Switched to rand handy about 10 months ago and really liked their service and the company staff…read moreseemed great to deal with. However, we have 4 small children under 7 and a 1 year old born premature. for three months we dealt with one emergency after another from covid 19 having to shelter in place, going to take covid tests, it seemed each one of our kids was sick after the other and then finding out I was stuck in Maine for 15 days when going for work before I could return to Massachusetts and again stuck at a hotel before being able to go home or risk everyone having to quarantine In the midst of it we paid the oil bill late after always paying complete oversight. Rand handy called a few weeks later and said I didnt pay it and being at work unable to look it up that moment and send the information I simply paid again assuming I would get a credit toward the next delivery once straightened out. Rand handy said nothing to me that there was an issue and I said I would follow up with the receipt from the previous payment when I had a spare moment to have the account credited or learn what happened. Without a single warning or word they just didnt deliver oil again. Caught by surprised when I got a call we ran out and the house was cold I called rand handy to let them know we ran out and they had not delivered. Of course it happens when its 17 degrees out. For multiple days they claimed they were coming until I called again looking for what was going on and the secretary told me she was instructed not to deliver because we had paid the last payment late. no warning, no notice, they just let us run out and refused to deliver when it was 17 degrees and I was out of state again. We had no balance and one 280 payment late as a result of this mess with the pandemic. I requested they charge my card and fill the tank so we could have sometime to find a new company and they refused leaving us with no oil over a single late payment. Once I return in a few days I will have to look to get credited back for the double payment I have never written a review in my life but this was so egregious to do to people I had to especially with 4 small children and especially offering to pay right then and there. Totally uncalled for, I take responsibility for the single late payment but I got it done and apologized but to just fail to deliver with no warning even when offering to pay right there was just wrong. The pendemic has caused a mess for people and a reminder call may have been nice than just a no show and cut off in the freezing weather.

We had a big snow storm over night/today and I noticed the upstairs zone wasn't heating past 66 degrees no matter how high I turned up the heat. On a whim, I called Zopatti Heating not expecting a response today if at all. After leaving a voicemail, I got a call back from Mark in 15 minutes and he came over 10 minutes later (mind you in the middle of a 14" snow storm). Turns out the problem may just be a minor one but Mark assured me that if the heat didn't start working correctly tonight that I could call him and he'd come right back. Amazing service!

He refused to come out and look into it and told me it was normal for my house to not heat or cool to the desired temperature. A different company came out to look into it and immediately found that a valve on the unit was leaking and had also been glued on rather than properly brazed. This cost me thousands of dollars to repair. I also lost the warranty on the unit because of the improper installation of the valve. I reported this to the BBB in an effort to resolve it and get my money back for something that Ryan was responsible for... he denied everything. I then filed a small claim in court and he did not show up to any of the hearings. Do not use this company, Ryan has no integrity and is very hard to track down if necessary. The sheriff had a very hard time serving him for court as he had no real address or business address

This place had three of my items for over six weeks and still fully charge me for stuff they couldn't even fix. To add insult to injury they tried to give me three phones that weren't mine. Let's not mention the wrong and missing phone case to go with it. The inside of that office is a joke and nobody should ever bring anything to this place at all whatsoever. Let's not even begin to start on the empathy and the professionalism because that was nonexistent. This is what happens when you try to keep local and give to small businesses.
