The interests rates are outrageously high, but bear in mind that those rates are fairly general across the pawn industry. What you are looking for is good terms, nice friendly people and good service. It is always a rather unpleasant experience dealing with a pawn shop so it is best to find one that is bearable. The people in this shop are good folks. I never buy anything from a pawn shop because the prices are a bit too high in my experience. I prefer Craigslist for purchasing used items. Poor people are always financially penalized for being poor while the rich are financially rewarded. Once you get broke enough, you get caught in a downward spiral that never ends -- high interest rates, fines for being late on registration, late fees, banking charges, poorly maintained vehicles breaking down, high food costs from convenience stores, police harassment, and on and on. Pawn shops are just part of that destructive machine.
