I have done traditional hard waxing and after getting sugared I won't go back. They have a great online portal for booking appointments and they do accept walk-ins. They offer a variety of monthly deals and memberships to let you try out new services and keep up with regular maintenance. Amanda and Angie have done an amazing job on my services and are always very friendly and great at explaining the products they use. They offer a variety of products to purchase and I found my new go-to exfoliator.

I ended choosing to go with Geni. I requested an appointment and she quickly followed up via text. We arranged a day/time that worked for our schedules and she later followed up with a text reminder the day before my appointment. When I arrived, the place was dimly lit, which I kinda appreciated. She was already in with a client, so I slid the card hanging on the service room door under the door as advised and sat down. My appointment was at 12:30pm and she was a little late getting to me, but the person before me hadn't been in 6 months so my impatience quickly turned to compassion because GOOD LORD. 6 months?!! Anyway, Geni was fast, friendly, warm and very inviting. She got through my wax in less than 30 minutes and I was a little past overdue. Don't be fooled by the exterior building: Brown Sugar Wax is found inside a building, so you may not see the name of the store while driving past it. I was greeted immediately by the esthetician Sheynell and we hit it off pretty well. We made great conversation as she comforted me during my long-awaited wax. The session was longer than expected, but she was so detailed in the wax as well as knowledgeable of sugaring but also the business of Brown Sugar Wax Studio. She even gave me some references in where to buy certain products such as cream to make any bumps to disappear as well as some free samples that I may enjoy. Then turned away 10m late with fingers waving and phone literally SHOVED IN MY FACE so that I had to physically lean back, to apparently show me my appt time. Unkempt, large, nasty woman refused to give name, just said talk to Angela. Aggressive, rude human. Glad she didn't touch me after all. Don't waste your time. And I read now that many have the exact same experience and they're dirty and unsanitary.
