Eddie came out to give us a quote and seemed friendly enough. That was about it. Every other word…read moreout of this persons mouth was an excuse as to why work was not being done. He said a part for my pool equipment needed to be serviced and replaced. When I told him that I had a home warranty that covered the equipment instead of letting him service the equipment directly, he became less than helpful. When I had the technician for my home warranty check the part, he said it needed lubricant, but I watched him service the part with my own eyes, and put the part back in one piece. Next thing I know, Eddie is complaining that the part is broken. At which point I told him that it had been serviced, and it was ready for him. He insisted that it was broken, and when I went out to verify, the part that I just saw placed back in the equipment was now broken in half. Please keep in mind that the only people to touch this equipment are the home warranty company, which placed it back in front of my eyes. I also had checked the equipment myself, and it was fine post repair. Then the person from this company comes out and now the part is differently SNAPPED IN HALF. I'm not sure if this was retaliation, or just improper handling, but I know that the home warranty company nor myself left that piece snapped in half. So, let's do the math. After which, I called the home warranty company BACK and they then replaced the NOW BROKEN backwash valve. In the meanwhile, I had paid Eddie to perform two filters cleans, one of which he hadn't completed, so I asked him for my money back for the time being as the service wasn't provided and I needed to make sure the funds were available in case needed for the repair. Then Eddie and his company GHOSTED ME. I have texted and called, left several messages, all trying to be kind and professional, none of which were returned. If you own a company, even if you don't want to provide service to a customer, at least handle your business properly and tell them just that. I don't want to provide service to you. Not hard, right? I mean, let's get mad because I didn't let you rip me off multiple times? I understand I have some issues that needed to be addressed. I have several dogs which I needed to dispose of my dogs waste, which was done when mentioned. However, how do you present yourself as a company, break the customers equipment, and then ghost on them? Watch out! Not very professional, and a little shady.

All their service technicians are very responsive and reliable. Geo did the first assessment. He answered all my questions and did a good job in the first pool cleaning. My regular technician is Erik, he also answered my questions and concerns. He is doing a great job in maintaining our pool. I would highly recommend their services. The monthly cost is reasonable.

I've had Poolgenx for about 1 1/2 yrs. It's hard now a days to get a pool service that is…read morereliable, knowledgeable n good with pets. Poolgenx has staffing issues, accounting issues n lacks in customer service. Their management team does not have the time to address issues or return a response to text messages. I have a very large pool that if not cleaned or treated properly will develop yellow algae. Because of Poolgenx staff issues their techs do not pay attention as they are brushing the walls of the pool to add additional chemicals if there is algae. Their rotation of personnel n lack of clients key control, have created a lot of issues. A recent tech never returned the key to my gate. It has taken PoolGenx over a month to provide a lock box for their lack of control. Currently my pool service is in limbo because the current tech does not know who will be assigned to my pool. As to accounting issues, I've had PoolGenx tell me that I was past due on my account about four times. They are set up on auto pay but even then PoolGenx argued that they never received payment. Thank goodness for B of A because they quickly called PoolGenx to confirm payment had been received n they had deposited the check. Finally, when hiring a pool service I have to make sure their staff are good with dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers n they are very friendly n loving. One pool service company tech used the pool pole that is used to brush the pool to hit one my dogs. I have cameras throughout my property so I can monitor everything, so when I saw that I immediately fired the company. The cameras also confirm how much time techs spent cleaning my pool and how much chemicals are used. It's a shame you cannot trust some service companies to provide the service you are paying for.
