With plenty of acreage at the northeast corner of Howell & Clark Ferguson, this is a safe and serviced greenspace just waiting to be explored. The 'soft' track encircles the park if you want to get some steps, and there are great ball fields just waiting for spring to come so they can be used frequently. Tennis courts are at the east end and the restroom facilities are found on both sides of the park. Enjoy NKC's public spaces! Open space is not exactly at a premium in JoCo, but organized, shared recreational areas are always a privilege. Two Trails has a great walking path encircling the park plus restroom facilities open in the warmer months. For the active, there are two tennis courts and SIX pickleball courts open on a first-come, first-served (ha!) basis. There are other spaces, both public and private, for pickleball in JoCo, but for outdoor play where you can almost always get on the court immediately, Two Trails is a winner. Safe space for littles with play equipment and soft landings plus seating for the grown-ups to watch over the playtime. Throw in shared facilities for the school district, such as ball fields, and Two Trails is one of Olathe's best spots to get outside.

It is fairly large park - 125 acres, and it's main feature seems to be a 10 acre stocked fishing lake. I enjoyed my tacos at a well maintained shelter house lakeside with functioning restrooms and running water. Plenty of geese and other nesting birds to watch. Modern children's playground equipment and woods for exploring. Unfortunately the tower at the 55th St. entrance has had the entrance welded shut and you can no longer climb to the top of the 60' tower. A nice urban park.
