Despite the indoor dining area being completely empty--we were literally the only customers in the establishment until 2:00 PM--management stubbornly refused to let our group sit inside. Their excuse? Our "party size was too big." Instead of showing an ounce of flexibility or basic human decency, they forced a heavily pregnant host and her guests to sit outside during an active Heat Warning. It was 93°F outside with a heat index making it feel like 105°F. This isn't just a matter of poor customer service; it's a severe health and safety hazard. Forcing women who are weeks away from their due dates to endure triple-digit heat index conditions while indoor, air-conditioned tables sit completely vacant is downright negligent. It showed a shocking lack of empathy. When we finally went inside just to take a few photos before leaving, it was confirmed that the space was completely unused. To value arbitrary, nonsensical "rules" over the medical safety and comfort of your patrons is a miserable way to run a business. We will never be back, and I strongly advise anyone planning an event to look elsewhere--unless you want a venue that treats its customers with absolute disregard.

I was SOOOOO impressed because o found on their shelf a book called The Body Keeps the Score about trauma. It's a must read and understood in my profession. It's rare for me to see this awesome book in a small store and it was sitting beside a book called This is for the Women Who Don't Give a Fuck. I need to check that out. I'm moving into that era! The store is very well organized, with signage above all the shelves to make it easy to find the product you want.
