it up! I was dumbfounded. I never had any question about the cleanliness of this place until then. When we left, my husband's aunt expressed her disgust of how her nail tech just rinsed the callus remover (grater) and put it back in the rotation. I hadn't even mentioned my experience. That is disgusting, and I will always dissuade people from going to this establishment if I can! read more

I went to this place after work yesterday around 4:30ish to get a simple pedi. Lady who helped me was nice enough, didn't bother to small talk which was fine with me. She was a little rough when messaging my legs. I got a classic pedi with callus removal, it was the most effective callus removal treatment I have ever had. I went to Presto Nails for the first time last week. It's the closest nail salon to my apartment, and my sis (who swears by weekly mani-pedis) took us both to get pampered. SO glad we did! The Yelp reviews were very helpful and spot on. They were busy there as it was a Saturday afternoon; however, our technicians were friendly, fast and very accommodating overall. The last manicure I had (NOT from Presto!) was a joke. Luckily, Presto's mani is top-notch. Excellent attention to detail, glorious hand/arm massage with lotion that smells delightful. I don't know what kind of top coat they use but it is magical. Dried super-fast, and though I have had my mani over a week, it's still glossy! The pedicure was also professionally executed. I will definitely be back to Presto Nails again soon. It seems they run solid business with experienced and (most importantly) friendly staff. Thanks! read more

How weird - yelp seems to have deleted my last review! Well here it is again with some more info. This is the best nail salon I've been to - clean, affordable, and my manicure lasts 3-4 weeks! Make sure to ask them to use the gel so your mani/pedi last a long time. Diane and Ann do the best flowers and they can do the flower on your pedicure even if someone else is doing your pedicure. They do a great job of remembering what my preferences are and it's pretty much perfect every time. They can get really busy on weekend afternoons so it's better to go a little earlier or to call for an appointment. See you there! :) read more

Sooooooo much nicer than Comely Nails!!! The ambience at Presto Nails was peaceful and relaxing. I really enjoyed the instrumental/symphony music that was playing. To be honest, I forgot that I was even in a strip mall...two doors down from Chuck E Cheese, no less! What I especially loved was the fact that while preparing for my pedicure, the nail tech presented me a list of pedicure options, each with their own description and price point. One included extra massage time, another, additional callous removal, salt scrub, etc. I really appreciated this, because I like knowing what I am paying for (and how much I am paying) up front. The shop was busy but not loud, and the employees were very efficient, professional and respectful, which is often lacking at Comely Nails. And the shop was extremely clean and organized! The foot massage could have been more vigorous, but all in all I can't complain. For a pedicure with a few extras and a gel manicure, I spent $60 and two hours but it was worth it! I went in wanting a full set but was told that the SNS was better. My nail tech didn't listen to anything that a wanted and continuously messed up my nails. In the end it was a horrible job. My nails were uneven and looked like they stuck straight up out of the nail bed. This was the worst experience I've had from a nail salon. I will never come back or refer anyone. read more

I honestly don't know why this place has four stars. It's not the worst, but it's far from the best. My friend got a "gel" pedicure that never got under the light and ended up getting messed up an hour later. Plus, our pedis were super fast. Now, it's not my first rodeo, so I don't expect to have some long, luxurious pedicure unless I'm paying for it, but we were herded in and out so quickly, it was a little ridiculous. read more
