Anyways, I was able to get into seeing Dr. Amy Iddins within a few days. The scheduling was incredibly easy and direct. All of this was very important to me- I've had emergency eye surgery for a rare glaucoma and I don't take lightly who I see for my eyes! The office staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to see! The technology they've invested in is fantastic. The Dr. was excellent! She listened, gave great advise (saving me from future trauma even), and then went above and beyond to order me trial contact lenses- What I absolutely loved was not only that the service and care was wonderful, but I got those trials in exactly a week and all I needed to do was swing by and pick them up. I didn't want to go to urgent care so decided to just call my optometrist to see if I could get in today. I called at 614p on a holiday (observing for the 4th). He called me back at 617p. I did not at all anticipate hearing from him until today sometime. I was totally shocked! We talked about what was happening and he told me he could see me (HA! Pun intended) in the morning before his first patient. Bless his entire heart. Got everything squared away and was good to go before by 8a. He didn't even ask for my insurance info or charge for the quick visit. I've been seeing Dr. Hemingway for at least 5 years now and he is just so wonderful. This little story is just an example of how he places his patients first. He is just so kind, easy-going, and very thorough. He is the only optometrist in his practice. Obviously locally owned and operated! I can't say more wonderful things about Dr. Hemingway and Indy Eye. I highly recommend.
