We purchased enough tokens so each boy could go 6 times. Halfway through 4 other kids showed up and cut in line. This interrupted their practice and was frustrating. If they had more machines that offered slow pitch and softball pitch this would ease the problem. Or they should post rules indicating a time limit in the event of a line, or so many tokens per client before you need to let someone else have a turn.

I'm happy to say, the field is in good shape and Loyola Park is a great place to watch a ballgame. If you're wanting an up close view, there's a small grandstand of bleachers directly behind home plate, in between the dugouts. I like sitting on the hill that begins behind home plate and flows down the line behind the first base dugout. Judging by my fellow fans, it's a pretty popular space. Feel free to bring your own fold out chair or blanket. You can see most of the field and you're also close enough to hear the infield chatter. A small concession stand is available. Bathrooms are located underneath the grand stands. The playing field is natural grass and dirt with mostly symmetrical outfield dimensions.

There are a few swings, a small rock climbing boulder that wouldn't do much damage if a kid fell off, and a picnic area, where my friend and I sat in the shade while the kids played. There was a camp there also, and all the kids were sitting and listening to a police K9 demo. Not far away there's a water park/swimming pool. Overall, this is a great place for kids to come and wear themselves out! I really like it and it's so adorable!

It's pretty far south, so plan to drive even if you live in central JOCO like me - it's a solid 25 mins. It's convenient for me to visit when I'm out near my parent's new house though so that's a perk and has been what brings me here on occasion. A few years ago we also did soccer here and honestly I'd recommend doing soccer elsewhere. Parking is horrible and it's kind of a cluster. Overall the park itself is nice and fun to explore, but up to you on if it's worth the drive.

The new paved sidewalk around the park is a nice upgrade, and there are plenty of doggy bag stations and trash cans (just wish more people would use them). There's a retention pond that dogs love to splash in, though I've heard it may be removed soon. Bathrooms are decent, and there's a water fountain for both people and pets. I also like that there's a separate, fully paved area just for dogs under 25 lbs. Most of the owners I've met here have been friendly and attentive, which makes the park feel safe and welcoming. Overall, a solid spot that keeps getting better with each update.

POGO PASS REVIEW: I must admit, we don't frequent D-BAT, but…read morewe had fun since they added it to the pogo pass! You get to visit twice on the pogo pass, but each time you get 10 credits, each for 15 pitches. So you can hit the ball 150 times each time. For a newbie, I felt like that was a lot! Because there were a lot of kids participating today, we had about 20 minute wait times between turns (you can only use 2 credits at a time before rotating out). It would be way better when it's less busy. They do have bats and helmets to use. And just know: you have to clean up your own balls at the completion of your turn, and reload the pitching machines accordingly. Wasn't hard though! What a great option for a rainy or super hot day!
