All of the fields are in great condition and they are easily accessible. The main walk in offers a view of some of the fields and the main clubhouse. The main clubhouse offers the standard concession stand, while boasting a 21 and older bar on the second floor. If you continue through the park, you will walk past the batting cages and a children's playground to keep the rug rats busy during your competitive game of corporate slow-pitch. At the end of the complex you come to another concession stand that sells food, drinks and beer, and has male and female bathrooms. The location is a little on the southern side, but it is worth the drive to enjoy a game of softball or baseball at clean and well kept complex.

The parks and rec department must do a great job with upkeep because everything seemed clean and well maintained. The paths within the park connect to the Indian Creek and Tomahawk trails. Many different trails, LOTS of open fields, 2 or 3 different play grounds for kids, a water park area with pools and slides, soccer fields and many soccer goals, 2 basketball courts, pickleball, tennis, you name it they probably have it. Extremely well taken care of and felt very safe walking around at dusk even on the trails with just my dog. The dog parks were HUGE, and everything was very clean and NEW. Just a beautiful area we were happy to have stumbled upon by accident. Great if you're roadtripping and need to get some exercise or wear out your kids and dog!

The park has a variety of play equipment, a huge sand area that even has toys that regular people probably have brought there and left. There is natural features for kids to explore, like rocks and stumps, and they also have a small handmade stream, but the time that I went, there was no water going through it. There is a baseball diamond and a walking trail around the park. There is also covered picnic area and an open picnic area and there are also even children picnic tables and some nice bathrooms. I would definitely go back because of all the natural features and the abundant shade.

The little track around it is better suited for walking vs running, in my opinion. It's not that big, and it can be a bit crowded on a nice spring day. They also have nice restrooms and a few water fountains, so this was a good turnaround spot for me when I was doing long distance runs. We purchased enough tokens so each boy could go 6 times. Halfway through 4 other kids showed up and cut in line. This interrupted their practice and was frustrating. If they had more machines that offered slow pitch and softball pitch this would ease the problem. Or they should post rules indicating a time limit in the event of a line, or so many tokens per client before you need to let someone else have a turn.

I'm happy to say, the field is in good shape and Loyola Park is a great place to watch a ballgame. If you're wanting an up close view, there's a small grandstand of bleachers directly behind home plate, in between the dugouts. I like sitting on the hill that begins behind home plate and flows down the line behind the first base dugout. Judging by my fellow fans, it's a pretty popular space. Feel free to bring your own fold out chair or blanket. You can see most of the field and you're also close enough to hear the infield chatter. A small concession stand is available. Bathrooms are located underneath the grand stands. The playing field is natural grass and dirt with mostly symmetrical outfield dimensions.

We laugh every time we go there when it's freezing cause we see all the rocks scattered on the top of the ice on the lake. I guess people try to toss rocks on the frozen lake to find out how big & how far they can toss the rock. Hahaha. I'm kinda tempted to try that the next time. They do have an area by the entrance of the parking lot where you can pile up real Christmas trees after the holidays. Not sure what they do with them afterwards, but it's cool that they have a drop off area. When we dropped off our 2.5' tree there was at least a 5' high & 15' wide pile. I was laughing cause our dinky lil tree was so manini (small) compared to the others that were about 6-8' tall. Aside from the trails & Christmas tree drop off, this is a perfect parking lot to learn to drive in snow... as I found out the hard way. Hehehe... nervous giggling. Never driven in snow before & it's waaay different that driving on rain soaked roads. Well, hope to get back to the beautiful park soon. A Hui Hou!!

You get to visit twice on the pogo pass, but each time you get 10 credits, each for 15 pitches. So you can hit the ball 150 times each time. For a newbie, I felt like that was a lot! Because there were a lot of kids participating today, we had about 20 minute wait times between turns (you can only use 2 credits at a time before rotating out). It would be way better when it's less busy. They do have bats and helmets to use. And just know: you have to clean up your own balls at the completion of your turn, and reload the pitching machines accordingly. Wasn't hard though! What a great option for a rainy or super hot day!
