They have a large fridge, many cabinets, multiple places to sit, and a little patio area with about 10-20 seats. They also serve food outside of the suites with a range of pizza, roasted vegetables, a variety of desserts, brauts, and coffee. A bar is also available. One downside is how expensive the food and merchandise is. I think the prices are crazy! Also the security wasn't super friendly when my bag was slightly over the size. Race day is still fun, though it's not like it used to be. Let's just say, if you don't take care of yourself like you should, age can catch up to you. Two things stood out during a recent visit: Concessions and staffing. Concessions are still available, but they haven't kept up with the times. They're the same frozen then fried options that have been there since the beginning, only without anybody to serve them. We stood in line for almost forty five minutes and found out most of our choice were sold out, and the race wasn't even half over. We thought about trying another stand, but half of them were closed and the lines were long. I hope the venue acknowledges and addresses its race day experience. When everything is running well, it's one of the best things in sports.

I can't believe I've lived in KC for so long, and I just found Wyandotte County Lake…read more This is a 12 minute drive from where we live in Parkville MO, so we can be paddling or hiking within 10 minutes from leaving our house. A few things to know: 1. Kayaking or Paddleboarding- you must have a permit (sticker) displayed on your craft. You purchase this at the marina office - and they are closed Tuesday/ Wednesday. It's $60- season. We hear they are strict about enforcing this. The launch spot is very close to the marina office- and is amazing. The launch point is zero entry and it has a parking lot- so you don't have to drag your craft very far. It's great! We kayaked on a Saturday and only saw a couple of boats. We love the calm quiet water and the beautiful nature experience. 2. Hiking- there are over 10 miles of hiking trails around the lake. They are maintained by Urban Trail Co- and their site is where they post trail closings (they are closed after big rains). The trails are pretty hilly-and we have been using them for Colorado Backpacking training. It's perfect! Bring bug spray- and I wouldn't recommend going alone since they are very isolated in the woods. There don't seem to be clearly marked trail heads- we parked at the spillway parking lot or the shelters seem to trail entry points as well. Go get outside! Enjoy! ‍

I'm happy to say, the field is in good shape and Loyola Park is a great place to watch a ballgame. If you're wanting an up close view, there's a small grandstand of bleachers directly behind home plate, in between the dugouts. I like sitting on the hill that begins behind home plate and flows down the line behind the first base dugout. Judging by my fellow fans, it's a pretty popular space. Feel free to bring your own fold out chair or blanket. You can see most of the field and you're also close enough to hear the infield chatter. A small concession stand is available. Bathrooms are located underneath the grand stands. The playing field is natural grass and dirt with mostly symmetrical outfield dimensions.

I was not aware that Olathe park had events like this.. and for free. There is a lovely 14 mile trail along this park that is perfect for walking and bike riding. The trail is well shaded and the pavement fairly smooth.

My husband and I brought our six-year-old granddaughter and two year-old grandson to play. I did not see a newer place set based on the address we went to. It was an older ship designed playset. A small playset and it was quite busy so it was crowded. The place that is for age 2 to 5. The nice thing about it is that it was completely shaded, so that was a positive. But the place that itself was older and dirty and needed to be cleaned or repainted. There was a walking park around the playset, but I never saw a newer playset like pictured in the main photo for the park. There is also a small softball field and some covered picnic tables.
