Total wine is the perfect place to shop for anything that you need for hosting a weekend party, or…read morejust to restock your wine. We can always find everything we need, the prices are fantastic, and sometimes my husband can even find a specialty bourbon he's been looking for. The stores are spotless, and full of helpful staff. They also do tastings and you can pay to have a tasting event there too, which looks really fun! If you're in a hurry for your party, you can also pick up cheese, crackers, another various snacks which is very helpful.

So Total Wine and I started out strong. I was sad to see Lukas Liquor go, but Total Wine was here…read morefor me with decent deals, big inventory, and mostly friendly staff. I was happy, and coming here when I was in the area. About six months ago or so I went in to get a multi pack of beer and I was pretty excited to discover that they have a huge wall of inventory from all different breweries that put these multipacks together to choose from. I found one that sounded cool, brought it home, and as I was unloaded them into the fridge I noticed they were MONTHS expired. Now, I know that with beer sometimes that doesn't matter so much, but it does when it's an IPA, and I feel like it should be disclosed that you're purchasing an expired product. All of that being said, a few more months passed and I decided to be more vigilant. I guess I'll have to really check each time I buy beer here from here on out. What frustrates me is that this happened to me again on my last visit. This time I went for a local multi pack from Martin City and I couldn't find an expiration date anywhere on the outside packaging but I thought surely it won't happen again. How wrong I was. All of the beers were again MONTHS expired. To be honest I was super disappointed and a bit upset. Had I noticed in the parking lot I would have returned but it wasn't worth my gas to go back so we drank them despite some potential flavor being off and I'm now fully committed to checking expiration dates on everything I touch in this store. If I don't see one I won't be buying it or I might have to ask staff, or check in the parking lot. So the long and short of this is that it's a nice, big, clean store with massive inventory and good deals. You absolutely need to watch out for expiation dates as they will sell you months expired product.

This location is the former locally-owned Lukas Liquors…read more Pros: 1) Wide selection of beer, wine, cocktails, mixers and more. 2) Prices on-par with large retailers Cons: 1) Staff are paid commission and heavily incentivized to push only Spirits Direct and Winery Direct bottles, which are essentially low-end private-label options they earn a high margin on. Literally anything they offer you as a tasting will be one of these high margin products, so proceed with caution. More than half of their bourbon aisle (83 different SKU's actually) is this trash including Chestnut Farms, First Call, Bondstone, Wolcott. Same with wines. So proceed with caution and don't listen to the recommendations of any staff person, as they can't be trusted. 2) Because this location has a huge # of SKU's, I've found about 20-25% of their craft beer sits on the shelf WELL past best buy dates. You have to literally dig through the cases and shelving to find non expired product. 3) Recent visit to the store had me purchase a case of harder to find bottles, that didn't have a best buy date printed on the sealed box itself. Got home and found the 'best buy' dates listed on the actual bottles well past the date printed. Called the store and spoke with a shift manager just to give them a heads up, who instantly got defensive, blamed vendors, and refused any conversation about any credit, any discount, any refund, any loyalty rewards points etc without making me make a 45 min round trip and proving it with the actual product, despite me offering to send a picture of the receipt, product, and box. This is pretty much everything wrong that happens when big corporate money buys out a trusted local brand that used to care about product and customers. Take your business elsewhere.

Awful. Hassled the entire time I'm shopping. No, I don't need help. Then they wouldn't let me have…read morea box for 4 bottles of whiskey that totaled over $200.
