They could be cleaner, but they're not gross by any means. I especially like the fact that free WiFi is available. Fields 5-12 could use some improvement. There is a pretty significant lip around the edge of the infields. That makes it tricky for outfielders to handle ground balls sometimes. Nice place overall.

All of the fields are in great condition and they are easily accessible. The main walk in offers a view of some of the fields and the main clubhouse. The main clubhouse offers the standard concession stand, while boasting a 21 and older bar on the second floor. If you continue through the park, you will walk past the batting cages and a children's playground to keep the rug rats busy during your competitive game of corporate slow-pitch. At the end of the complex you come to another concession stand that sells food, drinks and beer, and has male and female bathrooms. The location is a little on the southern side, but it is worth the drive to enjoy a game of softball or baseball at clean and well kept complex.

When I arrived, a different instructor was there, which was what I was trying to avoid. There are many much better gyms than this one. Hot as hell during summer and leaky ceilings during rain, no thanks. I'd rather go to a clean planet fitness.

There is literally a class for everyone! There is cardio equipment, a large weight room, many racquetball courts, a pool, indoor track, and basketball courts. They also have a smoothie bar / beverage station. I wish I lived closer, but because they are so awesome, it is not going to deter me getting a membership. They also offer swim lessons for all levels at discounted member rates. The class I attended today was taught by Corey. She was great, enthusiastic, and the class was perfect for me!!! In cycle, you adjust the tension to your fitness level. The instructor will encourage you to increase your resistance also. It will keep you from slacking! I strongly urge everyone to give this place a shot. It is so fun and I can't wait to start spending my boring winter evenings there! They also have a sauna and whirlpool, I have not seen/used these yet, so I can't comment. I read one review that said it "smells upstairs" but I did not experience that. Mary, at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating, I was thrilled she showed me around. Another bonus is free use of locks! You just check your keys in and they give you a lock to use. The womens locker room is newly renovated, and they also offer towel service. I'm still giving them 5 stars, though, as other yelpers have discussed, the cardio room/equipment could use some updates. However, the machines work and I haven't noticed anyone waiting around for anything. Besides, I go there for the classes and will be using the pool, and tend not to spend a lot of time in the cardio area. They offer free childcare and tons of other programs/leagues. They even offer golf swing lessons, and massage therapy!!! I think they have done significant updates since other people have reviewed this place, so if you're thinking of checking it out, do it. Took the boys to do a little batting practice on a cold day. There is only 1 slow pitch machine,…read morewhich is a pain when there are a bunch of people wanting to use the same machine. We purchased enough tokens so each boy could go 6 times. Halfway through 4 other kids showed up and cut in line. This interrupted their practice and was frustrating. If they had more machines that offered slow pitch and softball pitch this would ease the problem. Or they should post rules indicating a time limit in the event of a line, or so many tokens per client before you need to let someone else have a turn.

The restrooms inside were opened and the ones outside were not. It's only like $10 a game per person, 12 if you want two and you can buy up to 4 which I believe was $15. They give you tickets so you don't have to play them all at once. At the end of your course you can aim for 3 holes to try and win a BOGO game. Used to be a free game you could win. Sad it's BOGO now. So if you want something cheaper than the movies, World's of Fun/Oceans of Fun or even the Prehistoric putt putt golf further down 40 highway give this place a try. Oh, and if your hungry Texas Tom's is right across the way and a little up is Gates BBQ.

Whether it's the between-innings merriment, like kids' races or other creative games, or the sponsored placards adorning the outfield, no two minor-league ballfields are the same. Legends Field has that same unique elegance and has hosted minor league summer ball for the past two decades. Whether it was the bygones of T-Bones baseball or the current (re-)incarnation of the Kansas City Monarchs, having a summer tenant offers families and baseball lovers an evening entertainment option. Sure, this isn't 'big time' baseball, but they still play the game with bases spaced 90' apart, so maybe it's just the laundry the players are wearing that makes it different. Good seats are generally available and all of the stadium seating is seat-backs (no splintered benches). The patio & berm beyond left field allows for more of a picnic atmosphere or maybe even an expanse of grass where littles can play safely. Concessions are located on both sides of the concourse, featuring some local goodies, and if you just fancy an adult beverage, then there is even dedicated space just for that. A beer & a dog seem to make baseball even sweeter, IMO. The concourse is sprinkled with homage to some of the past Monarchs from Negro League days, such as Buck O'Neill and the lightning-fast Cool Papa Bell. Honestly, if you aren't familiar with Buck AND you live in the KC area, then life under that rock must be comfortable. These guys, like ol' Satchel Paige, were LEGENDS, and you can see why the place carries the moniker 'Legends Field'. Parking is easy and plentiful and if time allows, then the Legends shopping area offers lots of eating (and even shopping!) options. Tickets are easy to come by and affordable, making this a viable opportunity to share with family & friends. You might even have a shot at a foul ball or maybe even a moonshot that clears the fences (300' down the LF line is crazy, but so is 411' to left-center), so look sharp and stay in the action. Baseball is a summer pastime and this is great place to take part.
