Great indoor facility to practice softball and baseball. So glad it is now open to enjoy.

Walked out halfway through a group x workout today when the room hit 77°. Called that day to ensure an instructor would be leading to the class and it was confirmed. When I arrived, a different instructor was there, which was what I was trying to avoid. There are many much better gyms than this one. Hot as hell during summer and leaky ceilings during rain, no thanks. I'd rather go to a clean planet fitness.

Yelpers, this place is a best kept secret! I just did a…read morecycle class at 68s. I officially love this facility. The staff is awesome, the classes are diverse. There is literally a class for everyone! There is cardio equipment, a large weight room, many racquetball courts, a pool, indoor track, and basketball courts. They also have a smoothie bar / beverage station. I wish I lived closer, but because they are so awesome, it is not going to deter me getting a membership. They also offer swim lessons for all levels at discounted member rates. The class I attended today was taught by Corey. She was great, enthusiastic, and the class was perfect for me!!! In cycle, you adjust the tension to your fitness level. The instructor will encourage you to increase your resistance also. It will keep you from slacking! I strongly urge everyone to give this place a shot. It is so fun and I can't wait to start spending my boring winter evenings there! They also have a sauna and whirlpool, I have not seen/used these yet, so I can't comment. I read one review that said it "smells upstairs" but I did not experience that. Mary, at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating, I was thrilled she showed me around. Another bonus is free use of locks! You just check your keys in and they give you a lock to use. The womens locker room is newly renovated, and they also offer towel service. I'm still giving them 5 stars, though, as other yelpers have discussed, the cardio room/equipment could use some updates. However, the machines work and I haven't noticed anyone waiting around for anything. Besides, I go there for the classes and will be using the pool, and tend not to spend a lot of time in the cardio area. They offer free childcare and tons of other programs/leagues. They even offer golf swing lessons, and massage therapy!!! I think they have done significant updates since other people have reviewed this place, so if you're thinking of checking it out, do it. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I love this surprisingly good community resource in what is basically a smallish rural university…read moretown. (Full disclosure: I once taught a crafts workshop here, so I'm technically a contract employee of Warrensburg Parks & Rec, but haven't had an active connection with them for a few years.) The facility was built in the last decade, so everything is still relatively new & fresh-looking. They offer A LOT here: 1. Full-sized indoor competition pool, home of the Piranhas swim team 2. A big water slide! 3. A large indoor play-pool for the little ones 4. Senior center, with a full range of activities & a meal program 5. Party rooms to rent. Had a kid's birthday party here once, they were very helpful about set-up and all that. 6. Full-sized indoor basketball court 7. Indoor climate-controlled track (about 1/10 mi) 8. Large & well-equipped weight room with treadmills, ellipticals, etc. 9. An extensive calendar of fitness classes (aerobics to Zumba) 10. Lots of evening craft classes, workshops, adult-activity classes, etc. I once took a six-week ballroom dance class here & had a blast. Many of these things are free with your WCC ID; others are just a few bucks. Ask at the front desk. The track is free; weight room is $2 per use; pool is $3. You can also get monthly passes for most things. Cost of classes vary but everything I've looked at seems reasonable.

It's a great resource for our small community. The indoor and outdoor pools are great. The indoor…read morepool has a big slide and a small lazy river and play area for the toddlers and younger kids. It also has a large pool for lap swimming which they keep at a great warmer temperature. They have a family dressing room which is nice. The outdoor pool has a huge play area and beach entrance for the kids, plus a big pool and a nice lazy river. If I remember correctly it's $5 for the pool, but if you go in the evenings after 5, it's half price. They also have lots of activities for kids that we take advantage of such as kids night in, swim camp, all sports, Easter egg hunts, etc. The prices are extremely reasonable. The kids night in is the first Friday of the month and costs only $10 which includes pizza and swimming from 5:30-10:00, can't pay a babysitter for that amount plus they have so much more fun. The sports (3-6 age) run about $35 for the ones we've played: t-ball, basketball and soccer all which include a t-shirt. We also had a birthday party there which was a lot of fun. The rooms to rent was $19 an hour plus we had to pay the entrance fee to the pool for the kids (I think it was about $4 or $5 each). Overall, we love the community center and think it offers great programs for families.

You're better off not signing up and just walking in. 2. Brining guests is a complete hassle and you're charged a non refundable fee of $25 if life changes happen and you don't come with a guest that day. On several occasions I was denied guests even tho it was well before the required 24hour application to request them. On multiple occasions my requests were completely ignored and went unreported to even if they were placed 72hours in advance. I was frequently traveling to KC for work and sports only to be hassled when my wife visited from LA stating that I reached my cap for local guest passes (mind you, she lives in California full time and would visit me about once or twice a month for a weekend) 3. Steam room in women's bathroom is utterly disgusting and wasn't cleaned since I was there over a several month period, how'd I know? The dirt streaks and giant clump of hair that just remained of the floor for over 6months 4. Coming from Los Angeles and the Heimat gym where I pay $350/month, I was excited to try this gym... but this gym is clearly nothing but a wanna-be elite gym. The best part of this place is the flavored water in the women's locker room- And maybe the pools in the summer but good luck finding parking 5. Looking to bring up an issue with the staff and escalate it? Don't worry, they're happy to ignore you. Trust me, you're not gonna miss this place. Only thing it's memorable for is being complicated while trying to use its perks and over complicated. The 2 stars are for the water and the equipment. The cleaning staff is super nice tho!

However, it can get busy there and the hot tub chlorine does sting my eyes a bit. There is also a steam and dry sauna there (both men and women in there). Parking is also difficult to find close by with how many people go there now. The women's locker room was nice, but honestly I expected the showers to be nicer and more modern. We stopped by the cafe on the way out. I tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese had apples in it and had good flavor. However, the tomato soup just tasted like thick, sour, tomato paste. It was not creamy like typical tomato soup.
