I had a meeting nearby and stopping by a liquor store was on my Friday night to-do list so I popped into this one and it was a great decision. It was bright, clean, easy to navigate, and the prices were honestly really good. The selection was also top notch, and the folks working friendly. Overall a slam dunk and I'm kind of sad I don't live closer! read more

Brown Bag Liquor - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Olathe, Kansas

First off, I love the name! Check out their Brown Bag Liquor app, or order online for curbside pickup at brownbagliquor.com/curbside. They're open Mon-Sat 9 AM-11PM, AND SUNDAYS 12-8 PM. 10% off wines every Tuesday. If you can't find it here, it doesn't exist! The array of product is enormous, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I went in to find one quick item, but got sucked in by the huge variety (and I love looking at creative and artsy labels) and left 2 hours later! A couple of current specials that caught my low-budget attention were 1.75 L Bacardi Rum Silver or Gold for $17.99, and 1.75 L Jim Beam Bourbon for $23.99... perfect for making my infamous Bourbon (aka Drunken) Cranberries for the holidays! The store is very well organized, with signage above all the shelves to make it easy to find the product you want. And I love any liquor store that has a good array of inexpensive ($0.40- $0.99) mini/airline bottles, and they have a LOT, also including some you don't usually see, like Chambord, but those are more expensive. The entire back wall is a 47-door refrigerated section, with a lot of space allocated to beer for every palate and budget. Lots of wine too, and so much more! It's worth a trip just to explore that, so get thee to 1078 W Santa Fe Street in Olathe! And I almost forgot...I got a YELP! check-in offer for 10% off the featured wine of the week! Those YELP! bonuses are few and far between these days! read more

If you want service and a fantastic selection then head over to Brown Bag. Several times they have helped me find exactly what I am looking for no matter how unique it was. Their staff always seems happy to be there and happy to assist. They feature a giant walk in beer cave with the normal fridges and a fantastic wine and spirits section. They also offer free samples on a very regular basis, even on Fridays. Another thing about this place is they decorate for Halloween and that makes it a desirable place to bring my daughter with so she can spend some time with me. They even have suckers behind the counter for little ones, just like I used to get when I went with my dad. read more

Greatest service, selection and prices. Staff will always do whatever they can to keep their customers coming back read more

Huge selection, and the best prices in the KC Metro area. Staff are knowledgeable and super helpful.

Came here literally by searching on Yelp for a store as I needed to pick up some beverages for a visit to a friend's house. I'll be the first to admit the name did not inspire confidence, but my needs were modest and I didn't need a mega liquor outlet to accommodate. Any doubts disappeared as I parked the car in the lot. Holy cow, this place is gynormous! And inside it's a virtual cornucopia of everything you could imagine in adult beverages. I cruised the single malt isle and was measurably impressed as I exited with my 6-pack of Spaten Optimator, not an easy beer to find in these parts. Yes, they've moved well beyond the good 'ol boy Natty Lite selection. Adult beers or the utmost quality and beyond. Massive wine selection. Unlikely I'll return as I'm rarely in this area of Olathe, but I can recommend it quite highly. Good for you, little suburb of JoCo for hosting a respectable liquor store that's about as good as any in the metro area I've visited. read more

These guys, and especially Barb and Anna, are serious about EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I like this place. The folks that work here are super nice. Fantastic selection of craft beers (my favorite) and also liquors and wines. Nicely situated a few skips away from Red Crow Brewing with restaurants near by. Definitely good place to stop in. read more

Brown Bag is the only liquor store in the metro that is an "experience". Always something going on there. Great staff, great selections of beers. If you want something and they can get it, they will. Awesome customer service. read more

Absolutely the best liquor store in Olathe! Great selection of everything you could possibly want from beer to wine to spirits. Always greeted by their friendly, knowledgeable staff when you walk in the door. read more

Love this place! Has everything you would ever want/need and the new location is incredible!

Gomers has better weekly deals. They need to advertise deals better. New location is ok. Liked the old better

Love this place. The folks working are very helpful, and they have an excellent selection. Best part: I can go at inning 3 of a Royals game, and they have TV's. So it's a few minute drive listening to Denny Matthews, then I roll in, watch an inning- grab some booze- then too home. Great place.SOLID prices. Highly recommend it read more

One of my favorite liquor stores in Kansas and it just got better with their the new location. Always a great selection of wine and enough beer choices to last a lifetime. Staff is always super nice and helpful. read more

My husband and I moved here from the west coast and didn't expect to entertain in a new area. Kansas sure surprised us and we are hosting on a regular basis. Neighbors and friends recommended Brown Bag when it became obvious we needed to expand our bar selections. We were not disappointed. The staff members are very helpful and friendly. Always available to recommend a nice wine or help us find a specific alcohol for a new cocktail. The store is clean and well stocked. I definitely recommend Brown Bag! read more

Great liquor store with a large wine section as well. You can find anything that you need here including mixers. The new location is a huge upgrade. Staff is always friendly and accommodating offering to help bring things to your car almost every time I have been in. read more

Love the new location. Great space. Friendly staff! Great supply of all things alcohol from beers to wines to whiskeys!

Best liquor store in Olathe! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. You can special order wines online! How cool is that? Just moved to town from Wichita and checked out several stores....this one wins, hands down. read more

It's an ok liquor store but the guys that work there are jerks every single time I go in there the manager feels the need to say something rude to me. Last time it was a sexist comment about that fact I'm a woman with a cdl license. Will never go again and would not recommend to anyone. Great selection but horrible smarmy staff. read more

I went here even with the bad review and was treated above and beyond. Not all reviews can be trusted and I am glad I went here. I am disabled and am unable to walk very far. The lady at the cash register not only helped me with what I needed for national margarita day but went and got the products for me. Talk about service. She helped me figure out how many servings it would make and showed me the recipe on the mix bottle...I haven't a clue how to make these just winging it. I wanted to make them like I get at Longhorn Steakhouse with the Patron Tequila and the Patron was on sale to top it off...Yeah!!! Thank you so much for all your help. :-) read more

Best selection, prices, and employees!!! It's like a giant candy store for adults! Go in for one thing and end up spending 30 minutes browsing their enormous selection! Plus they'll special order anything as long as it's available in Kansas, no extra charge! read more

The guys there always help me figure out the flavor profile I'm looking for. They also have a wide selection of popular and new liquids. Well played. read more

Easily the best liquor store in the Olathe area. I don't even live in Olathe anymore, but I go out of my way to pick up my booze here. The employees are always welcoming, and the prices are hard to beat. And can we talk about that new location? It's definitely the nicest looking liquor store around! read more

I have been frequenting Brown Bag for years and have purchased quite a bit of wine/beer/other over this period. Decent selection overall. Recently visited and a new check out guy could not have been more rude and unprofessional. With so many liquor stores to choose from I plan to never return. Good ridden, Brown Bag, your name says it all! read more

I used to love to go to Brown Bag when it was located on Santé Fe and Hwy 7, the staff always offered to help me with my purchase and accompany me to my car. Since they moved to the new location, there is no offer of help and I'm asked if I want them in a bag. Four glass bottles in a bag with no separation between them is not a good idea. I asked for another bag to separate them and the clerk handed me a single bottle bag and then he just stood there and watched me struggle with this awkward package as the bottles jiggled within. read more

HUGE beer selection including a walk-in cooler with kegs. Frequently find discount sale prices on various beer and wine. Staff is always willing to help over the phone or in person, and even carries out your purchase if you need help. Sometimes they have tastings and samples available, and even had a DJ rockin' some tunes on NYE! read more

Great liquor store! Never had an issue with customer service at all. Everyone has always been very friendly. Excellent selection as well!
