He walked us through the process, the benefits of solar and what set up makes most sense for us. He also was able to get us great pricing which was almost 10% lower than other estimates. Paperwork and payment was a breeze! Once the permit was approved (took about 5 weeks after signing the agreement), they came and installed the panels in a few days which was impressive (probably lucked out with availability). The install crew (was literally an army! about 8-9 guys) came promptly at 7:45AM (15 minutes early which was great) and was finished by 1PM. The head of the crew walked me through the process and closed out great showing me the app and next steps. Clean up was also fantastic as nothing was left behind. Currently we are waiting for the inspection so we can start banking the unused solar for future use. But still we are generating over 45 kWh daily (on a sunny day) and our average usage is about 30 (we have 2 EV's) so we are about 150% efficiency which is great. Though we can not bank yet, we are still utilizing solar power so our electric bill for the past week will be minimal. All in all, SUNation Energy is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and customer service seems to be a top priority to them. My neighbor and inlaws are now interested in solar and will be referring them to SUNation and Rob Moser - they also have very nice cash incentives for referrals!!!

Solar is for sure a racket and there are plenty of devious companies out there, horizon is not one of them. My bill has been reduced to service charges and taxes. I've got plenty of banked energy. Read all details below: A level of incompetence you'd need to experience to believe. We signed on with them in March of 2025. They installed the panels in May of 2025. The panels were installed on the far left of my roof by 2 guys, one of which could not have been more immature and unprofessional with the way he was talking outside my house about doing drugs, getting drunk, and the girls hes been with. When they were done, I noticed there were 2 less panels than they originally told me there would be. My wife, who didnt want them on the front of our house to begin with, asked that they simply come back and center the panels on the roof. That took another several weeks. Then, our "pre-approval" apparently expired because they were too incompetent to ask that it be extended while they were sorting things out on their end since the finance company that originally pre-approved us went bankrupt. It took several more months to finally get a new company to put forth the approval. From there, it was another couple of months before the panels were activated finally in February of 2026. Almost a full year since we signed on with Trinity. But wait, theres more!! I heard from the representative I had been dealing with and he asked if they could come install a monitoring device to my electric panel. I asked if it was a requirement because I really didnt want them coming back to my house. He told me it was recommended and free. I did not respond but he scheduled the service anyway. Two young kids show up the next day to install the monitoring system and guess what! They broke the fiber cable for my internet. So I had to call Verizon to get them to send a tech to fix it and I demanded that Trinity reimburse me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR HEAR FROM OTHERS. There was little or no communication from the installers and electrician to me while they were doing the work so I felt under informed while they were doing the work. I didn't even know when they were done. They just left without walking us through the work. I had to get them before driving away and even then it was not a great experience. Overall the work and communication seem to be good and I would recommend the company and Mark as a rep. The system is still new so I will see how the panel perform over the months and years but so far we are happy.

One of the scam companies I had spoken with and never signed a contract nor indicated I wanted to move forward - after almost a year- out of nowhere, applied for a permit to put solar panels on our house. We live in Yonkers. I was horrified! I had no communication with them and they did this behind my back. It took a couple of months to straighten this out because a fine had to be paid by them to remove the permit. We first needed to put a new roof on before putting solar. It was such a scam and the company was located actually out west. That's when I called my real estate agent Jeremy and asked for his advice because he went solar and was extremely happy, and he had done all of the research. We took Jeremy's advice and we are thrilled! From the very beginning, it was a pleasure working with David Kowalsky. Not pushy. Very easy to reach at any time. He answered all of our questions, very straightforward and was always there for us. He searched around to find the best financing and any of the New York incentives. We first had to get a new roof on our 100 year old house. Once we got our new roof, we moved forward with Long Island power solutions. Everything went smoothly with them and they made the process actually enjoyable. Once they came out to install the panels on our 100-year-old colonial house, we didn't even know what they were here. It was very smooth, and they finished perfectly within the day and put up protection against the squirrels and raccoons of which we have a lot. I was afraid of them getting on the roof and destroying things. Where we live, we have a lot of wildlife. When they finished that day, they left our yard cleaner than when they arrived. We went online finally last September. We have the Ephase app on our phones and enjoy enormously, seeing minute by minute how much power we are drawing in from the sun. We even get power on cloudy days. Like everyone around the New York City and Westchester area, we have been stuck with consolidated Edison, which is a monopoly and for profit. Our bills have been jumping sky high and ConEd has been pocketing huge profit from everyone in this area that are stuck with them. We are so happy to have solar! While the sales team was professional and assured me they had extensive experience with the strict solar regulations in my area, there was a significant gap between those assurances and the actual permitting process. I was initially told I would only be responsible for a specific village application fee (should the village deny the proposal). Unfortunately it was denied, I was charged $2,500 for various fees including site surveys, administrative costs, and architectural drawings. The project unfortunately did not work out, and the most frustrating part was the permitting and billing hurdle. I had to spend a considerable amount of time negotiating with their customer service team to lower those initial fees, eventually settling on a $1,000 charge for the work performed. They seem like a decent local company, but their internal processes--especially within the permitting department--need better alignment with the promises made by sales. My advice to others is to double-check every detail in your contract before moving forward.
