I am still looking for the best subs in Miami. I cannot seem to find heros like NYC down here. In a quest to have a typical nyc hero I ordered the egg Salad sub. I was disappointed because the bread was dry and did not taste fresh. Also there was very little egg salad on the sub and it was not appropriately seasoned with salt etc. It was dressed with onions lettuce and tomato, which I'm not a huge fan of as usually I just get straight up egg salad, heavy portion in bread. I was starving and this was not very good. Sadly would not order from here again. read more

Used to go to this place frequently but as other reviewers have mentioned, the owner/manager or whoever he is, is a total jerk. He acts like the soup nazi from Seinfeld, but his sandwiches aren't good enough to put up with the rudeness. In my last visit he got annoyed because I was ordering two sandwiches (one for a colleague) and had me wait and let everyone else in line behind me place their order before I could order the second sandwich. To the jerk owner: Sorry I troubled/annoyed you with my business, rest assured it won't happen again. Update: Everybody be the judge. The salads are a great size and much more affordable than the surrounding establishments who tend to overcharge and under deliver. Let me just say how amazing it is to have this place housed in the same building that I work in. I used to work over in Brickell and longed for the day I'd be able to just go downstairs and grab a cafecito and some pastelitos. First things first, the staff is absolutely amazing. The owner and his people are all sweethearts and really make going in the mornings worthwile. The cafecito is really great as well (ask for the cafe con leche oscuro y dulce) and the breakfast is amazing. My favorite thing to order is a sausage, egg and cheese on a cheese bagel sandwhich. This thing is the greatest thing to eat to start off the morning. They are also a straight up NY deli and have great sandwhich selection for lunch, the Reuben probably being my favorite. Premo's accommodates the drink area with fresh cut lime for an extra burst of flavor for her tea. The portions are perfect for salads and sandwiches and most importantly, the ingredients are always fresh. The chicken is grilled just right and lays on top of the fresh romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, olive, feta cheese and banana pepper. All the best ingredients for a perfect Greek salad with protein options for a balanced and healthy choice. Their service team is always great, efficient, and friendly at this fine establishment. My wife typically pays about $12 for this salad and the drink, which is very reasonable for Miami. I was a very, very bad customer and went in today about 10 minutes before closing, but no sour looks or eye-rolling. This illustrates the small-business, know you and love you type of atmosphere you'll find at Premos downtown, even if you're not an everyday frequenter. Try the lobster bisque on Thursdays or Fridays (w/half sandwich is a pretty decent deal). There are a few tables outside too, good for this time of year in Miami. Here's why Premo's get five stars and not 4. I was REFUSED a sandwich today. Yup. NO WAY was I getting my roast beef sandwich, no way, no how. Now , I've lived in NY where they serve those famous mile high sandwiches, but this wasn't one of those food orgy type sandwiches. IT.WAS.PERFECT. The meat was absolutely pastrami perfect!!! Premo's is a classic deli smack dab in the middle of downtown. It is my go-to place for lunch during the week though they also serve breakfast. If you arrive around lunch time -- like every other office worker downtown -- you'll find a long line wrapped around the deli counter. But don't fret, I've never had to wait for more than five minutes! Although the inside space is cozy, I've never had a hard time finding a place to sit inside or outside. The meat is fresh as it is sliced on a deli slicer right in front of you. You can order a sandwich from the menu or you can custom design your own as they have many meats, cheeses and breads from which to choose. With every sandwich, you'll be offered the "combo" which means you can grab a bag of chips and a drink for a small amount. And during Passover, it is one of the few places downtown that will offer Passover-friendly choices (that's if you eat out during that time). Premo's makes their own tuna and chicken salad, and they are so good, I sometimes order containers to go. If you doubt the quality of the ingredients of your sandwich, take a look at the bulletin board where they post the labels of all of their meats and condiments. Super stoked to have found Premo's after Yelp-Check-In-Stalking my fellow 9-5 downtowners in search of new spots to grub. As one of the only two Yelpers in my Division, there's a lot of pressure to provide Downtown's top lunch spots. Thankfully, Premo's fits the bill. It's super quick and super delicious. I only recommend to order a sammie that has the meat sliced fresh to order. Yes, that's all I've had, but if fresh sliced meat is an option, why would anyone get a precooked chicken patty? I don't know Yelps, but you're only hurting yourself. Al of the breads I've tried are fresh and flavorful, but I always go for the rye. The first thing you will love about Premo's are the people! We have a mini Premo's downstairs in the One Biscayne Tower, where we have the great pleasure of seeing Jose and Joy happily making us food and coffee. This place is great for breakfast, as they have parfaits, granola bars, cuban tostada, cafe con leche (almond milk alternative), croquetas, pastelitos, bagels, and smoked salmon (my favorite). The only negative I have is that I don't like their eggs. :( I'm pretty sure they use liquid eggs from a carton. I'm very picky about eggs. I like them fresh! Also, they don't have spinach. The bread is grilled, then the corned beef, swiss cheese, saurkraut, and 1000 Island dressing; and then the entire sandwich is grilled again. Today I went here. The owner (I had to ask if he was the owner) was the friendliest person I've met in Miami. Had all kinds of breads and even though someone said get the pastrami on the French bread I got it on the rye with seeds (he had without too). OMG it was delishous. Average sandwich shop in downtown Miami. I went a little after the normal lunch rush so service was fast. I had a standard turkey and swiss and was offered standard (LTO) and unique (roasted sweet peppers) toppings. It seems that they charge for the meat by the pound rather than a straightforward menu price. My dining companion was sticker-shocked at her roast beef. They seemed to have a decent selection of bread and sub rolls. My wheat sub roll was a little stale which was sad. They also have a nice selection of drinks, healthy sides (yogurt, fruit, side salads) in a grab and go case which is nice. read more

Really, really good wrap (I had the buffalo chicken wrap, which they were happy to make for me even thought it wasn't on special that day), and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was ridiculously fast, even though there was a huge line when we got there.
