Seriously? The previous owner of my house used Precision Windows to replace $1500 worth of windows as a result of my inspection, before I bought my house 6 months ago. One of the replacements failed. When I asked about the warranty the reply was: "If your name is not on the estimate the warranty is not transferrable". We installed windows with Precision Windows twice this year, and let me tell you--it's a journey! Before choosing this company, I did my homework. It was like preparing for a PhD in window science, reading more reviews than I can count, and getting several estimates to compare. It wasn't a decision we took lightly, and Precision Windows came out on top! If you're thinking about "investing" in new windows, buckle up because it's a bit of a process. Both times, they scheduled a person to come out, measure our windows, and give us an estimate. It's not cheap folks! This is why we decided to break up the job, several months apart, so we could afford it, and that was no problem for Precision Windows. Nice! Scheduling the installation, though, was like trying to align the stars. Keep in mind they also have a busy calendar (and have to factor in the weather). No doubt it took some teamwork to get everything lined up. The crew that showed up was fantastic! They called 30 minutes ahead before they arrived, they were respectful of our property, friendly, and they asked us to inspect each window to ensure we were happy before they left. YES, we had a couple of windows that cracked under pressure and needed replacing. Just so you know, this is 100% normal in the world of window installation. Precision Windows gave us the best estimate and didn't ask for a dime until the job was complete and we were satisfied. They're clear in the contract--payment only happens after you're happy with the work. Now, as an Elite Yelper, I'm a bit shocked by the negative reviews posted here. It's like people have found this one platform to dump on the company and be heard. I assure you this is a tiny percentage of opinions compared to their reviews on many other platforms (like Google) ... if you care to read the reputation they truly deserve. In short, I highly recommend getting a few estimates and paying attention to the customer service before signing any contract. But if you ask me, Precision Windows did an outstanding job. I hope my review encourages you to get an estimate from Precision Windows and not let the negative reviews on Yelp turn you away. Ok so I garden a lot, and some of my veggies I like to dehydrate. Even got myself a really cool dehydrator that cost me a couple hundred dollars. I typically do it on a counter but I got a kitty that had his food bowls under the area and cause I was doing peppers and well I set it maybe 1.5-2' from my windows and turned it on. About an hour or so later I hear what sounded like a gunshot. It was my window. Apparently the heat was just a bit much and too close and the temps outside were just dipping into the 30's and yeah - not a good combo. So there I was looking at one of my kitchen windows cracked and the temps continuously dropping. I have a small child in the house as well as an animal so I was more than nervous about this. I taped my window up with a thick weatherizing tape and started to ask neighbors who could fix this and fast. Someone suggested Precision Windows and I gave them a call. Within a couple days they were here and got the job done in no time. Very professional and kind and cost was $150 which for me felt more than fair for a double pane rush job during the peak of winter and holidays. The worst customer service! They came in like a whirlwind, rushing around. They left broken glass everywhere outside and pieces of plastic inside and out. They broke my sprinkler head and didn't say anything about it. After calling they gave me $100 to fix it. I had a couple of aluminum windows on a 12 year old house that would not close correctly. They could not be closed and have the lock latches engaged. Looking at the outside of the window frames the bottom of the window frame was bowed downward and the bottom of the casing was bowed upward - not just a bit - a lot. I was expecting a huge expense to have these window casings replaced. Just thinking of the trauma of this - windows open - mosquitos coming in - repainting was yet another thing to keep me awake at night. I called a trusted realtor and she recommended Precision Windows. I called with the problem and they said they could have someone out for an estimate the next day at 3:30pm. Jed arrived at exactly 3:30pm. He took his his shoes off at the door and I asked if he wanted to see the inside or outside first. He said let's look at the inside. I took him to one of the windows where the problem was. He looked at it for a second or so and slammed the window frame down and it closed perfectly. He said "nope, no problem with this one, this is just how they work". To get them to close just takes a bit of force. I understood completely - iffy window construction, facing the southern sun, there's going to be problems. Same thing with a second window. We went outside and I asked if this bowing, now much much less was ok - he said nothing to worry about. This is a company that could have chosen to charge me thousands to fix this problem showed me a simple fix for no charge. Update: This company is shameless to call people inflammatory while I am telling the truth and have all the emails communication in writing. They made mistakes but never apologize or admit fault. If you read all their replies on negative reviews, they, especially the owner, John wescott, just blame on the customers and repeatedly tell lies. They also charges 2% by using credit card to pay the bill. They won't even send you the link or site to pay by credit card but requires customers to call in to give them credit card information. So they want customers to give them credit card CVC on the phone? They have no sense of privacy and customer protection. All they care is your money. They kept asking us to Zelle them money instead. --------------------- My advice to customers is to look at Yelp reviews and all the 1 star Google reviews since those are real. Many businesses buy 5 stars review on google now. We have a hard time trying to get this company to do the right thing and give warranty. We had Precision Windows replaced 3 windows in 2020. Within 5 years, one of the windows has broken seal. I called them in July to replace it under warranty. We were told we have to pay $75 for labor. The original contract did not specify the labour fees on warranty. The technician on-site said it cost $150 to install the same window nowadays and that he replaced a lot with broken seal within 5 years. So, Precion is forcing customers to pay 50% of the cost to get the warranty and they can increase labour cost anytime. Normal window last at least 10 years, so customers are forced to keep paying into this hole. it's like a scam!! Customer service gave us a lot of runaround before finally coming out to replace the window. I told them to replace it on the week of 8/18. Everything is in email. But then got an email we were scheduled on 8/13. I emailed them and told them the house is not available on 8/13. How can they overlooked the emails in black and white? A customer service called Lisa rescheduled it to 8/20. But they won't tell you what time. I wrote in email to tell them days ago I am not available from 2:15-3:30pm on 8/20 and a few days later, got an email saying I was scheduled from 12:30-3:30pm!! Obviously, they don't read or they cannot comprehend numbers that they made mistake the 2nd time. They cannot even confirm the exact time within this window and so I was forced to reschedule as I cannot change my doctor appointment. Why would I change my doctor appointment while it's not my fault to mess up the schedule? Lisa then rescheduled to 9/2. It's right after the Labor Day holiday. I sent them email on 8/26 and asked them to make sure the technician would text me at least an hour in advance before the appointment on 9/2 and the replied "they are aware". It's today 9/2, I still have no email or text about what time these ppl are suppose to come. Then boom! I just got an email saying my appointment is 9/5! So chain of emails before they told me my appointment is 9/2 and they can just change it to 9/5 without agreement with the customer?!! It's obvious they don't want to give us the warranty. It's simple scheduling in email and they still can make many mistakes and denied scheduled appointments. Their customer service is incompetent and rude. Lisa has been rude on the phone and cannot even read email right. Extremely unprofessional company!! Day 1 discussing estimate I told the guy i did not want grids in the windows & that I wanted black vinyl on the single pane replacements...that did not make it to the work order; I mentioned that in an email and the owner/manager John Prescott? got all offended and threatened to cancel the order- childish They eventually came and installed the double pane glass replacements (with bronze grids) ; nice crew, though at 7 of the 9 locations they left and did not clean up several small and large shards of glass on the sills and floor inside the home.- Amateur They only brought enough glass on install day to replace 2 of 3 broken single panes; one was cut short with gaps, the other was damaged when they tried to cut it.....couple weeks later they returned to replace all 3 broken single panes...I provided the custom order black vinyl strips because they could not handle such a task....2 windows were done satisfactorily; 1 had a large chunk of the vinyl broken out and the gap filled with silicone and atrocious. I had to replace and repair that myself. $1400 & lack of concern for client satisfaction; unprofessional management; lack of detail and site cleanup; standard quality material. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. We ordered windows and were given a 4-6 week turn around which turned in to 7 months. They do not communicate with customers and have terrible customer service. After ordering the windows we waited about 6 weeks before we heard anything from the company. When we would call to ask about the status Cruz would tell us over and over again he would have to call the manufacturer and call us back. He never called...EVER! Office staff blow you off and don't provide ANY information. When the windows finally arrived, 2 windows were sized incorrect and no screens were provided. And guess what...you had to wait MONTHS to get more in stock and installed. Installation crews were nice, but the scheduling is TERRIBLE. Claim to be there at 8:30 a.m. and no call/no show. Reschedule after reschedule and then they finally show up at 5:30 p.m. to install windows in the dark. It was terrible! The overall professionalism of the company is terrible. We received a $200 discount. We felt this was not sufficient for the time it took to install the window, in addition to all the mistakes made along the way. They owner, whoever that is, refuses to call anyone! ANYONE! He sends tough guy e-mails and threatens to sue, issue liens and anything else he can bully customers in to. We paid our invoice to them, unwillingly. Because after all he doesn't care about customer service and was never going to return calls to address his company failures. The only thing we can do at this point is to leave reviews on every platform possible in the hope that no other customer has to deal with this garbage service. This is a company with very little integrity in their practice and a penchant for bullying. We scheduled an estimate for replacing most of our windows June 2023 with Jeff from Precision coming out to our home. Later that week after receiving the quote, my husband emailed that we'd like to go forward. Alternatively, about an hour later my husband called Jeff and told him we'd like to pause. My husband specifically asked if the required deposit was the green light for the production and execution of contract. Jeff clearly communicated that Precision would not move forward with window production until they had received the required deposit from us. Unfortunately, we did not demand this info in writing as we assumed the best in people. Since Jeff from Precision communicated they would not initiate window production without the required deposit, we intentionally did not email them again. Fast forward 5 weeks to July 2023 and we receive an email from Precision that our windows are ready for install and our full payment is due. We were surprised to receive this & ignored the communication as we thought it must have been sent in error since we had never sent the required deposit. Soon after, Jim Wescott (manager) emailed that we were contractually bound by our initial email and a lien would be placed on our home if we did not send payment in full. They persisted with this unlawful tactic and actually placed a lien on our home in late Sept. 2023 until we hired a lawyer who swiftly found their practice to be unlawful and sent a cease and desist letter on our behalf. Precision Windows quickly released the lien on our home, but we were out attorney fees, time, and much stress. I would recommend anyone considering their services steer clear & save yourself the headache. Reach out if you find yourself in similar situation & need lawyer. I will not be responding to any rebuttal by Precision as they have already shown they are not worth any more of our time or resources. read more

We have a BIG project ahead fixing all the poor workmanship for our simple window repair. 1. We have silicone or grease in several places on our brand-new carpet. 2. We have massive scratches on the window frames that will need to be repaired 3. We already cleaned up the chunks of putty on the window frames before taking photos 4. Even the silicone was very poorly done. Instead of simply taking the time to use a finger or something to smooth the bead out, our window now had big ugly droplets around all our repairs. The repair gentleman seemed to be in an incredible rush to do the repair. I ultimately suspect we will spend MORE than the cost of our bill to get all this fixed. It is very sad how much Precision Windows has fallen since we last used their services. I can get someone to repair the window edge scraping and very crappy silicone beads, but I am concerned we will need to replace our carpet. read more

I wouldn't' recommend this company at this point. It has taken 6 months to get our windows, we have 2 glass panes that are still not replaced though we contracted with them in September 2021. Have tried to reach them many, many times by phone and email, the project manager Cruz does not respond and they don't answer or return messages or emails. We have 4 damaged window sills, dry wall damage and one of our new windows is chipped up, there is more that went wrong but I want to wait and see if they make it right before I list it all. I will update if it gets resolved, but for now, I would say stay away from them. Update 4/7/22 they came out with the rest of our windows, but one glass piece was scratched and put in backwards and left like that. They have still failed to correct the mistakes and missing pieces of the first installation. No response when I call or email. Update 4/15/22 I have continued to email and call with no response. Felicia replied here and said they would be in touch, but 2 weeks have gone by and they still haven't called or replied. This is crazy. read more

I have had approximately 80% of my windows replaced by this company. 90% of those windows had to be replaced before their warranty was up. Almost each replacement came with additional charges. I have original windows that have lasted longer than the ones replaced by this establishment. After this last set of replacements though, i'm done. I had never written a negative review for anything, but this experience should be a warning to anyone who decides to deal with Precision Windows (that also claim to do construction and siding). I had a few estimates, and they had the most reasonable price, but saying that you get what you pay for , comes to mind frequently. The sales person-Joel was very non-pushy and I had a good feeling dealing with him. Do remember that the sales person is not the one who will be installing the windows. The crew of 2 people was 3 hours late and the only reason I knew is because I was the one reaching to get eta. When they arrived they had covered everything and no issues there. The lead installer at some point said he almost went home and cancelled the job, looking back, i wish he did go home, instead of delivering sloppy work. When the job was done, I was asked to talk to a "quality control" person on the speaker phone while the crew was still there. Awkward, but I was satisfied with the windows themselves the work round the windows was another story. I told the person on the phone that I will discuss the matters that concern me with the workers. The crowbar marks -2 on every window were filled with caulk, and it was not blending in with the natural line where the window meets the wall, those were very obvious gashes. When I told the installer, he said that it would require some touch up pain, but the touch up pain would not cover the gashes filled with caulk. I asked the installer if he at least should leave the job the way he found, he said that in the contract it states that it needs to be left in "good condition", I suppose we all have different standards for "good". Right after the windows were installed and they were cleaning up, I inspected the windows and found some black marks on them, so naturally I picked up the rag and tried to wipe it down. At one point (only once) I smeared the caulk and instantly got chastised by the installer. I found out later that he blamed all of the sloppy work on me wiping the windows down. I contacted the VP of customer relations Scott Novac for guidance on resolving this issue, he asked me to send him an email with pictures, and since he had my email and I did not , i asked him to send me a test email-he never did . A week later I called his office to speak to the secretary, who sent me the email and I forwarded her the pictures. Three business days later I sent a follow up email. To which the secretary replied that Scott talked to the installer -who blamed the sloppy work on my wiping and they can't do much about it. The touch ups will need to be done by me. I had never met a more cowardly way of dealing with the customer. If you ever come across this company, go with someone else, I know I will. read more

They could have simply provided customer service and resolved the lack of communication. I initially told them I needed an appointment after 2 pm. So they scheduled me for 8 am. I let them know that would not work so they moved my appointment twice but didn't tell me the date, I had to call them to find out the day. THEN they told me they can't tell me what time they will be there Monday until the night before. Are you kidding me? People have to work and need to plan for these things. How ridiculous. I would not recommend under any circumstance. This place is laughable. Even with the manager's edit, complete lack of professionalism SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. My cable company and other vendors would never treat a customer the way that Precision has. I would have been fine if Precision would have given me a 6 hour window today but they wouldn't give me any time for a Monday appointment until Sunday night. They were supposed to replace more than 20 windows in my house, of which 3 broke or went missing. They had to make two more trips to replace the remaining, due to similar issues. I was promised that those will be replaced free of charge due to the inconvenience, but there was a complete denial after the fact, and conversations were dishonest. Disappointed; just had my windows replaced; January 2020. I called to let them know one of my big slider windows got hit with something on the outside and is broke. Well I was told at the beginning of the contract that they would hold up to hail. Well I don't know what happened. I was also told it is life time warranty, now they said the glass is not included only the frame. This is going to cost me 435.00 to replace. They can afford to give you a one time break. Like other reviews, I would give 0 stars if it were an option. This company is a joke. They replaced a window for us and bragged about how great their installation is. The first time there was wind, the window howled like crazy. They came back out and the idiots had measured wrong and installed it anyway. Fast forward a year and the window fogged up. We called to have it replaced under warranty and they informed us there would be a $59 install fee even though it was covered by warranty. We already paid for a shotty install and feel it's completely ridiculous to pay again. We will never give them another dime! They assume you are window professionals so don't expect them to provide any expertise. No one took the time to explain to us our options regarding replacement windows and seals and the initial problem of a leaking window was still not resolved following their recommendation to replace all the window seals. I called Metroplex Windows and Glass to get their opinion on a window leak and they helped identify the exact location of the leak before recommending any window replacement. They also expressed their condolences for going with Precision in the first place, guess they have a reputation within the industry. read more

I did not have a good experience with the staff and owner. The office manager told me she would honor the prices from a previous quote, but I realized after the work was completed this was not the case. I should have been more thorough in examining the estimate as I assumed she would honor her word. I contacted the owner and he told me that she had no authority to make those kinds of decisions. I don't know why you would have your office manager answering calls, answering questions and taking orders if they don't know what the are doing. Not good customer service. read more

There was a little hiccup in my installation due to weather and the fact that They needed a special ladder to get to the 3rd floor of my townhome. Similar to another complaint, I asked for two windows to be replaced. They quoted me and I was happy with the price and scheduled the appointment so that I could be home for the install. They replaced two panes in one window. I had to pay again and take time off work for the second two panes in the second window. Looking back, I think they do that intentionally so you that you are getting a great deal and choose them. Then you find out it's not as great a deal as you believed it would be when they actually show up and play dumb. Who calls two panes of glass in one window frame, two windows? Precision Windows does, after the agreement is made and they show up with the window(s). This was less than two months ago. I found out Saturday or Sunday that the window sticks really badly, and my husband tried to get it back on track and even lubricated the frame. It still didn't open easily. Last night, my mother-in-law knocked on the window with the middle knuckle of her middle finger and the window broke, cracking from the middle all the way to the top and bottom, and leaving her knuckle bloody. I called last night and left a message. I had not received any call back by 10:38 today, so I called and spoke to Kelly. She was very defensive and said my mother in law must have knocked on the window really hard. REALLY? With the middle knuckle of her middle finger? I had no idea she had such herculean strength! Kelly then refused to replace the pane and wanted me to pay for it again.
