Peach, goat cheese & honey waffle

One of my favorite pick me ups to get in Milwaukee! I love getting a savory waffle for breakfast strolling through South Shore Farmers Market - talk about a perfect morning! The smell of their food truck alone is enough to convince me to order one. The ingredients are always fresh and the waffles are fluffy

Since everyone has known or heard about their signature thick, golden and yummy Belgian waffles, I am posting this for their sandwich and soup at their new permanent location in third ward. I didn't have high expectations about their sandwiches in the beginning, but I was totally blown away after the first bite. I got the Brie, Bacon, Apricot Jam and Arugula sandwich with rusty tomato soup. They were both of decent sizes. The sandwich was nicely prepared as you can tell from how tight it was paper wrapped. The taste was even better - slightly chewy yummy bacon, slightly sweet apricot jam and large, thick pieces of Brie cheese combined so well. The arugula gave that little hint of natural bitterness. Bread was not dry at all and was fluffy inside and chewy outside. The rusty tomato soup contained some chopped things which I wasn't sure about what they are but were very flavorful. I got so full after finishing my sandwich and soup. The cafe is very small (three tables in total I think maximum 10-12 people can sit) but it is so clean, bright and cute! I can smell the sweet waffles from the door of Marshall Building.

Honey goat cheese & mild chutney by SA BRAAI - slightly sweet & little spicy, amazing!

I mean, I'm not so much a sweet eater, but when I saw them parked outside of Anodyne on a Sunday and they were going to leave soon, I had to try. They had quite a few of fruit, cheese, and Nutella flavors. I asked for what was less sweet and there's when he said the honey goat cheese with SA BRAAI chutney, and I said yes to that! And it was really good! With a bit of a kick to it from the zippy chutney. The waffle itself is chewy and has a sugary outside, but not over the top sugary. It gave it this nice appearance and texture. I was really blown away with how tasty this waffle was! If you have the chance to try their waffles, hungry or not, definitely do it!!!

I am in love with Press Waffles. Everything about it is so awesome. We needed a smaller little breakfast spot in the Third Ward. Aside from your classic coffee shops with mediocre food in the area, there are just nice sit-down spots. This place is the best of all worlds -- great coffee, unique and delicious food items, and a small sit down area. Come and go, or stay awhile. The atmosphere is awesome. We have also loved the service we've had when we've been in there. It has been the same barista, and he is great at suggestions and small talk! We really enjoy coming here, and love that it's local.

tl;dr consistent, delicious waffles at the ready. This food truck tours around to a lot of Farmers Markets, but I've personally experienced it at the South Shore Farmers Market. Soft and fluffy on the inside, but sturdy on the outside for all your glorious toppins'! Strawberry, Nutella and seemingly homemade whipped cream graced the presence of my waffle as I sat on a bench and enjoyed the lake view and ate the whole thing. Pretty speedy service since they're pumping these out of a food truck, and the workers are always super friendly. Sweet and savory is an option - you have more hearty choices like honey goat cheese and candied bacon or honey goat cheese with a mild chutney from SA BRAAI. A sweet twist on a classic breakfast/brunch food and I like that they have the concept of a "waffle bar" catering option you could do for a work event. Other Farmers Markets they seemingly grace on the regular: Tosa Farmers Market and Shorewood Farmers Market.

Cute little hidden place! Definitely love supporting smaller businesses like this. Honey goat cheese and bacon waffle was amazing. Service was perfect. Definitely will come back when in Milwaukee!

If you've ever had Press Waffles at a local farmers market, you'll know how great it is to have a brick and mortar location to go to when farmers market season ends. But if you've never had their liege waffles before, don't delay! They have amazing seasonal features and fantastic year round flavors. They have great coffee options and other non-waffle food items on the menu to check out. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the space itself is quite darling and cheerful. It's a very small space but it's a quick and easy stop in, so make sure to do so!

Hi, this is Dominic the food reviewer. Today I tried a restaurant called Press Waffles. It is located on 207 E. Buffalo ST, Suite 104 in Milwaukee, WI 53202. It's on the first floor of the Marshall building. Same building as my favorite Chinese place Jing's. I thought the decor was like a European bakery and it was very clean and new looking. The workers were very nice and welcoming. They are open M-F 8AM-5pm, and Saturdays 9AM-5pm. Closed Sunday. They make Liege Waffles which are made with buttery brioche dough. The toppings they sell are very fresh. They also make Baguette sandwiches, salads, and soups. They make the waffles with the toppings right in front of you, so you can see everything. It smells great in there also. I had the Honey Goat Cheese w/ Candied Bacon waffle. My dad had the Strawbery w/ Whipped Cream waffle. My Grandma had the Speculoos waffle, which is like a cookie butter that has a gingerbread taste. I thought my waffle was fresh tasting, and the toppings were delicious. My dad thought it was the best waffle he ever had. My Grandma also loved her waffle. The waffle almost had a croissant taste, which was awesome. They also have a food truck that you can find at the Milwaukee winter farmers market at the Dome's on Saturday's. They also are at the Wauwatosa farmer's market, and the South Shore farmer's market during the summer. This is Dominic the Food reviewer. I think everybody should try these waffles. They were delicious. Press.

Featured Waffle: Clock Shadow Quark, fresh peaches, honey and basil....so good!!

I've seen this food truck often at different events and farmers markets and I've never tried them until today when their featured waffle piqued my interest. It had creamy quark from Clock Shadow Creamery, fresh sliced peaches, drizzle of honey and basil. What a great flavor combination!!! I am now a huge fan of Press Waffles.

look how cute this food truck is!!

found this adorable truck at the NEWaukee Night Market & when I saw the word waffles I HAD to check it out. I befriended a nice girl who told me I had to try the honey goat cheese & candied bacon one, and it was so so so good! the light sweetness of the waffle & honey coupled with the creamy goat cheese & generous portion of bacon was incredible. seriously, try this one! I couldn't stop telling people about it. what looked to be an average sized waffle was a huge portion, I was really full after eating it. the menu had savory & sweet options -- the lemon curd & blueberry one looked incredible as well.

I'm going to start this review by saying that I've known one of the owners for a decade but we haven't seen each other since he started this venture. I made a trip out from Buffalo to get these waffles (i'm serious), and they didn't disappoint. I didn't get the full farmer's market experience but I did get the opportunity to sample the toppings in Press.'s kitchen and it was well worth the trip from the 716. Let me tell you what these are not: they are not your typical brunch waffle fare. These are doughy, yeasty, caramelized, slightly crunchy outside, chewy inside delights. The selection of toppings is outstanding, and if I were coming to the market I'd have to get two: one sweet (lemon curd +blueberry compote) and one savory (goat cheese and chutney or goat cheese + candied bacon). The prices are reasonable so if you're in the same boat I am and can't decide? Treat yo'self and get both. And maybe 3rd one in the form of the Tomorrow waffle so you have one for the next morning. Just a thought. Awesome work, Aaron and Emily! Can't wait to see what's up next for Press.

One of Milwaukee's hidden gems!!! We had been meaning to stop by here in the morning (we kept seeing the little sign during our morning walks) and finally made it in. We have been missing out! We ordered the waffle with lemon curd, blueberries and cream and the goat cheese and bacon waffle and this was the perfect order. Sweet and savory! The sandwiches and other menu items looks great as well. They also serve great lattes! A must try in Milwaukee!

I LOVE Press!!! It is a staple on our Saturday morning Tosa Farmers Market trips. The bacon, goat cheese, honey waffle is my fave (pic). The peanut butter, bacon banana is a close second. I HIGHLY recommend press if you see them out and about in your area! You can't go wrong! Hmmmm. Now if they would only add coffee to their menu ;)

With their rotating menu items and weekly specials, I am definitely coming back after having such a flavorful and fun meal. Waited about an hour on a busy Saturday since one of their locations was closed, but the food was well worth it! I had gotten Wolfie's Patty Melt and it was filling and a great start to our morning. The bread was nice and crisp from the buttered griddle and held everything together perfectly. Inside the crunchy sandwich were 2 seasoned patties and enough gooey cheese to make it rich, but not heavy. To contrast the fatty flavor, there was a slightly tart bacon jam and onions that were truly caramelized. Overall really tasty sandwich with no notes! In the description it says there is a sauce, but I could only taste the onions and jam, so I'm not too sure what it added. The side of fries was ok, but I think some crispy thinner ones would have been better with the sandwich. For my drink, I got a hot Ube Chai. The chai was strong and had a spicy kick to each sip. Already a subtle flavor, the ube was not very strong with the chai mixed in, but still added fun color. The design on top was also very cute and added another dink of sweetness. My girlfriend got the Spamelette for her main and it was pretty pretty and delish. Not too often that you see Spam, but when you see it, trust it earned its spot on a menu! The big chunks of Spam and accouterments gave each bite a pleasant feel and one full of flavor. I was skeptic of the mushrooms at first, but they were seasoned well and added another kind of texture to the meal. I think my favorite toppings were the drizzle of kewpie and the green onions... not sure if it counts as a topping, but the tamari glaze of the spam made it delish. Taste aside, it was also a pretty meal! Pook got a Hot Chocolate for her drink. Nice simple drink for the cold weather. We would have liked to see some more chocolatey flavor, but still a good milky drink for the meal. This drink also had a fun design and nice cream top, yum yum yum. This was such a tasty meal and they have lots of other options that I was debating on getting - I guess we gotta come back! It was a really cold day, but the cozy atmosphere and hot drinks with our food made it a great experience. We had originally planned on going to the Downtown location, but it was closed because of heating problems. I wish there was a bit more uniformity between their menus, especially since the Brewers Hill menu has different items and is smaller, so it feels like there is quite the difference between locations. Going off of that point, I am excited to try their dinner menu when it releases and see how it compares to when we ate Downtown! I am not sure how the places differ, but I felt the food here to be more flavorful than the other location. In addition to the dining area, they had a small shop and coffee area in the back while you waited for your table. It was fun and made time pass faster, but I feel as though that area is also perfect for dining. Maybe there are specific reasons why it isn't, but just a thought. Hope to come back soon!

Breakfast at SweetDiner was the perfect way to start my birthday celebration!…read more A party of four of us came to SweetDiner on a Sunday morning, and while most of the tables in the main dining area were occupied, the host found us a table in the side room. This was perfect for us because it was much quieter in that room so we were able to have a conversation while enjoying our breakfasts! The design of the restaurant is so beautiful, with pink accent walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and painted flowers. It was the perfect backdrop to take photos of our food! Our waitress, Sophie, was so great! She was very kind and welcoming, she made sure we got our food quickly, and she even put a birthday candle in my pancakes! For my birthday breakfast, I indulged in some chocolate chip pancakes. It was definitely a chocolate overload, with chocolate chips inside and on top of the pancakes, and a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup on top. It was a big portion of 3 pancakes, and while they were definitely delicious, they were so rich that I couldn't finish it all! My sister had the cinnamon icing French toast, which looked like a cross between a cinnamon roll and French toast. She finished it all and said it was amazing! My dad took the more savory route and ordered the meat lovers skillet. It came with over-easy eggs and breakfast potatoes, and it was another generous serving that was a good deal for the price. I loved the SweetDiner, and I would definitely come here more often if I lived closer!

I love the marble tops and pink accents. We went at 9am today and had no wait which was a pleasant surprise seeing as though going for brunch hours can some times result in an hour plus waitlist. We shared the Nutella crepes and ham and potato hash with Gruyère cheese - both were amazingggg, the crepes especially!!! Our food came out SO fast (TG as I was starving). Our waitress was attentive and punctual. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I got a coffee after and ordered a cortado but was given a 12 oz cup of hot whole milk with one shot. I did ask for an off menu item, but they should just have said they don't know how to make it rather than serve an incorrect drink. They were kind and gave me a black coffee instead at my request, but sadly that was also very watery and underwhelming. Hopefully next time I will have a better coffee experience!

No complaints there at all. Now let's talk drinks, the Mimosa flight is a must-try. It was $25 and came with about 6-7 different flavors to pick from, all flavorful and surprisingly strong (in a good way). I do wish I had known about their $16 unlimited mimosas on Saturdays, that would've been a nice bonus, but the flight was definitely still worth it. Overall, it's a great brunch spot with good food, great drinks, and an even better atmosphere. If I'm ever back in Milwaukee, this is definitely a place I'd visit again.

Sitting outside maybe in the cards for you. Also, if you are unlucky to be seated at one of the tables near the entrance, be ready to dine with everyone waiting.
