The entire office was very friendly and helpful. I requested an appointment online, and the office called to offer me an earlier availability. I went in for a standard new-patient eye exam with Dr. Fujii, and the entire process felt streamlined and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone in town looking for an optometrist. For parking, use the uncovered area in front of Genki Sushi or anywhere on that level for free parking, then walk over to the office, which is connected to the parking structure. read more

Once a years I go see Dr. Fujii for annual check up. Before enter, receptionist checked my temperature and asked me to register. Within 5 min, she asked me inside office to check my eye sight and glaucoma. A few minutes later, I was called to Dr. Fujii's office. He checked my eye sights and inside of my eyes, if any problems or not. He explained that the result of glaucoma test I took, with pictures, he told me I am very healthy. Now he checked my eye sights, he was very patient, to get correct eye sights. He prescribed my contact lens. He is very friendly, as well as his staffs. Office was very clean and organized. Highly recommended. I am thinking about getting color contact lens. I will call him very soon. read more

Dr Dirk Fujii has been my optometrist ever since I moved to Oahu. He was referred by my original optometrist from when I first started wearing eye glasses in elementary school. Super friendly, professional, and has one of those really engaging personalities. Now that I've gotten lasik surgery via Dr Jenkins, I'll regularly go in for checkups. He's located in the Ala Moana Building, so parking is easy when you park on the mall level. A while back I couldn't make an appointment a certain day of the week, so if you live on the leeward side, he does have a Kapolei office, just call ahead to find out what day of the week him and his staff are there. I'll never switch Doctors and I know he'll be around for a very long time. Best eye Dr on the island. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Abe for maybe 8 years now and he's a wonderful Optometrist. He's always friendly, helpful, and goes the extra mile to make sure my prescription and contacts are working perfectly and fit comfortably. The office staff is also friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience in my many years as a patron. read more

Dr Fujii is excellent. He explains everything during the exam. He is very personable and through I would recommend him to anyone.

First timer here as my original vision center couldn't fit me in for a Saturday until next month. I was on my last pair of contacts. I called Precision Vision to inquire if they are accepting new patients on a Tuesday & they were able to take me in as a new patient that Thursday. Even better they are 5 minutes away from my work. Located next to VCA Kapolei, same parking lot as Jack in the Box. I found their new patient forms on their website so I completed & brought it in with me. I didn't have to have my original vision center forward them any of my medical records as they would "start fresh". Greeted nicely when I walked in & was seen by Dr Fujii. After my exam I was helped with options on buying contacts & was on my way. Small office but very good service, I think I've found my new eye dr! read more

Sorry to be so boring but I read some reviews before going there and they were very good. I went with high expectations. They met my expectations and then some. Dr. Derrick is very knowledgeable and did not spare any time to explain and explore options to correct my vision. The staff is friendly but it doesn't stop there. I got very good advise and once again options regarding my glasses and how to minimize the out of pocket cost. This will become the only place I go for vision correction. Thank you, read more

I am a repeat client to Precision Vision and most recently had an eye exam and needed a new prescription for my glasses. I provided my own frame and the cost for the lens was $735 before my insurance co-pay, which seems high compared to other providers. I paid the difference between this $735 and my insurance co-pay, then recently received an additional bill for $62.83 for 'contact lens fit'. I had no contact lens so phoned the provider to discuss further and they said they would phone me back but did not. I then went directly to Precision Vision at 1441 Kapiolani Blvd, suite 805 and asked about the bill. They said that it was a mistake and I could disregard. Patient beware! read more

The staff and Dr. Dirk Fujii are outstanding. I recently had the most pleasant experience. I called and asked if I could get two glasses worked on. One the monofilament tore and the other I wanted to change the eye pads. They said just come in. I went on a Saturday and there were two staff members, I gave them both of my eyeglasses. I thought they would have said come back in one or two hours. They were so efficient, one worked on repairing and replacing the monofilament and the other changed both eye pads. Within 15 minutes, I got both of my eyeglasses back. Differently if you need to purchase eyeglasses, buy them from Precision Vision. You will have lifetime technicians to fix your broken eyeglasses and you can tell they enjoy working with their customers. read more

Dr. Abe and his staff always knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Tore my one contact lens the day after Christmas(Saturday). Did not have a spare. Called the office but it was closed. Had Dr Abe's number so left him a message. He called back with 1/2 an hour. He went to the office and got 2 lens to me within an hour. Such a caring person and doctor. He always provides professional and excellent service. read more

My daughter visited the Precision Vision for an eye exam. The exam was good, but she was double charged the fee by the "head-quarter"(?) on the mainland, and it was outrageously higher than Costco's. I don't know if this was because of a poor communication or by design to "enhance" their revenue. I hope it was not a dishonest business practice, but it was a hassle enough for us not to visit Precision Vision again in the future. read more

In all the years (10 to 15+) that I've been going to Dr. Abe for exams, I have never had a negative experience. The best staff and optometrist I have ever had. They are always smiling and just very inviting. Makes you feel comfortable and safe especially during a pandemic. Chairs are separated for social distancing, they have small bins to put frames in once you've tried them on, for sanitizing purposes. It's always a seamless visit and transaction. When I've ordered contacts, they make it quick and I get them in a timely manner. I highly recommend Dr. Fujii and his staff if you want amazing service with a friendly smile! read more

REALLY disappointed in the staff here. Dr is super, hence the 2nd star. But the staff that orders your prescriptions are incredibly awful. Today makes three weeks that I have been desperately waiting for my eyeglasses. When I ordered them, they said 1.5 weeks for it to be ready. I called 18 days later inquiring on the status only for the girl to tell me that they have my frames, but alas, the lab lost my lenses. They lost my lenses and you had no interest in calling me to inform me?! My current pair of glasses are broken, and I made them aware of my urgency to have the new pair ASAP. Mind you, 6 months ago when I went in for my initial contact lens exam, I waited 5 months for them to call me letting me know my trial pair arrived. I could have gone to Costco and would have had a new pair of glasses and a supply of contact lenses in less than a week. I didn't go to Costco since they already used my vision benefit so heck if I was going to pay out of pocket for another exam! In addition, they sent a claim to my insurance company for an order of imaginary contact lenses. I sat and waited while the staff member called to have it reversed. It's quite disappointing to see such wonderful doctors employ inefficient staff. Sorry to say, it's nice that they're super sweet and kind, but it pisses me off that they're incompetent. I'm currently still awaiting my lost pair of glasses.... read more

I have been going to Dr. Dirk Fujii since - well forever. There are a list of reasons why I will always come to this eye doctor. - Plenty of parking since he is at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. - He is very knowledgeable and does not recommend anything that he does not feel is needed - AKA he won't just do something for money! :) - His staff is friendly and they always treat you like family. - He can actually crack a joke - He makes sure he educates you on what is going on and lets you plan how you want to proceed rather than say this is what we are going to do..pau. - His office is now more electronic - you can send a review, set up an appointment and get reminders on line or via mobile - He and his staff are not afraid to improve and find new ways to bring the best to their customers without charging you an arm and a leg They can get very busy on Saturdays - so if you can try to go during the week - but if you don't mind waiting there are many Saturdays where they may do a trunk show with a particular vendor for great deals. You can't beat the location, service and price! read more

I absolutely LOVE Precision Vision! The staff and the Optometrists are friendly and helpful. I think this is the first doctor's office that I actually laugh for most of the time :) I'm very pleased with the contacts, Rx glasses and sunglasses that I purchase from there. I've been going to Derrick Abe, OD since my previous eye care provider relocated to the Bay Area, CA. My former student's mother is also one of his receptionists. Wooohoo still got my 20/20 vision! Dr. Fujii and his staff are helpful, kind, and awesome! The office is a bit small but they don't skip out on any details. From explaining the anatomy of the eye and the importance of a yearly visit, to answering my questions about my sight issues, to patiently helping me choose a pair of new glasses- they are just awesome! They take insurance and help figure out how much it covers for you if you need new glasses or lens. My new glasses came in within a week for me to pickup. ((Even though I have 20/20 vision I have an astigmatism, which I know now is when the eyeball isn't perfectly round so sometimes glasses could help me out like when I'm driving at night)) Now I know how important my eye health is and will be back here every year for my annual checkup. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr.Dirk Fuji'i. He has seen me in my darkest moments over the years, literally, helping cure such ailments as terrifying corneal ulcers and other "college age sleeping in contacts" optical nightmares. Although my personal circumstances were sometimes less than pleasant when walking into Precision Vision, the reception on their end was always warm, welcoming, and convenient. I have referred numerous friends and family members to Dr. Dirk, and they have all been highly satisfied with his professionalism and care. Huge mahalos Dr.Dirk for everything you have done for me and my high-maintenance makas over the years!!! read more

My experience is very similar to Heidi P. Dr. Fujii & staff are very accommodating and helpful. I miscalculated & and was going to run out of contacts; as usual, they gave me a few weeks! of lenses (not cheap). I only have positive experiences with this office. Clearly evidenced by how busy they are. Dr. Fujii will educate you on your eye health and remembers you year after year. Again, it's not just the Dr.'s, but the staff & are also so helpful and cheerful, it must be great to work for these guys. read more
