I believe there was also sporting fields that I wasn't paying that close of attention to it since my primary reason for going was the playground. The playground had toddler all the way to older kids play equipment. It was all newer and well-maintained and soft under footing material. The two-year-old grandchild enjoyed it and my six-year-old grandchild also enjoyed it. There was a sitting area that had a cover over it for shade. Most of the play area is in the sun, but the day that we went it was often on cloudy and windy so it was tolerable. It was not busy for a summer day. But around 4 PM two summer camps showed up so everyone left because that would've been a lot of kids on the playground.

A little PSA: the walking trail goes right by a small fishing pond and we just paid $1,200 to pull a fishing hook out of our dog's intenstines. Be super careful with your animals near there. Below you'll see photos of the pond. Notice that the nearest trash can is actually in a picnic shelter up the hill. There really should be a place to dispose of fishing line near the sign postings so that this has a lower chance of dropping on the trail and letting animals eat it.

I had no idea that this indoor skatepark existed until I went to the annual Waldo Sip & Stroll. This spot is great for beginning or experienced skateboarders or roller skaters. They offer individual classes as well as group glasses. Don't have a skateboard? Not a problem! Goofball offers skateboards, helmets, and pads to borrow. You can also buy boards and accessories here! This is a wonderful indoor activity and spot to celebrate a birthday or party in the Kansas City area. There is a parking lot and the staff is wonderful! Make sure to check this spot out asap!

The kids can explore by climbing on rocks or tree stumps or playing in the dirt. There is a home that has acreage with horses backed up to the park that families can quietly watch. There is a sign asking that no one feed or touch the horses. The negative about the park is that it's mostly in sun besides the two covered areas. It was not busy at all with just a few older people walking on the paved walking path. I would say this park is better for kids that appreciate natural elements and playing in them or are older to climb the playset. There is also a splash pad for the summer.

The nicely maintained 9' wide trail meandered through a wooded area and past a city forest, which contained various nut trees. I noticed a play area for the kiddos, two benches, and several polite walkers and bicyclists. The noise from nearby Hwy 69 seemed very distant, with plenty of nature sounds. Although there was no dedicated parking area, parking was available along Indian Creek Parkway. Overall, very nice!
