The next day we had a clear answer to the problem, cost for repairs and a strong recommendation on how to proceed. We ended up not having the repairs done as they were far more than the car was worth. Zac was honest, straightforward and incredibly helpful in our situation. Dave's Garage not only helped us figure out the best plan of action moving forward, they did not charge us for the diagnosis of the problem. They helped us figure out what to do with the vehicle and even helped us remove the license plates so the car could be donated. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and if I ever need car repairs near South Bend they would be the place I would go!

1/2 Took my 2017…read moreLincoln MKC in for a obvious transmission issue, hence the reason I took the car to a "transmission shop". (Jolts/Hesitation between shifts). The ignorant receptionist proceeds to tell me, there is a transmission issue. (Well No shit sherlock). She goes on to tell me they did the diagnostic test but they dont know what is causing it and would need to most likely do a rebuild on the tranny orrrr . . . we can drive it the way it is. So let me get this straight, you dont know whats wrong with it, but it needs rebuilt? They still wanted to charge me the $120 diagnostic fee to tell me what I already knew. They admitted they did a "reset" on my vehicle which is considered "unauthorized work" as I did not grant them permission to do so. It is NOT necessary to do a reset to run a diagnostic test. They knew they were wrong, after they tried to belittle my wife and I, I walked out paying nothing. They did not want to provide an itemized list of what their diog consisted of because the list would have said: checked tranny fluid and test drive. Horrible customer service. They say I was rude and used profanities. (I did) Well, thats what most people will do when you try to rob them of their hard earned money. Stay Away From These Nickle and Dime Con Artist !

Take your car somewhere else. Took my Silverado to replace glow plugs, but they want to charge $127…read morefor diagnosing the check engine light. I got that at advance auto parts free of charge. I did agree to pay them for diagnosis. Next day the " front guy" of this country. Called and said it's a sensor fault ,not the glow plugs. After replacing the sensor he called and told me to take my truck to the dealer to have it fixed. When I picked up my truck the engine was running rough and loud. Check engine still on, oil pressure gage not working, Def sensor not working , cooling fan running at high speed at 40 degrees temp. The engine was so lout you couldn't talk and hear each other next to the car. They were telling me is normal. I went to auto zone for a free diagnosing and other codes popped out. Like a Christmas tree. Went back to tell Gery, the front man. He basically told me to Go F.. my self. After I drove away, 2 miles later my engine end up in a " limp mode" . Had yo tow my truck to the dealer. They found out a bunch of fried circuits. It's been a week yet and they are still working on it. I've seen comments of being honest and knowledge. Forget about it. They are ripping you off with the diagnosis and were is the knowledge?
