I'll probably leave an update around 6 months post op, because that's when the ultimate results start showing. My post op nurse Rose, along with my lymphatic massage therapist Dayanne, have both been wonderful in guiding and assisting me on my post op recovery journey as well. The girls at the front desk have been kind and helpful also. I recommend Dr Golio and his team at Avana because I have had a positive experience with them. The only negative issue I experienced has nothing to do with the surgery itself. I went in for a consultation when there was a special going on. They told me I could have two additional areas done for free. I verbally agreed to do my thighs as well, and they told me they would include it in my package. So I believed that I was going to have my thighs done as well, even on the pre op day. However, just before the surgery, the doctor told me that he could not do my thighs as it was not listed as part of the procedure. I felt a bit duped by this.

My daughter and niece tagged along for the great price so we all did the surgeries together. They required a detailed physical including chest x ray if over 50, EKG, hiv, drugs and all the other pertinent labs. So during the whole process the medical assistants will keep sending you millions of text messages about wanting to add more procedures, reminders on appointment, medical Clearance and payments. Some of the girls are very nice while some aren't. anyway when I finally reached in Florida and went to the location. They have a nice facility. we did our preop, including making final payments and urine test and to make sure that you have a pick up person. That went smoothly. Still havent seen the doctor until day of surgery. On the day of surgery, they got me in my scrub and that's when I saw doctor Dress, he was pleasant but brief. He marked me up and next I was wheeeled off to surgery. I was knocked out by the anesthesia so I didn't get to see dr dress again. anyway I woke up in excruciating pain and was freezing cold. I cried out in pain but the nurse Didn't even addressed my needs. They just wheeled me out of the area quickly to get rid of me. My pick up person took me home and I took some pain pills that I brought with me and went straight to sleep. After few hours the pain subsided a little but I managed. I ate some chicken soup and went right back to sleep. The next day I took a bath. it's hard to give an update on the result because I have a lot of swelling but I do see a huge difference in my body. I am pleased so far with the results and so does my daughter and niece. They also like their results. Overall the staff is friendly except for a few of them, it would be nice to see the doctor after the procedure or have some more time with him, and lastly the nurses need to address patients needs especially after surgeries and crying for excruciating pain. I will give them a 3/5 stars based in my experience

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I chose this facility based largely on the surgeon…read morewho was originally presented to me during the consultation and booking process. After paying a deposit and moving forward with scheduling, I discovered that the surgeon assigned to perform the procedure had been changed. What made this even more frustrating was the way the booking process was handled. I was expected to review documents, sign agreements, and make payment within a very short timeframe during the same call. I did not feel I was given a reasonable opportunity to fully understand the terms or the possibility of a surgeon substitution before committing financially. The identity and qualifications of the surgeon were a major factor in my decision to proceed. Learning about the change after the fact significantly damaged my trust and confidence in the process. When patients are making important medical decisions, transparency and clear communication should be a priority. Based on my experience, I felt pressured during the intake process and disappointed by the lack of clear communication regarding a change that directly affected my decision. As a result, I chose not to move forward with treatment and requested a refund of my deposit. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who expects clear communication, transparency, and sufficient time to review important medical and financial documents before making a decision.

Dr Kaufman has good besdside manners. He talks a lot, he listens what are your goals or priorities…read more He has a good reputation and everyday the waiting room is packed that made me wonder how he managed to see all those patients and do surgeries at the same time. The clinic staffs are very busy. Long waiting time in the waiting room even if you have a 9am appointment, you will be seen past 12noon based on experience. Post op nurses here are always on a rush, they also have earbuds on their ears talking spanish non stop and I cannot understand anything. Even if you're in excruciating pain they don't care, as soon as you wake up they want you in a wheelchair and get out even if you ate groggy. Its affordable here compared to different states that's why most people travel here because the amount you spend will be a quarter of what's for example in the Bay area. But expect you are just a number here. People go in and out and that's it. If you have a problem or complication, you are on your own. Its hard to communicate to the staff even if you are dying or what. Emergency room or PCP will not help you if you have a complication as well. Dr Kaufman is 5/5 but the clinic staffs is 1/5. They recently increased their prices and it takes couple of months to get a schedule.

Overall, I would now rate my experience a 7/10…read more My initial experience left me feeling a bit frustrated. The clinic operates very quickly, and at times it can feel like you're just another number being moved through the process. For example, my surgery was scheduled for 1:15 PM, but I didn't go back until 8:35 PM, which felt extremely unorganized and unprofessional. Post-op care was another area that could be improved. I didn't see my surgeon again after the procedure, and the follow-up felt minimal. Since this wasn't my first surgery, I was comfortable navigating recovery on my own--but if this were my first experience, I could see how the lack of guidance would feel overwhelming and even a bit scary. I also wasn't impressed with the post-op massages. They are listed as 30-minute sessions but felt much shorter and rushed. In my opinion, they weren't worth the cost, and similar care could be done at home. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. Dr. Miller did a phenomenal job. My breast augmentation revision looks very natural and proportionate, which was exactly what I wanted. My Lipo 360 results also turned out really well, and I'm happy with my overall outcome. If you are looking for an affordable option, this clinic may work for you. However, if you value more personalized care, consistent follow-up, and a more attentive experience, that is something to consider before booking. Overall, while the experience itself had its downsides, the surgical results were strong--and that ultimately improved my rating.

I did mostly my transaction online by email since i was in NYC but to be honest the process was very smooth and stress free. I was being helped by patient coordinator Celeste which words can't express how appreciated i am of her. she is polite discrete and judge free professional pure awesome lets face it i sent her pictures of myself without a shirt judge free zone she was attentive made sure all my needs where met. The day i left for my surgery i was in contact with another fantastic person this time would be the OR Nurse and my God did she made me feel at ease when i Arrived I was probably nervous I can't lie but all my worries and concern if any where long gone when I met Belkis she was very attentive before and after surgery. I felt very comfortable with all the staff in the office down to even the receptionist they where always on top of me asking how i was after surgery. I am now 1 month and 7 days post op and I feel amazing i followed all of my Nurse advice and I feel no discomfort the obvious limitations of bending fully is still there but nothing i can't deal with I am already active in the Gym and full of confidence my procedure was well worth it and it was the best decision i could have made going forward i will recommend this place to anyone needing a procedure and its on a budget but does not want to sacrifice the quality of the work as well. ;-)

I was told it was normal and Ana continued to wrap me in the abdominal binder everyday tighter and tighter which wasn't the correct thing to do with an open wound. One point the nurse practitioner sees me and prescribed me a cream, the next day I told Ana and the medical assistant Niubi that the cream he prescribed cost to much and I didn't have the money at the time if they can call him and ask if there is anything else I can use. Niubi came back and said you need to use what he sent you. A week passes by I tell the nurse practitioner I couldn't afford the cream he looks at me and says "why didn't you tell them?" I said "but I did" he looks at Niubi and says "when that happens you need to call me and tell me because I would have given her the cream" THEY DIDNT EVEN CALL HIM AND TELL HIM I COULDN'T AFFORD IT. This continued on for about 1 month they finally decided to do a culture and send to the lab because now I was draining green pus with a horrible smell they started me on a antibiotic. I got a call 4 days after the culture that I had staphylococcus growing, I asked the medical assistant so what's the game plan with this draining and this smell and she said yeah we have to wait for another culture but the drainage and smell is normal. I went to the hospital that same night because I knew something was off. Everyone at the hospital was shocked; shocked to hear I never met the surgeon, shocked to hear they never did an ultrasound, shocked to hear how clinics like this are still able to be open. It's disgusting, they don't care about anyone. This is a literal chop shop. Once they get your money they are done with you. I also want to mention that the medical assistant Niubi went to a cheap nursing school and the board ended up taking her license from her bc the school wasn't accredited by the state of Florida, I know this because in conversation she told me yet she's the medical assistant at this wonderful clinic. She and everyone else there including Ana that after me defending myself and saying it ended up getting that bad because of her my last massage that I paid $400 for 5 massages was about 10 mins all because I had defending myself the day prior. All of them including who they call the nurse, a shorter man who also stated he is part manager are all so rude and unprofessional once you start defending yourself and realizing all the thing going on at this clinic. Point of the matter is, I never met this mystery surgeon, I've never seen him walk in that clinic. They didn't do an ultrasound to see where the drainage was coming from. I ended up with a $67,000 bill from the hospital because the hospital needed to fix a mistake they did not make. At the end of the day they got their money and I'm going to be left with a hideous scar because of them. I want to say the nurse practitioner of Dr. Amin was very nice and seemed genuine, I just don't think it's right to be using your nurse practitioner as the face of a surgeon. Please just pay the extra money and go somewhere else
