Not wanting to spend an arm and a leg Haley recommended we work with Chris at San Antonio Gratite Works. I shopped around over the weekend before we met with Chris at his shop and he and Zuma helped us pick out a gorgeous remnant and the price was unbeatable. Next up was getting the template made which followed the next day. Chris understood our need to move quickly and was able to work us into his very succesful business' calendar. After the template crreation Crhis team was going to install the granite the next day. So that is only at four day turn around, which is unheard of in the countertop fabercation world. Chris called on the day of the install with bad news... my wife had unfortunately mismeasured and the piece of gratine we had selected was to small for the job. With Chris and company out on jobs, my wife and Zuma found a new remenanat, but this tiem it was SileStone, which is what we have in other areas of the house. Amazing! Customers come first at San Antonio Granite Works. Chris was still able to get the job done in time for our realtor's pictures of the house and we could not be happier with the service we have received from this wonderful local business. Not suprising that they take of people they have provided San Antonioians charity work many times via Mi Casa and other support services. We previewed their work and was apparent they take pride in their jobs. My Wife had difficulty finding a stone that complimented our decor and Zulma, one of the owners, took the time to go with my Wife to multiple stone yards to find several stones that fit our budget and decor. After selecting our slabs Chris, one of the owners, came to measure and produce templates once we had chosen our slabs. Once the slabs were delivered to their warehouse we had the ability to go to the shop and layout the templates on our slabs of marble and granite, ensuring the grains and patterns were presenting to our liking. The installed product was exactly what we had in mind. The granite and stones were beautiful and the production (cuts and edges) were beautiful. Chris and his installation crew ensured the product they delivered exceeded our expectations. Unlike others, they don't perform an installation and send another crew behind them to fix production problems or installation mistakes. I had 3 other BBB a+ rated companies come look, and all said the issue was poor installation. they all were shaking their heads. what makes it worse is they won't honor their warranty! Blame something else and avoiding their responsibilities under their warranty is what you can expect from this company. roll the dice if you dare using this company. they will just blow you off. zero stars if I could

Triple R refinished and replaced my kitchen cabinets. They did an outstanding job refinishing…read moredamaged doors and baseboards and replaced some doors, and paint application is flawless with clean lines. I recommend. Details below. I used Yelp's Project feature to get quotes on this job. I called Triple R too asking for quote, and it took a few days for a return call. They visited to see potential job and quote, as did a couple of other companies populated by Yelp's Project feature. Triple R's price was competitive, and their service features, guarantee and availability was the reason I booked them. The process was explained at booking. The cabinet and drawer facings were removed. A few days later they provided a paint sample on a cabinet door so that I could see the true color of how the paint looks. I'm glad for the test because the colors were too light. We tried a darker shade, which took a few days to get, and that was much better. The kitchen is completely closed off for 3 days, and we were asked to pull out the oven away from the wall so they can spray paint. They put up a plastic shield, ceiling to floor, to spray paint boxes of the cabinets. The facings are done at the shop. We had no access to refrigerator, oven etc. Triple R's work also included installing new doors (included in quote) new knobs and handles (we provided), new soft close hinges (they provide) and new bumper pads (they provide). Overall job took 3 weeks. Most communication was by text. Triple R is a family business, so grace given that their Yelp profile is not robust (2 reviews). And grace given with black dust that is a residual effect of interior spray painting (no damage resulted, just had to thoroughly clean afterwards).

Also took up carpeting and tile (except in bedrooms) and installed luxury vinyl plank flooring. It was a long processes, but the precision and attention to detail throughout, was amazing. Initial extensive assessment was on 31 Dec 2019. The entire team was professional. Courtney my designer was awesome. My greatest fear was making bad choices, expensive bad choices. No fear, if I strayed from the path, she subtlely redirected. When we finally began work, it was the last week in Aug 2020 (thank you Covid) It went beyond all expectations. All of the tradesmen were great. I was at work a majority of the time, but felt my home was safe. Communication was good. Any issues were quickly addressed. Kudos to all involved with the project but special thanks to project managers Tony and Luis. Luis had to pick up the project near the end when Tony had surgery and smoothly took over. Painters Miguel and Erasmus, Rudy, Alvin, Rob, Dan et al Pumbers, tiling and electricians were great too. 13 weeks later, mission accomplished. What I thought would be a nightmare experience was a mere inconvenience for a few weeks. Totally thrilled with my 'new' house. Thank you to all who were involved in my project!

I was in the market for blown-in insulation, so I called KM Builders and scheduled an appointment…read morefor an attic measuring and estimate. A member of the office staff told me, in such a tone that suggested I should be impressed, that the owner Keith Moehle will personally come meet with me. So Mr. Moehle comes out and immediately starts trying to sell me on products I did not express interest in when I called. My bullsh*t detector goes off, but I give him the benefit of the doubt. When leaving, I ask Mr. Moehle when I can expect my estimate. He says after the weekend: 3-4 days. After a week I call and ask the office staff where my estimate is. They say they'll as Mr. Moehle. After two weeks I call and ask more forcefully, "where's my estimate?" They say they'll as Mr. Moehle. After two and a half weeks, I start badgering them and finally they send me an estimate. I follow up the emailed estimate with a few questions, but a week and a half after that I still have not received a response. Actually, after the first week of waiting for the estimate, I knew I wouldn't hire them, but since they wasted an afternoon for me--stayed home from work--I figured I deserved an estimate. So here is my conclusion: 1) They try to upsell you with products they claim will save you lots of money. Maybe the products are great, but if you're expecting someone to come out and bid on a specific project, but instead they bring out the dog and pony show, can they be trusted? 2) If you have to badger a contractor to send you an estimate, ...if you have to badger them to give them money, what does this say about them? What if the contractor gets his down payment for the job and then "hems and haws" on when they'll be showing up like they did for the estimate? I am not saying they do this sort of thing, but their behavior makes me a little nervous. 3) The meeting with Mr. Moehle again set off my bull detector when he started boasting about his 80 employees and radio show on WOAI radio. I didn't know he had a show, but if I paid WOAI for a weekly show about shoe laces vs. velcro straps, I am sure they'd give me air time too. A pay for play radio show doesn't necessarily translate into reliability. 4) KM Builders gave me an estimate of $2,400 for blown-in insulation. At an industry standard of $0.40/foot, that would mean I have a 6,000 square foot attic, which it isn't. Another local firm, Williams Insulation estimated $426, which was a very professionally priced bid. Mr. Moehle might give me a song and dance on William's inferior fiberglass products, and thus, their cheaper price ...but he is unresponsive.

He was not pushy about the installation and encouraged me to shop around. Ray and Carlos both explained the process of the installation and the best part was payment after the job was done. None of the b.s. of half now for materials and the other when the job is done. The way business should be. Installation day came and for a big front and backyard, they did it within a day without any interruption in our daily water usage. They walk me through all 11 zones to make sure everything was working properly and showed me how the drip lines worked. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the installation and service. I looked forward to dominating the block with my green grass and spending more time with the family instead of getting eaten alive by mosquitoes while I'm watering the lawn.
