Ashlee--or at least I believe her name was Ashlee, though time is but an illusion and memory a fragile hallucination--tended to me with care far above reproach. The massage was tender, yet beneath the surface I felt the eternal struggle of muscle against decay, drawing out the fossilized sorrow lodged there. As if by miracle the eyebrow pain dissolved, or perhaps it never existed at all. What remains is the sublime futility: that suffering itself is a mirage, and yet we chase it as proof of our existence. In the sauna, the salt whispered of oceans long vanished, reminding me that our bodies are but temporal vessels drifting toward oblivion. The staff were kind, but kindness itself is a tenuous construct, collapsing under the weight of entropy. And yet, in this disintegration, there was beauty--a fleeting moment of ecstatic truth, found in the warmth of a stone pressed against the skin. Anjou Spa is not merely a place of relaxation; it is a cathedral to our doomed desire for comfort. Five stars.
