Wanted to give it one star but couldn't due to the amount of times I've been back. This past time was the worst. Had to get our own high chair, food took forever to come out, the appetizer came out with all the food, burgers were overdone and one had a hair, and the food was cold. After we finished eating we sat for about 15 minutes without our table being cleared. Our server, Alexia, who was not very welcoming from the beginning, was standing at the bar talking the whole time. The place was maybe 1/4 full. I had to get up and interrupt her conversation to ask for the check. Disappointed. I've enjoyed this place a few times before but probably won't go back. read more

I went to watch an NFL game at 10:00. Place still fairly empty. Greeted rudely and told to sit anywhere. I asked which TV my game would be shown on so I could get a table near that TV. I was told they had not assigned games yet so just sit anywhere. I stood there until the TV's were assigned to games. Once seated, could not get served. I tried to get the attention of the server many times. Finally, went over to the bar and asked if I could get a menu so I could order. Menus were handed to me, again could not flag a server. After many attempts, someone took our order. 50 minutes later the food came out. The food is fine but the service and the demeanor of some of the staff leave a lot to be desired. This is a great little sports pub. A friend and I came here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a good selection of beer and a reasonably priced menu. We started with some Thai infused chicken wings. What a great flavor. Usually when I ordered wings thay have a vinegar aftertaste but not these ones. This is a must try. I then had a Philly cheese steak sandwich with the cheese wiz of course. The best I've had out side Philly. I ordered it with the garlic Fry's which were also phenomenal. I have tried the one on Fig Garden and also the one on Herndon in Clovis. I feel like there food is thrown together and they need that Bar Rescue to come revamp their food. My fries were a mix of not being done and hard as rock. THe french dip meat tasted so processed and feed the left overs it to my dogs when I got home. It was nasty. Went there a couple weeks ago. No one that walked in had a face mask on. The staff, which was only one waitress and one bartender, did not wear a mask. Tables were not spaced apart, and no menus. They didn't offer disposable ones. Service was very slow. I've heard negative things since then about the owner not abiding by the covid-19 regulations. The only thing they complied with was not using menus, but I guess they are too cheap to supply disposable ones like the other restaurants we have been to. We will NEVER go there again read more

After first writing a not so good review we decided to try it once again and what a difference! The new staff was very friendly and were attentive to all of us in our party. I visited this location last week. Tried to order an Apple Martini which was not on the menu. The waitress returned to the table, sat in our booth and asked what was in an Apple Martini because neither she nor the bartender knew. I ordered something off the menu instead. The drink was delicious. I also ordered their potato skin appetizer without bacon since I'm a vegetarian, and a small Caesar salad (which is on the menu). The first 2 potato skins didn't have bacon, the rest did, so sadly I was not able to eat them. The dressing on my salad was not Caesar. I'm not sure what it was. I'm pretty convinced it was made of Mayonnaise. So needless to say, I didn't eat more than a few bites of food. There were less than a dozen customers in the place and it took about half an hour just to get drinks and napkins to the table which seems a bit long. I usually love going to PressBox but after this disappointing experience, I don't think I'll ever go back. read more

I have been here 2 times and I should have learned the 1st time. The food is just so so but the service is even worse. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were very busy but no excuse the 2nd time. One of us ordered toast and it came about 20-25 minute later with no butter, no jam. Really? Who serves toast dry? I ordered the Avocado Toast and it was cold and not very much taste to it. Try to a find salt and pepper shaker? good luck. Need more water? Need more luck. Decided to give press box a try after having a co worker recommend it. Great little sports bar in the area! The crystal butter wings lived up to the recommendation. We went in late afternoon and it was happy hour so when we ordered the wings, we knew right away we wanted to order a second order! So good! Very different in taste and crispy which I love. We also ordered a burger and lunch special (half sandwich, soup, and salad). Personally for lunch I love to have variety so that lunch combo was perfect! The staff here is great at long as you make yourself known. Fun spot to watch some the games and grab a bloody merry, beer or mamosa. Overall, unless you want a burger, fries or tots it's not worth eating here. I have tried week after week to find something that is of quality and prepared well and left disappointed every week. For brunch the scrambled eggs are watery, bacon greasy, toast burnt, they are very skimpy on their avocados for their avacado toast, hollandaise sauce was broken and lack luster in flavor, and poached and over easy eggs overcooked to the point where the Yoak was cooked through. We have been going there for years to watch the Raider games, die hard every Sunday, service usually good until today, I got there early asked if anyone had requested a game for the large TV for the next upcoming game and waitress said no she asked which game I was there for she said ok once this game finished we requested first and they would put the game on. The niner game started playing so I asked her to switch it and she wouldn't even though our group was there first and requested it first. She said owner left it that way and she couldn't change it. I understand when you already arrive and someone else requested it first, but don't lead me on tell me it will be on that TV get me to order drinks then not put the game on that we requested. She should have been honest and upfront from the beginning. To all the Raider fans out there this place lost my business and the crowd I usually bring every Sunday, Monday. Came in on a monday night just after 9pm. Before I get two steps in. The two bartenders said they closed at 9. The sign outside said 10pm. I walked back to my car and noticed online everything said 10pm. As a I waited in my car for AAA. I left at 940 and noticed they were still there, hanging out behind the bar, all lights TVs on. It's just annoying when employees just shut a place well before they close. I can understand if it's like 10 or 20 till. But a whole hour. Just rude. I will not come back. read more

My friend and I like to try out new places we haven't been for lunch and thought we'd give this restaurant a try. I arrived first, went in, stood by the hostess stand and waited.... and waited....and waited for someone to seat me, or at the very least acknowledge me. FINALLY the bartender looked up (no welcoming smile) and told me I could sit anywhere I wanted. I selected a booth at the back of the restaurant, waited for my friend to arrive, and waited for a server to bring a menu/water. Well, I waited.....and waited....and waited. No one looked over at me. No one said they'd be right with me. I pinched myself - yep, still here, not a ghost. I felt absolutely invisible! While waiting, I got on Yelp, and after scanning the first couple reviews decided the inattentive service was NOT an unusual experience. I got up and left - and still no one acknowledged me as I made my way all the way from the back of the restaurant out the door. Customer service is extremely important to me, is a huge part of my job, and this was the worst example of customer service I have experienced in a very long time. You have one chance to make a first impression and this was a FAIL. I will not be back. read more

Was not impressed. My friend and I tried to go eat dinner and watch some sports last Saturday and were, told that they were completely full because people had reserved tables for a ufc fight. The restaurant didn't look full. Why not be like every other sports bar and have it first come first serve. Very disappointed..plus the hostess spoke in a condescending tone like we were supposed to know that it was full. Also, I have been there on other days and there was a ufc fight. We got charged a 10 dollar cover...what the heck...I just spent over 60 dollars on drinks and food now I have to pay a cover charge. Seriously, why don't you charge the cover for people who spend less then 10 dollars there. The people who only come for the fights. The reason for the 2 stars is because the food was pretty good. The ambiance, food and service is top notch, at the Press Box. There are TV screens on every wall covering a multitude of different sporting events. The bar, seating area and bathrooms are very clean and leave the impression that they are well maintained. I was also very impressed with the wide variety of food choices that are available on the menu. So far I have tried the Pesto Chicken Fettuccine Pasta, which was very good, and Tom's Favorite pizza, which was absolutely fantastic!!! The service here is also very good. Meredith is a very friendly and professional manager. The Press Box is definitely a hidden gem on the northwest corner of Fowler and Herndon that you should try if you are looking for a sports bar with top notch food and a good beer selection.
