All Cities did an excellent job of explaining the options and going through how a salt-based hybrid softener system would provide the water quality we were hoping to achieve. I asked a ton of questions, all of which were quickly and thoroughly answered. There was no attempt to upsell us or talk us into anything. It was a very low-pressure engagement that made everything much simpler. We ended up going with a hybrid salt system that uses carbon and sodium chloride to condition the water (it can also use potassium chloride but the cost of that is prohibitive at this time). The installation went very smoothly. We were told it would take about 4 hours to remove the old system, install the new one and run a drain line across the garage to the sink. That is almost exactly what it took and the installer was very professional and easy-going. We are very pleased with the system thus far and I would highly recommend All Cities Water Treatment as a great option for anyone interested.

We installed a water filtration system in 2020 when we bought our home that required salt and allowing a tech regularly into our garage. As this turned out to not be our best option, we switched to the Spartan system- a seemingly low maintenance system shortly after. We were quoted $900, but paid $1900 due to a typo Rusty, the owner, placed in the e-mail quote. He put a symbol instead of a 1 in front of the other numbers in the email. So 100% more than what we were quoted, but we still ate the cost. We had a service call to check filters about a year later and Rusty actually took a filter out, rinsed it, tested water and all was well. He put on a jazzy demonstration for my husband and I and we felt we were in good hands. No filter needed changing, nothing. We were told our system should run well up to 10 years. Great. I learned later that we could have done a better job with regular follow ups for the filters and changes, but looking at reviews from the business manager under this site states they will call to remind customers of changes needed. This never happened and life got busy. In 2022 we put in a new dishwasher. Exactly 3 years later (last month), it needed to be replaced completely due to corrosion in the hoses and suspicion of "possible" hard water. I called RWI to have them come out and check the system. My home is tenant occupied, so it was explained to me by my tenants that the tech didn't know what the issue was, and was looking around for valves and basically said he would get back to us once he has some clarity. Next thing I know I'm getting a quote which I attached in a picture here. Calling for a review of this quote and an explanation as to the breakdown was pointless. The woman answering the phone reiterated that $700 in taxes was indeed not a typo. And the overall cost of this maintenance was almost as much as the entire system itself with no clear explanation as to what was found. She explained to me that she doesn't know that the tech did check the filters. I told her that this exorbitant cost is not something that we anticipated signing up for the system to which she replied. "well, then don't pay" after some back-and-forth. I specifically asked her "what am I paying for?" And she didn't understand my question. Why does media need repIacing, was hard water indeed found? No clue. I also informed her that when the tech was out, he stated that our system isn't a water conditioner, but rather a descaler. Seeing differently on the website, I asked her what exactly the system is supposed to do to then, she responded " I'm sure that was explained to you when the system was put in". Sensing a tone in her voice, poor customer service attitude, and incompetence, I asked to speak to someone else. Rusty, the owner got on and told me that I had an attitude as well, and he heard the whole conversation. No attempt to defuse anything, no attempt to start fresh, just jumped in with the same poor attitude I was getting from the woman who answered the phone. If a representative of your company is starting off a conversation in a manner that is rude, snarky, not helpful and condescending, you can expect customers to give the same back unless you are willing to rectify the situation as an owner. Rusty was not. I also have a reverse osmosis water system, and have been changing the filters annually myself, so we are not completely negligent. I will pay what I need to to keep my house running well and my tenants happy but if someone is not able to explain to me why something is being done, and what was found on a visit, It comes across as just giving me a quote and doing a job without really, knowing if it needs to be done. Change filters, sure, how is that $1900? And where is $700 in taxes ever appropriate? We accomplished nothing. I'm happy to take my business elsewhere and Rusty was happy to lose me as a customer.
