Literally anything they offer you as a tasting will be one of these high margin products, so proceed with caution. More than half of their bourbon aisle (83 different SKU's actually) is this trash including Chestnut Farms, First Call, Bondstone, Wolcott. Same with wines. So proceed with caution and don't listen to the recommendations of any staff person, as they can't be trusted. 2) Because this location has a huge # of SKU's, I've found about 20-25% of their craft beer sits on the shelf WELL past best buy dates. You have to literally dig through the cases and shelving to find non expired product. 3) Recent visit to the store had me purchase a case of harder to find bottles, that didn't have a best buy date printed on the sealed box itself. Got home and found the 'best buy' dates listed on the actual bottles well past the date printed. Called the store and spoke with a shift manager just to give them a heads up, who instantly got defensive, blamed vendors, and refused any conversation about any credit, any discount, any refund, any loyalty rewards points etc without making me make a 45 min round trip and proving it with the actual product, despite me offering to send a picture of the receipt, product, and box. This is pretty much everything wrong that happens when big corporate money buys out a trusted local brand that used to care about product and customers. Take your business elsewhere.

It was bright, clean, easy to navigate, and the prices were honestly really good. The selection was also top notch, and the folks working friendly. Overall a slam dunk and I'm kind of sad I don't live closer!

They're open Mon-Sat 9 AM-11PM, AND SUNDAYS 12-8 PM. 10% off wines every Tuesday. If you can't find it here, it doesn't exist! The array of product is enormous, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I went in to find one quick item, but got sucked in by the huge variety (and I love looking at creative and artsy labels) and left 2 hours later! A couple of current specials that caught my low-budget attention were 1.75 L Bacardi Rum Silver or Gold for $17.99, and 1.75 L Jim Beam Bourbon for $23.99... perfect for making my infamous Bourbon (aka Drunken) Cranberries for the holidays! The store is very well organized, with signage above all the shelves to make it easy to find the product you want. And I love any liquor store that has a good array of inexpensive ($0.40- $0.99) mini/airline bottles, and they have a LOT, also including some you don't usually see, like Chambord, but those are more expensive. The entire back wall is a 47-door refrigerated section, with a lot of space allocated to beer for every palate and budget. Lots of wine too, and so much more! It's worth a trip just to explore that, so get thee to 1078 W Santa Fe Street in Olathe! And I almost forgot...I got a YELP! check-in offer for 10% off the featured wine of the week! Those YELP! bonuses are few and far between these days!

I used to live within a mile from the store, so I'd frequent it while grabbing my favorite spirits. The store has a lot of space and well laid out with a very knowledgeable staff. Do they have the largest selection of alcoholic beverages or some prolific yet harder to find labels? No, but they have enough of the best-selling names to meet most demands. They have a good selection in their refrigerators meaning a lot of their popular white wine or champagnes are already chilled. I know the store has other amenities however I didn't explore them so I can't speak on those. This is my home base of adult beverage operations but the fact they have a good selection and close by. When I come in, I can shop with full confidence they'll have what I need. I highly suggest visiting them if you live close by or just passing through.

He was NOT kidding. In hindsight I should have set the bottle of wine on the counter and left, but I was so shocked at his rudeness and did not want to scare my daughter further by making a scene, so I paid and left. I will never go back even though we live close-by. They are never busy and their shelves are not well-stocked. There are two other places within a mile of Top Cellars to take my business and I will be going there from now on.

Not just by a day or two, but WEEKS or even a MONTH past the expired date on the bottles. This issue is not limited to just one brewery/distributor, but something I've seen with many different labels in-store. A tell-tale sign is when they are still selling winter seasonals like the Deschuttes Red Chair in mid May! On four different occasions I have brought this to the attention to the store mgr on duty, to no avail. The latest incident involved expired Green Flash and Deschuttes labels. Buyer beware! They have a fairly decent selection (not as good as Lukas, but better than the typical neighborhood store) and fairly typical prices, but apathetic Management that would rather sell expired craft beer to us than deal with a clearly recurring problem. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
