We attended a baby shower here this weekend, hosted by a woman who is 36 weeks pregnant, for a guest of honor who is also in her third trimester. Despite the indoor dining area being completely empty--we were literally the only customers in the establishment until 2:00 PM--management stubbornly refused to let our group sit inside. Their excuse? Our "party size was too big." Instead of showing an ounce of flexibility or basic human decency, they forced a heavily pregnant host and her guests to sit outside during an active Heat Warning. It was 93°F outside with a heat index making it feel like 105°F. This isn't just a matter of poor customer service; it's a severe health and safety hazard. Forcing women who are weeks away from their due dates to endure triple-digit heat index conditions while indoor, air-conditioned tables sit completely vacant is downright negligent. It showed a shocking lack of empathy. When we finally went inside just to take a few photos before leaving, it was confirmed that the space was completely unused. To value arbitrary, nonsensical "rules" over the medical safety and comfort of your patrons is a miserable way to run a business. We will never be back, and I strongly advise anyone planning an event to look elsewhere--unless you want a venue that treats its customers with absolute disregard.

The front of the bar is decorated with planks from old wine barrels, which was pretty cool.

What a cool place!…read more I found this place because they were having a pop up plant sale but it's so much more!! It's a small winery. They were also having a local fashion show. They have poker night, karaoke night, comedy night, poetry slams. They have the cutest store with reading materials. I was SOOOOO impressed because o found on their shelf a book called The Body Keeps the Score about trauma. It's a must read and understood in my profession. It's rare for me to see this awesome book in a small store and it was sitting beside a book called This is for the Women Who Don't Give a Fuck. I need to check that out. I'm moving into that era! I might stay there! I must go back here!

But after adjusting our expectations, we had a nice time. I came here with my girlfriend for a date, and they got me the lavender blackberry gin and tonic, which was GREAT with the perfect amount of bitter and sweet. The service was pleasant, everyone seemed happy and friendly. The decor and ambience was very cozy and chic and witchy, which we loved. A note for other LGBT people/couples is that we felt very safe and comfortable. I know this is something I often search for in reviews, and walking in to a winery or place labeled as a "family farm" it kind of sounds a little bit like a toss up to if it'll be an accepting place or not, but we were very happy to find it feeling very LGBT friendly and safe. This would be a great spot to gather with friends and have a drink and play some games! They often have little events like this, that I'd love to come back to!

We enjoyed quesabirria tacos from a food truck for the first portion of our evening, then got wine slushies for the second part. She got the white sangria flavor and I got the peach. Each came with a little candy on top. Both were sweet and delicious, perfect for us since we don't loveeee wine. Every corner of KC Wine is intentionally designed for you to be able to relax, grab a drink, and chat. There is ample parking, but in a grass lot so be emotionally ready, as well as plenty of seating in a wide variety of choices! They have games like corn hole and giant chess. To celebrate the birthday they had complementary s'mores! I grew up in this area and have since moved away but I wish I still lived here so I could be a regular at this wonderful spot!

I got a wine flight so I could try multiple and of which I re-learned I'm not a fan of, except the Prairie Rose, to me it's the only true sweet wine. Also got a wine slush and loved it but usually do. Got to try a friend's soft serve marg and it was delicious! For me the specialty drinks/cocktails and the ciders are the real reason to visit, along with the bingo nights
