I still pay for electricity a small amount plus all con Edison tacked on fees( another disgrace company) my monthly bills for the solar panels was quoted $250 but I'm billed $289 per month plus my con ed bill...oh don't worry you will receive a $12,000+ tax credit (federal) to help pay off your $38,000 loan and a state tax credit also for thousands.. yeah we'll I was issued $6000 for federal and still awaiting approval for $3000 for the state , $9,000 total, barely moved the dial on this loan..and they don't lower your monthly cost after paying down your loan as stated by the sales rep. I pay almost an extra $300 that I can not afford in this economy, Believing I would trade out one bill for another, benefitting in the long run, both for me and our environment..I was bamboozled into paying 2 bills for the same production... Let's not talk about how they had to come back to my house and also troubleshoot these solar panels because they did not work for the first couple of months . I'm really thinking I should sue them. I have the rep in my house on recording telling me all these lies.

Fantastic experience with SUNation Energy. Was referred by a friend and had great dialogue with our…read morespecialist Rob Moser. He walked us through the process, the benefits of solar and what set up makes most sense for us. He also was able to get us great pricing which was almost 10% lower than other estimates. Paperwork and payment was a breeze! Once the permit was approved (took about 5 weeks after signing the agreement), they came and installed the panels in a few days which was impressive (probably lucked out with availability). The install crew (was literally an army! about 8-9 guys) came promptly at 7:45AM (15 minutes early which was great) and was finished by 1PM. The head of the crew walked me through the process and closed out great showing me the app and next steps. Clean up was also fantastic as nothing was left behind. Currently we are waiting for the inspection so we can start banking the unused solar for future use. But still we are generating over 45 kWh daily (on a sunny day) and our average usage is about 30 (we have 2 EV's) so we are about 150% efficiency which is great. Though we can not bank yet, we are still utilizing solar power so our electric bill for the past week will be minimal. All in all, SUNation Energy is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and customer service seems to be a top priority to them. My neighbor and inlaws are now interested in solar and will be referring them to SUNation and Rob Moser - they also have very nice cash incentives for referrals!!!

This company completely misled me and put me in financial hardship. They signed me up for two…read moreloans, one of which I can never benefit from because I am a low-income homeowner and do not owe federal taxes. They told me the "tax credit loan" would be covered once I received money back from the government, but what they failed to explain is that the federal solar tax credit is non-refundable. That means if you don't owe taxes, you get nothing. Now I am stuck with loans for 25 years, paying interest on money that I should never have borrowed in the first place. On top of that, my Con Edison bill is still over $100 every month, so instead of saving money, I am paying over $600 every month for solar + electric combined. This company misrepresented the federal tax credit, pushed me into loans I cannot afford, and left me worse off than before I installed solar. They took advantage of me and other homeowners who don't understand all the fine print. And now, no one answers my calls to solve my issues. If you are considering solar through this company, stay away. They will make it sound like you'll save money, but the reality is you could end up trapped in debt for decades, with higher bills than before.
