Owner Lily called back and gave me an open spot at the same day. Their place was cozy and offering free refreshments, it's a plus for a nail salon. They were pretty busy and I waited for a while. A girl named Laura at last did my pedicure, I just picked a regular, never like gel. She's a quiet girl but very gentle and articulated. Did everything that I asked for. Glad Polished Spa hires this sweet girl. Laura definitely adds a lot of value to this place. Will come back for sure!

This was my first-ever experience with sugaring. I had my lower legs (including knees; front and…read moreback of legs) done this morning 1/27/2025, having made my appointment online last night. Easy to book appointments online, with plenty of options for availability. For reference, I've only had waxing (eyebrows and upper lip) and threading (brows) done before, never sugaring and never anything on my legs. The studio is located in a little converted house in Clermont, directly across Grand Highway from the AtHome store. Plenty of parking spaces are available in the back. Khlaryssa was ready when I arrived, on time for my 9:30am appt. The studio was clean and comfortable. After I removed pants (and covered myself with a small towel), she dusted my legs with an organic powder and explained the process. The (also organic) sugar mixture looks almost like honey, but is less liquidy and more of a squishy spreadable solid (kind of like...silly putty?) which feels room temperature. It's NOT like waxing, which in constrast is hot and they put a clothlike strip over the wax to later pull the hair off. This sugar stuff is squished against your skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth, and then the sugar itself (no cloth) is yanked off in the same direction as the hair growth. The sugar doesn't stick to your skin as much as wax does. Individual hairs were tweezed afterward. My entire appointment lasted one hour. Was it painless? No, it hurt - they're pulling hair out of your body! And my leg hair was super long after being in pants throughout this colder Florida winter lol. BUT I would go back. I feel like it got easier to tolerate over the course of the session, and would likely get progressively easier over multiple sessions. I also can't compare how waxing would feel on my legs because I've only had it done on my face. I will say that, as a person with VERY sensitive skin, my legs weren't all red like my face is after waxing. Allegedly this is effective for a longer time, so I'll see how it goes and will likely return to this studio.

I recently visited Clermont Herb Shop and Spa for a one-hour massage with my partner. The check-in…read moreprocess was quick and easy, but upon entering, the establishment's setting raised concerns. Housed in a converted home, the massage room had a mildew smell, and the equipment was subpar, with a broken table and an improvised head frame causing discomfort. The awkward intake involved the therapist asking about what my body was telling me, without clear focus on pressure preferences. The massage itself was disappointingly more of a light rubdown than a proper massage, with minimal pressure, resembling a family member's attempt at a neck massage. The therapist incorporated sound bowls, though lacking the proper equipment for an effective sound bath. The session abruptly concluded with a discussion about my body's rotation, leaving me to change on my own. The positive note was the reasonable price, although still overpriced for the service. Overall, the experience fell short, highlighting the need for better therapist vetting, standardized procedures, and more comprehensive training to align with advertised services. The visit felt more like a meditation stretch than a massage, leading to a regrettable and misleading experience. Best of luck to this business, hope things can get better!

This one is a nice open space, but yet still pretty intimate, and it's super convenient right off of state road 50 in Clermont. Just look for the bowling alley. They recently moved locations, but don't worry, they're still right nearby the downtown Clermont area! So far I've seen two different stylists for my bangs, and they've both done a -- forgive my pun -- bang up job! Really though, I know it's just bangs, but I'm very particular about what I want, and the stylists are great about listening to what you want and ensuring you're happy with the final cut. I cannot wait to return to get my layers trimmed soon. If you're looking for a new place to get your cut or color, I'd recommend this place! Oh, and one more thing I thought was pretty great: they charge a green fee which is a couple bucks more but it goes toward the responsible waste and recycling program of all the discarded hair and products used. Pretty neat, right? So you get a fresh hair cut and/or color AND do your part to help protect the environment. Very cool.

The massage itself was excellent,…read moremy therapist did a great job and I left feeling relaxed and physically much better, which is ultimately the most important part of the visit. Hence the four stars. However, the front office and overall check-in/check-out process felt rushed and somewhat unorganized. I was asked to arrive early, but when I got there there were no intake forms to complete. There was a tablet displayed for sign-in, but instead of using it I was asked for my name and then told to manually sign in on a clipboard. The process just felt a bit inconsistent. I may be mentally comparing it to other wellness spas I've visited, but the communication around the membership also wasn't very proactive. When I initially called to start the membership, not much information was shared about pricing or the process. After my appointment, I noticed another tablet displaying total charges that were much higher than what I expected. I was told to disregard those numbers with no explanation of the additional cost verbally requested until I asked. I mentioned that I had a membership, but I was still initially charged the higher rate. Additionally, there wasn't an offer to help schedule my next appointment, which I've typically experienced at other similar businesses. That said, the quality of the massage was great, so I'm willing to give this location another try. It was also a Saturday, so perhaps they were busier than usual. I'm hopeful the front desk experience will feel a bit smoother next time before I decide whether to switch locations.
