I asked them to check the fluid in the differential and he told me they did. I was watching and the mechanic didn't pull a single wrench on the diff. So I decide to try again with another vehicle of mine today @ 2:30/2:45pm. I pulled in, he asked me was I there for. When I told him coolant flush he laughed and said not on a Saturday at 4: 0clock. IT was 2:30pm. He asked me to pop the hood. He made a statement someone been working on this vehicle. I told him it was me. He told me what was loose. I wasn't there for that and didn't ask him about it. He Bryan(owner) I think is his name. Proceeded to tell me how he couldn't do the job. He was rude about it. I told him close it up. He was still talking to me for some reason. At this point I wasn't going to expose myself to his attitude anymore. I guess when you own a successful business you can turn people away. I would like to mention I emailed prior to showing up. The fact that I did not get an email reply makes it worse. So your business model is laugh at a customer infront of people then tear appart how shitty of a job the vehicles owner did trying to repair it? This isn't the first time or second time the owners be short with me and my questions. I wont be back.

Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

I asked him the cost he told me $60 I told him I don't include that in my budget so I can come back next week. After I paid for my oil change then he proceeded to tell me he could've gotten me 20% off the filter, I told him well lets do it then, so then he tells he's already charged me & he can't add it to the bill. I found that odd but I went with it, told him I can come back next week. Then he tells me next week the filters are probably going to be full price. So what just happened there, I'm confused and unsatisfied customer.

They're for people who don't want to do the job themselves, don't have the tools necessary, or just want someone else to do it. Naturally, you pay for the service. And boy, did I pay. For me, this was an exceptional case. I brought to Grand Slam a high-mileage SUV that we had driven from the Land of Fruits and Nuts, a 2000 mile high-speed drive that included 1000 miles of desert. After all that, simply draining the oil, dumping in fresh oil, and replacing the filter wasn't enough: I needed the works. And they let me have it. The SUV runs much better now. On top of that: a free car wash and vacuum! The last guy cleaning the wheels, I made sure to give him a handshake and a smile for a job well done. Franchised oil change places are easy to find and of dubious quality. Grand Slam is not one of them. They do their work with care, and you'll like what you get. Stop on by.
