Disappointed and Discouraged by Care Denial…read more I wish my experience had been anything but disappointing. I scheduled an appointment seeking compassionate guidance for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). To my surprise--and dismay--Dr. Michael D. Kelly and his nurse practitioner denied me service without even reviewing my medical history. My last C-section was six years ago, yet instead of taking the time to listen, Dr. Kelly dismissed my request outright. As a patient, I expect at least a thoughtful conversation. Instead, I felt rushed, unheard, and judged--like I was being penalized for asserting what I believe to be a reasonable birth plan. The nurse practitioner's bedside manner only deepened my frustration; their off-putting demeanor made an already stressful moment feel untenable. At the very least, I hoped for professionalism and empathy. What I encountered felt the opposite. Seeking a respectful discussion about VBAC shouldn't result in denial of care--but here, it did. Disappointing indeed.

I couldn't find a doctor who would work her in that day, took medicare, and spoke vietnamese. I found Dr. Atat Salek, because my customers in the pharmacy always talked to highly of him. I gave him a try and I LOVED the experience. There was a language barrier but he made my grandma feel at home. She liked him so much she couldn't stop talking about him on the ride home. He even saw my grandmother on Christmas Eve because that was my only day off. He listens very carefully and his staff is a pleasure to work with. I liked him so much I just changed him to my PCP.

I've met hundreds of physicians throughout my career, and none have stood out as he has. He's beloved by his patients and the nurses who work alongside him. NO RECOMIENDO PARA NADA EDIT: the problem is not that you are late, it is the BAD ATTENTION OF YOUR RECEPTIONISTS. Even at the reception downstairs, we were already told that it was not the first time it happened. THANKS TO YOU I ENDED UP IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM WITH AN ANXIETY ATTACK and without obgyn with 21 weeks of pregnancy. Their faces should fall with shame
