I recently visited Clermont Herb Shop and Spa for a one-hour massage with my partner. The check-in process was quick and easy, but upon entering, the establishment's setting raised concerns. Housed in a converted home, the massage room had a mildew smell, and the equipment was subpar, with a broken table and an improvised head frame causing discomfort. The awkward intake involved the therapist asking about what my body was telling me, without clear focus on pressure preferences. The massage itself was disappointingly more of a light rubdown than a proper massage, with minimal pressure, resembling a family member's attempt at a neck massage. The therapist incorporated sound bowls, though lacking the proper equipment for an effective sound bath. The session abruptly concluded with a discussion about my body's rotation, leaving me to change on my own. The positive note was the reasonable price, although still overpriced for the service. Overall, the experience fell short, highlighting the need for better therapist vetting, standardized procedures, and more comprehensive training to align with advertised services. The visit felt more like a meditation stretch than a massage, leading to a regrettable and misleading experience. Best of luck to this business, hope things can get better! read more

Exceptional care and customer service. I drove for over an hour to this shop because they had the only bottle of a supplement I needed. The level of attention and care and help I received from Erin (while I coordinated by phone to drive up, and while I completed my purchase) was above and beyond what I could have asked for. Extremely thoughtful. I appreciated it so much - thank you Erin. Highly recommend this business. read more

Fantastic experience! The environment is warm and inviting and the staff are very kind. Will be back.

This place is a must for waxing! I get waxed regularly but this was the first time my experience was completely pain free! Make sure you see Megan for all your waxing needs. She is AMAZING!! read more

My boyfriend tried to surprise me and book a last min massage. No availability but they'd call him if someone cancelled. Thankfully, there was a cancellation with Morgan. It was an amazing experience. I was open to the experience. She used hot stones, sound bowls and a kneading machine. I was very relaxed. read more

If you need a relaxing massage here is the place. There are several private rooms in the building and itis decorated appropriately to help you begin to relax. I cant recall the massage therapist's name, but for the most part, she did a good job. The only critique i have is that she made alot of noise fumbling about in a cabinet a couple of times which broke the peacefulness. Hr technique was different using extremely slow movements with very light pressure. If you a expecting a deep tissue massage it is not happening. The table was very hot when i first layed down so i asked to turn it off as it was almost uncomfortably warm in the room. I am used to a room that is much cooler. At the end of 85 min the table was still warm. I am unsure if it had been turned off. All in all a relaxing experience and i would recommend this establishment. read more

For the last several years I have gotten massages here. Last year I had Charleene and was unimpressed. It felt like someone was just rubbing their hands on my skin. I had totally forgotten about how I hated that experience and I have paired with her again yesterday. I was looking forward to my couples massage with my boyfriend as we had been stressed recently like everyone else. Well, same experience as last time. Just hands rubbing on my skin. I gave her some time thinking since it was 80 minutes maybe she was warming up or something. But honestly, my boyfriend and I were disappointed. He had to massage my back out last night for me as I still was experiencing tightness and cramps from the stress. I used to LOVE coming here when Lori was there. Charleene is a sweet lady, but I cannot believe I paid $150 for two people to rub their hands on our bodies. Highly disappointed. read more

This is a great venue to get a massage. As far as rates go - they are certainly higher than if you'd go to Hand & Stone or Massage Envy - but the atmosphere is very comfortable and feels more like you're getting a massage in your own home. read more

Gina is amazzzzing! After my facial, my skin felt so fresh and clean. The massage was super relaxing too!

Very happy with my massage experience today. Charlene was helpful and knowledgeable about my pain.

Charlene is amazing with her hands. She's been doing my lymphatic massages for the last month. I definitely recommend her with five stars. The atmosphere is clean and nice and the staff is friendly. read more

I've been going to see Shelby for the past year or so for massages. She does such an amazing job. I often have knots in my muscles from work and Shelby works her magic to loosen those muscles and get me back to the point that it no longer hurts to move. I also appreciate that the employees are helpful but don't push products like so many spas do. As long as I live in the area, I'll visit and recommend this treasure. read more

I came here to find an obscure health food, which I found for what I thought was a very reasonable amount. Upon check out I was told that the item was mistakenly priced $10 lower than it should have been marked. I was then expected to pay full price for the item in question. Deciding that it would be cheaper to buy online I canceled the transaction and left the store. read more

This probably won't make it on the post, here it goes. I went here for the first time and got the ultimate relaxation massage with Shelbie. It was amazing! She took the time to work the knots out from under my shoulder blades and maintain the perfect amount of pressure. It's hard to find that good of a massage therapist. I booked my next appointment before leaving. read more

I would never recommend anyone to this business nor spend my money there. The aesthetician Stephanie was extremely rude and appeared extremely annoyed at the fact that I was inquiring about facial products. Not only did she you walk away from me as I was asking her a question but she had the nerve to answer "uh huh" when I said thank you as I was leaving the store. There is no sense in spending my money in a place that hires a person with such bad energy. It is hard to believe she touches people with that bad energy. read more

Had an amazing spa experience. Linda was amazing. I booked the solely splendid foot treatment. Tell she is passionate and experienced in what she does. Having issues with plantar fasciitis she explained the treatment and how it can help. I feel great and rebooked to try other treatments! Looking forward to coming here on a regular basis. The waiting area and treatment rooms are relaxing. Prices are excellent for what you book. Highly recommend! read more

I have been going to Amanda for my facials for several years now and would not give it a second thought to go anywhere else. She is very professional and your skin feels like your ten years younger. I give her five stars! I give the Herb Shoppe 3 because they need to understand how important it is to have the client feel good about the whole experience. The last time I went for some reason I didn't see Amanda after my facial and she always walks down with me when we are finished and I pay the bill and we chat and it is just a nice closure to the appointment. So my advise is to let your employees be who they are and the clients will feel more comfortable going to the Herb Shoppe to get there facials. read more

Very happy with the selection of herbs and with the friendliness of the staff. Will definitely be back on a regular basis!

I was visiting the area over the holidays and took a chance on an unknown (by me ) place. I had one of the best massages of my life with Shelby; so much that I went back later in the week so she could work on some trouble spots. Can't wait til my next visit to Clermont! read more
