Native Tucsonan and coffee-obsessed here. This is my favorite coffee place in town and recommend it to anyone inquiring. Standard coffee offerings alongside hot and iced teas. They also have oat-milk! I've bought their beans (roasted locally at their other location) to grind at home many times. It's my favorite spot in town to get a coffee and catch up with friends, people watch, or kill some time reading a book. Wonderful, open ambiance. The location is great, too. Just off the freeway a smidge west of downtown. read more

I give it 4 stars, because as far as coffee in Tucson goes, it's the best coffee shop in town. Yet, their coffee is, sadly, pretty mediocre (to say the least), but still better than in most places around Tucson. I understand that my taste preferences that were formed and solidified in Europe are not the same than of most people here who usually like their coffee white and sweet, so I guess Presta deserves a decent 4 nevertheless. The thing that I like the most about this place is its location. It's perfect. Lively, nice people, beautiful surroundings. There's a Mexican bakery next door and you can treat yourself to one of the best donuts in town. Especially, if you ordered your coffee black and it's bitter. Yeah, that's the thing that I really don't like about Presta. If you order a macchiato -- and, gosh, I used to love macchiato! -- it's awfully bitter and you can taste how overly roasted the beans are. And they don't offer you a glass of hot water, which is a shame, so you're basically left with a milk-stained drink that feels more like ristretto rather than espresso. Their cortado is better but you can still taste the bitterness in it. It shouldn't be like that. The safest choice would be americano, but I really don't see the point in ordering one myself, as I'm making it better at home with a cheap-ass Lavazza and old mocha. I'm leaving Tucson soon for good and I'm going to miss hours I've spent at the Mercado and this Presta in particular, but I sure won't miss their coffee. However, again, it's not that bad if you compare it to other coffee places in this town. Plus, my wife loves their oatmilk latte :) read more

Cute decor and friendly staff, but the coffee was lack luster. I got an iced honey lavender latte and wasn't offered a size option or any milk alternative. I was surprised to see it came out in a 12oz cup and barely had any flavor from the lavender or even the espresso, I mostly tasted the milk. Wasn't worth the $5.25 to come back. read more

One of my favorite coffee spots in town. The Mercado location has such a nice ambiance and a great place to sit and study or work.

Beautiful coat yard in side where they have tables and chairs located. For Coffee stop on road trip, we choose not to go Starbucks. Local little coffee shop is our choice and it didn't disappoint us at all. Coffee is good, service is nice. read more

Currently my favorite roast in Tucson -smooth and bold. I love the patio setting at the Mercado location but also the modern bike friendly vibe at the 1st Ave spot. It's a nice bonus to get a complimentary cup o joe when you buy a bag of beans too! read more

By far my favorite coffee roaster in Tucson! I really like the atmosphere and the service! The barista had competed in a local competition and was telling me about it. They have more than one location, but this is where I went. The instant was not but but not great. read more

Best coffee in Tuscon! I'm a Washington state resident and now order Presta online. So good

Tried to get a latte with one shot of espresso instead of two and the barista refused to make it. Said it affected the quality of the drink or some pretentious nonsense. Absurd. read more

Coffee is ok, very fruity so that's not my cup of tea but I get that some people prefer that flavor of bean. My biggest issue with this place is the service. I have yet to meet a kind employee. I live near by and love the MSA so keep giving them another chance but dang, idk if everyone there just thinks they're the coolest kid on the block but everyone I've encountered couldn't be bothered to even smile or seem like they give a single care about spreading a little joy. It can get loud in there and so when they call out the drinks they should really make sure they give it a little conviction but more than once, my coffee has been sitting there waiting to be picked up because I couldn't hear a call out. Like, if you're making a coffee and call it out and see that it's still sitting there a few minutes later, maybe call it again? Idk, again just comes down to kindness and respect read more

Dude! I also love this place to hang out and drink coffee. Janna is dope. So are all the other baristas. Presta only hires the nicest people. The coffee is amazing. All kinds of single origin coffees available and the espresso blend makes for an awesome latte. Ask for an iced basic (vanilla latte), its phenomenal, I have at least 4 a day. The milk is organic! Also, their decaf is incredible, for when you don't need that extra kick. Mercado is awesome if you want to enjoy some crispy avocado tacos from Seis or a nice donut from Estrella with your coffee. You can hang out there and see cute dogs and drink coffee all day. Order the Peachy Boi while it lasts! Best non-coffee drink in America, and it'll keep you cool in the hot Tucson summer. Pastries from Prep and Pastry are bomb and delicious. They also serve the best cereal. Cool vibe, awesome baristas, delicious coffee. Presta. read more

This is my go to coffee shop (and it's not just because I live around the corner). The baristas do a fabulous job and are all well trained. I love it so much I sometimes go multiple times per day! I can be a bit busy on weekends, but weekdays I can sit down and get some work done. Love the cappuccino or cortado. read more

OMG!!!!! I am an espresso drinker from way back so when I ran outta espresso beanz I decided to buy a bag of fresh roasted beanz. When I opened the bag there was absolutely NO AROMA which I thought strange. When I looked at the beanz they were an ugly pale brown almost greyish color...again I thought that strange. After grinding the beanz the color was light very pale brown/tan...my espresso was a tan color and the flavor was very metalic. Absolutely the very worst espresso beanz I have purchased in my 50 years of buying and drinking espresso from all around the world. So very extremely disappointed with this product am literally throwing it away. read more

I have always been a loyalist to one coffee shop in Tucson and I'm so happy I ventured out to try Presta. Not only is this location super adorable with all the plants but it is located in the Marcado and is a great place to spend a weekend morning getting coffee and pastries. I got their seasonal latte, which was a coconut latte and it was sooooo good! I did get it iced which was perfect for a hot day and it pair deliciously with a pineapple turnover from Estrella right next door. read more

I LOVE this place! I'm fairly easy to impress coffee wise as I'm just not that experienced with the whole java movement, but I do know enough that this place is awesome. Local roaster does their beans and you can taste the freshness. You know your vanilla latte is perfect when there are actual vanilla beans floating around in your cup and you have to force yourself to drink it slowly so that it lasts longer. Yes, that good. Freshly made bagels that you can toast yourself if you like. Or grab a burrito from the taqueria and/or pan dulce from the bakery (both just steps away) and enjoy with your java. Makes for a perfect experience! read more

Good coffee at a cool location, nice indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating very limited but great if you can get it.

I will eventually give them 5 stars, but the day I went he didn't have any decaf, But Beau I think that's how you spell his name, convinced me that he could make me the next best thing to decaf was a chai latte. It actually tasted really good to the last drop of foam! Each sip had a kick to it and plus someone like me who enjoys anything with cinnamon had to try it! The location is small, but it was nice that it wasn't crowded that day! Can't wait to go back! read more

I came here with a friend after a hike up the nearby Tumamoc hill, and it was quite busy. I tried the espresso and tonic for the first time, which was surprisingly good! It was refreshing and almost fruity, and was definitely a game changer - I may have to start drinking all my espresso this way. It was a beautiful day, so we sat in the sunshine in the courtyard, which was lovely. My friend had an americano, which she was enjoyed. The inside has a few small tables with looks It looks like an ok place to do work, but there aren't many outlets. Given how busy it is, I probably wouldn't choose it if wanted to do serious work, but it's a great place to have coffee with a friend. read more

The Mercado is gaining popularity in no small part due to Stella Java. It sits at the end of the tracks on the west side of town and this coffee shop has created a reason to stay on the streetcar till the Convento stop. We go to this coffee shop about twice a week to order coffee from the friendly wait staff and then sip our beverages in the tranquil courtyard. They're rarely busy, except when a mass of bicyclers come drafting in from the Santa Cruz River path. Free parking is abundant either on the street or in the large dirt parking lot next to the Mercado building. read more

Ordered an iced mocha, only non dairy milk they have is oat milk. Maybe I'm just not hipster enough but umm there's coconut, almond, soy, so many non dairy milk options to only offer one and it be oat. I tried it anyway, and was disappointed in the entire drink , though the coffee tastes better than the other coffee shop right up the road in the container park. The straws are tiny like stirrers and splinter and break when they go in your cup. I'm not super picky with coffee, but this place misses the mark. Oh, and they don't have caramel... At all. read more

When I was visiting Tucson I was really hankering for some quality 'spro and came across Presta. Boy, was I impressed! I always judge a coffee spot based on if the baristas are weighing in/out their shots and that's exactly what they did! I love consistency and a coffee shop that's passionate about what they do. Needless to say, my cortado + oat milk was smooth, well-rounded and balanced. I tried other well known coffee shops in Tucson but I believe Presta is top notch. read more

When I ordered I asked if they could make flat whites. They said yes so I ordered an 8oz and a 12oz. The barista called out 2 lattes ready. This clearly wasn't mine as there were two 12oz drinks on the counter and I didn't order lattes. Well, I was informed they were mine. When I told the barista I ordered 8oz and 12oz flat whites he shrugged and went back to the espresso machine. Drink was super milky and I could hardly taste the coffee. Super disappointing coffee experience. I would recommend Ombre as an alternative; which is where I went after dumping these. To the owner: Please train competent baristas. read more

Great coffee, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable atmosphere-- Stella is a gem. Can be a nice place for quiet study or catching up with a friend, or for a post-Tanias 33 burrito melting espresso (fighting burrito coma tends to be what brings me here). Great outdoor seating in the Mercado too, and I love that the patio becomes overrun with cyclists a few times a week-- it's the perfect stop off or end point for the Loop. read more

So far this is my favorite coffee shop in Tucson. It's hard finding coffee shops that carry oat milk from Oatly. I recently had their fig latte and it was delicious. Quality coffee shop nestled inside the adorable Mercado San Augustin? Say no more! Presta coffee is absolutely wonderful. This was definitely one of my favorite places to go in Tucson! Located at Mercado San Agustin, I would often go here to study, work on projects and enjoy a Chai Latte! There are quite a few tables to sit and socialize or to get some work done. Service was always quick and wonderful. It's also right next to my favorite bakery, La Estrella, so you can easily pick up a pastry to enjoy with your coffee/tea. Honestly, their chai lattes is one of the best that I've had, and I LOVE chai lattes. My only quip is that during busy days (weekends, holidays, peak hours), seating CAN be limited inside. However, there is plenty of seating out in the courtyard which can be delightful on a nice day. I miss you Presta! If I'm ever back in Tucson, I'll have to stop by and get another chai! read more

Never again. Service was slow and rude. First, I asked for an extra shot in my latte, and the barista said no, that the shots are made in twos. So I asked if I could pay for two extra shots but have only one go into the latte. No, that's wasteful. 2% milk? No, whole milk and skim. Can you mix them to make 2%? No. After all this, the latte was terrible. Tbf, my friend had a cup of coffee and said it was great. The experience was so bad for me, I won't be back. read more
