We also went with the ONION RING TOWER which consists of onion rings served with ranch or Cajun horseradish dipping sauce. The Cajun is the way to go. Next we the wings, which have a wide variety of sauce options, we went with, MANGO HABANERO which is a very Tangy-sweet with a habanero heat, and the HELL'S FURY which is enough ghost peppers to blow your top. Flaming hot to say the least and not for the faint of heart. I selected the JALAPEÑO CREAM CHEESE Burger, which is a prime Wagyu beef patty topped with jalapeño cream cheese spread, peppered bacon, and pepper jack cheese on a brioche bun. It was moist cooked just right with a light sear. Perfection. My wife opted for the SICKIES BURGER which is a burger topped with Peppered bacon, fried egg, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and American cheese, topped with onion rings and a splash of hot sauce. We conclude with one of their shakes, and they have several options to choose from, Banana, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Coffee, Oreo®, Raspberry, Strawberry, and Vanilla. I went with the Raspberry and my wife sent with the Oreo. Both were very filling. The staff is very accommodating and attentive that matched with a 1950s dinner vibe, it is a relaxing welcoming environment and this both enjoyable and comfortable. If you are thur the area you are sure to come away full. Highly recommend this place, it will not disappoint.

Took family there for my grandson's birthday. Loved the theme…read more Started off with happy hour appetizers......tater kegs and two orders of fried pickles, our kids favorite. Tater kegs were good, taste and size-wise. But we wound up hardly eating much of the fried pickles. They were drowned in salt, so much so even the ranch couldn't compensate or cover it up. My wife got the unlimited wings. She tried three different flavor of wings, all very salty to the taste. Sweet Chili, the Popping Pineapple and the Teriyaki. And the teriyaki really didn't taste like teriyaki at all. My daughter had the veggie burger, and she said it was very salty. I ordered the deviled eggs and the jalapeno creamed corn. The deviled eggs were good; filling was a little runnier than I usually like in a deviled egg. The jalapeno creamed corn had some good spice, but another dish that had entirely too much salt in it. When my wife and first got there to get the table for our party, the host asked if we had the app. We did not, he instructed us how to download it, and told us we'd be getting an email for a free burger. He also told us about the 20% off "Vintage" discount for seniors, of which I am one. At the end of our meal, the server (who was really cool, by the way) gave us our bill, which totalled with tax $165 plus some change. I told him I was a senior and wanted the vintage discount. He brought in iPad over, entered a couple things and brought us a new bill. I glanced at it and it said $163 and some change. So I walked after him and asked him if I paid up front and that's where they gave the discount. He said no you pay me and I did give you the discount. Sure enough, on the receipt, it was saying vintage discount......$2.60. Now I use math in my head every day for work as an air traffic controller, so it didn't take me long to figure out $2.60 is WAY BELOW 20% off of $165. I was looking for some fine print somewhere that might explain this particular math conundrum. Couldn't find anything. I was going to find our server or a manager, but the family was ready to go, and since it was a birthday my wife didn't want me to make an issue of it, so we left. Not happy with the liberal usage of salt in everything, and with today's prices, especially not happy with the issue with the discount that was about 18% short. Probably won't be back.

Pretty solid spot in Lenexa for your wine & spirits needs. I would rate their wine range and…read moreselection above average for a liquor store of their square footage, because they have a really nice setup of wine sorted by variety and region. Coolers line the north wall with national brand beer, craft beer, both local and regional, and ciders. I mean, you do want these cold, generally, so having so much of a selection in coolers is nice. My only note is that their craft beer selection tends to be more on the hoppy side, while I prefer malt over hop. But that's just me, and I'm not holding Justin's to that bar. Justin's also has a walk-in 'beer cave' that allows you to pick up beer in larger quantities. Nice touch! Pricing is right on the level with the market and they always have someone to help you up front. Another nicety is that they will frequently have local producers or liquor distributors that will do samplings in-store. It's a great way to engage with the producers/distillers, and maybe even expand your palate. Honestly, I frequent Justin's because they're the only local-to-me place that carries the canned wine that my wife likes to drink. But I've gotten to know the place & it's a pretty good neighborhood anchor.

I can't be sure if it was an employee or another customer. I'm really hoping other customer because I was so obviously lost in the tequila aisle and he just kept straightening bottles and moving on by.

I knew we needed a few things at…read morethe liquor store and I was dreading making another stop on this dreary Friday evening during rush hour, when I was making my way down the road and literally pulled up right next to Plaza Liquor. If memory serves me correctly this used to be an old berbiglia spot. Just thinking about those stores takes me back to my early 20s and thinking about how much KC has changed in a decade. At any rate, I pulled over, dodged some rain, and came inside. Now, anyone who remembers Berbiglias in KC might remember them as I do - kind of basic, a bit dirty, and the kind of place that you just kind of tolerated. I mean, I was in my twenties so I didn't know liquor stores could be nice and have variety, but now I do, and boy was I glad when I walked in the doors and found out that this newly redone Plaza Liquor is NICE. Not only is the interior nice, the folks working are super friendly, and they have an incredible selection. I found some craft beers from STL that my husband hadn't been able to find in a long time at liquor stores closer to our house, and they of course carried a good variety of wine and liquor as well. Overall this one is a great little neighborhood liquor store, and is definitely one I'll return to if I'm once again needing to pick up a bottle of wine on the way home.

We love the music on Sunday afternoons, and the food trucks/bands during the weekend. We love events like cookie decorating and pumpkin carving that they host! I appreciate that they give back to the community (Sundays with a "Pourpus" where part of each beer purchase is donated to a local charity for example), we adopted a puppy on one of those days! We've been coming since they opened and it's been really fun to see how they've grown in the last several years!

But you're coming for the beer, and the beer is really great. Limitless has gone from a location in a light office park to its own standalone building, complete with patio and plenty of space. There are generally half a dozen or more of their own craft brews on tap ranging from IPA through porter/stout. You may have even had some of their flagship beers elsewhere, such as JoCo Juice, a hazy IPA or Rolling in the Deep, a double New England IPA. I myself go for malt over hop, so I find their Marzen to be one of my favorite beers. If they have their Mexican lager on tap, then I also suggest sampling that as well. A flight of four runs you $14-ish and is a great value, as the sample sizes give you plenty of opportunity to really get a feel for their offerings. If you find something you really like, then you can take four-packs home to go in cans. Limitless is open almost every day, at least until 7:00 and when the weather is nice, the patio was a must do. There are frequently people playing a board game or just enjoying the space, and while I don't want this to be just another noisy space, they could do with maybe a TV or two more. But that is just me being picky and since they are in the neighborhood, I like visiting whenever I can.
