****Updated review**** Wow, what a difference a year makes…read more Yelp readers, this is a lesson in giving second chances even when you have a negative experience. So last year was a complete disaster. I had someone come and give me a quote and had no less than 4 broken promises of someone to come and do the install. A year later, my husband asked if we were going to try again. The owner did reach out last year after my negative review and an email I send to him apologizing after-all. Reluctantly, I reached out again this year. I contacted the owner directly. He responded right away and welcomed the opportunity to provide service this year (Christmas lights). 10/10 experience! Someone reached out scheduling my date, someone texted to confirm my date, someone called the day before to confirm the layout, we even FaceTimed! Someone called the day of to confirm again, and the confirmed person arrived on time! He did an amazing job. When I asked for one thing he confirmed I really wanted it like that and once he questioned it I realized I didn't, it wouldn't have looked good so I appreciated him asking as opposed to just doing it like the layout said. He tweaked things once he looked at it from a distance and I mean the entire experience was just amazing. So much so we are going to have them quote us some permanent outdoor lights for our backyard. BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE! Our upstairs laundry room overflowed…read moreand flooded in Feb 2025. Our original flooring had been discontinued and we'd worked with several companies to find a similar style. After weeks of searching, we reached out to Trent's Carpet Cleaning & Restoration. He found the exact flooring we wanted and said he could start right away. We also opted to have Trent's replace carpet in areas insurance didn't cover. He said the flooring would have a lifetime warranty and would not chip or scratch. He promptly took a $10,000 deposit, only to later tell us we couldn't get the flooring we picked. We ended up reluctantly agreeing to a different floor Trent suggested. From day 1, we had issues. He positions his company as a family business operating with integrity, but I would challenge that. Trent never visited the job once work began and did not manage the project. I had to act as liaison between him and his workers. The days and times they showed up were never consistent and rarely communicated. Throughout the process, Trent tried to cut corners -- despite insurance covering the cost. Workers would show up unannounced, and Trent would call expecting us to pick up and move everything for them. With 3 young kids (including a newborn), this is not realistic. Not to mention, insurance covered moving as an exact line item. Trent also tried to re-use broken shoe molding and quarter round instead of replacing -- again, items specifically covered by insurance. Several damaged pieces of flooring were installed and they were clearly frustrated when we asked for them to be replaced. We had to constantly inspect the work and confirm items were being addressed. By the time the job was "done", we just wanted them out of our house. When it came time to pay the balance, Trent collected nearly $5,000 in additional "overhead and profit." He came to pick up the check without doing a walk through, asking for feedback, or thanking us. Right away, the flooring started chipping from the smallest things -- a Norwex mop, a small plastic toy, etc. We emailed Trent on Nov 4, which he never responded to. Shortly after, we noticed water around the downstairs toilet. A plumber told us the wax ring was not replaced when the toilet was reinstalled after the floor work. Ironically, Trent had a plumber connect and disconnect our water softener, but didn't use one for the toilet. On Nov 21, I reached out again. After several follow ups, he finally came out Dec 9. Trent acknowledged the chipping and the water damage, though stated several times they always replace the wax ring. He said he'd file a warranty claim for the chipping but couldn't return until the New Year to replace the water damaged flooring. I followed up Jan 6, Jan 23, Feb 9, Feb 16, Feb 20, and Feb 23. Trent said he was waiting on the warranty decision before addressing the bathroom floors. Despite multiple follow ups, there was no decision. On Feb 23, Trent sent workers to do the repair with zero guidance and no replacement flooring. I contacted the manufacturer, who confirmed Trent had never filed a warranty claim. When I asked if I could file it myself, I was told it had to go through Trent -- who clearly does not take care of his customers. It is now Mar 30. Our water damaged floors have not been replaced, the $200 plumber bill has not been reimbursed, and nobody has contacted us about a warranty claim.

We rent this home out and had nightmare tenant up and leave with no notice. We live out of state and were not expecting this mess so I contacted GOAT for assistance for my partner who was the only person there. He cleaned up (trash left by tenant and did a light clean prior to the cleaners arrival) and after this so called deep clean the house was left with the photos attached.

I was told the team would arrive at a certain time, so I made an appointment about 5 minutes away for 40 minutes after they were supposed to arrive. Unfortunately, by 10 minutes before my appointment, they still had not arrived and the only communication I got was "they are on the way", so I had to leave. I tried to call for further direction but couldn't reach anyone. I had to leave my door unlocked and a note on the table, asking again for a full deep clean with a focus on removing dog hair, as a pet just moved out of the home. The entire home had already been decluttered and with all very basic cleaning done. When I got back, the cleaners were gone, and I received no further communication from anyone. They had done a really mediocre job, and definitely not the deep clean I requested. I asked that my blinds be cleaned, but they just got a quick dusting (could tell by the little feathers I found everywhere)- these blinds somehow get a thick layer of dust on them that needs wiped down, each plank individually- which I requested and had hoped to repeat in person if they had arrived on time. I can dust them off quickly myself- the whole point of hiring someone was so I didn't have to do it; now that task is still on my to-do list. They did not even touch my fridge, which was the part of this deep cleaning that I was most looking forward to- everything had been pulled out, cleaned and put back the first time I used the service. Didn't appear they even opened the fridge this time. I found dog hair and dust everywhere, all sorts of spots missed or clearly just swiped with a feather duster. There wasn't any attention to detail- you could tell the light switches didn't get wiped down as there were smudges on them still. Spots still on kitchen cabinets. Just overall a disappointing job with a poor communication and attention to detail, and did not follow requests of the client. It was fine if I asked for a basic clean (still would have been a little underwhelmed with it)- but I reiterated deep clean with what I needed done multiple times. I also found random stuff moved all around and not how I had left it. I found this really strange and it was not super appreciated. Obviously some items need to be moved to be cleaned- but why move stuff all around instead of putting it back how it was found? Last issue- there was a puzzle (a really big, tricky one at that) out on the coffee table. A puzzle about 70% done and clearly in progress. Had they arrived on time I would have told them in person to work around it- but I just had to leave that up to common sense. Wish I had left a giant do not touch note. When I returned, they had picked up the entire puzzle and put it back in the box. Really frustrating and honestly a bizarre move. I won't be using them again.

We noticed that night that the carpet was quite wet, and it stayed wet for longer than usual, almost three days. On Day 2, two dark, rust-colored stains appeared in a highly visible area. We immediately called C.T.M. (no answer). We left a voice message as well as an email (CWBID7373 AT hotmail.com). No response, so we tried again during the next week from different phone numbers and different email addresses. To date, June 22, we have had no response from them. We have no idea what the stains are from -- the carpet itself? adhesive? subflooring? We don't want a refund, only for someone from C.T.M. come out restore our carpet to the stain-free appearance it had before they cleaned it. It's kind of on the expensive side, but considering the equipment, ease of the process, & speed in which it's accomplished, & the fact that if we didn't hire someone to do it, it wouldn't be done, it's worth it. To my understanding, the initial year, you purchase the lights, wreaths, bows, etc., the fee for installation & storage. Then subsequent years you are paying for storage & installation only, because you technically own the lights but they store them for you. They make it super easy to schedule put up & take down with reminder emails & automated online forms. The lights include a timer for auto on & off. They look great. I really love them.
