Yesterday we picked up some things and did not have the experience we usually do. Rather than outline it on yelp, I chose to send an email to the restaurant. They responded within hours, apologized, explained, offered some upgrades and solutions. They heard what I said, and are actually replying again with more info., An off day happens anywhere. I'll continue my trips to grassy roots, knowing that their high level of quality and Product is worth the price. Meals are yummy and if you pay attention to how you reheat (put things like chicken nuggets in air fryer, not microwave) and what you freeze (don't freeze meals that include items that don't freeze well (duh!)), you'll be very happy! I drove by one of the office buildings, 100 Cummings, and noticed a sign in the window that said Grass, Market sandwiches, salads, etc. I was like OK sure, I'll grab a sandwich. I walked in and then saw that they had a lot of ready, made sandwiches and soups, and salads, and I was ready to walk out because I needed to have some thing made fresh for me as I'm a pain in the neck and don't eat a lot of the garnishes that are put on sandwiches. The woman behind the register asked if she could help me. I told her it was my first time stopping in and that I was curious if I could get one of their sandwiches made my way. She indicated that the one that I referenced was premade this morning, however, she offered me two other options. The one option that she offered me was the Caprese Panini, which I added chicken. This was the most delicious sandwich I have had in a very long time. The Panini itself was amazing, the chicken was so so tasty, then the basil and the mozzarella I mean really what more can I say. I'm not sure how long they've been there, though I do know it is indeed owned by an individual that really needs the support of the community to stay in business. That's the way these small local shops operate. They need us to support them so that they can continue to feed us their magnificent food. As soon as we walked in we could smell freshness. It was very clean even though there were many people coming in and out. The person who took our order had patience while we were trying to decide. We got a smoothie with beet in it, it was very good! We even went back the next day to get a green one and a coffee one. Both delicious! We will definitely be back!
