On Dec 3, 2025, Precision Surveyors sent three employees onto a property I was selling in zip code 77063 to handle a survey. Those employees proceeded to act in an unprofessional manner, caught on several surveillance cameras. One employee walked around the property with what appeared to be a machete, slashing at plants and damaging them. This employee did extensive damage to a Sweet Almond Bush (difficult to get to this size in Houston - photos of the damage to be included with this review). In addition, my cameras picked up another associate in various states of undress in the front of the property exposed to the street (see screenshots). No explanation was given for any of this bizarre behavior. The name of the person on the finished survey is James P. Wolkoviak. Mike Reed of Precision Surveyors refused to confirm any of the names of the people involved in this action or any action taken against any of them. After an initial (apparently totally insincere) email "apology" Reed refused any further followup with me or my listing agent. Mike Reed and James P Wolkoviak violated their professional responsibilities and ethics, and will be reported to state licensing authorities. This firm committed willful destruction of my property while entrusted with professional duties on it, and should be sanctioned. Moreover, real estate professionals in Houston should shun these very bad actors and look to more reputable professionals for survey need. One bad egg makes everyone in the business associated with them look bad. My advice is to stay away from these horribly rotten eggs! read more

Awful Service. Spoke with Keith White regarding specific property line discrepancy I was having with a neighbor. Keith would not get back to me after leaving him several messages and emails. Eventually Keith responded however he stated he would have to look over the neighbors survey and my survey and he said he would give me a call. He never called me back and I have tried repeatedly and all my messages have fallen on deaf ears. DO NOT use this company. I do not know how they are still in business. Atrocious service mainly as Keith White is not a man of his word. Maybe the company should terminate Keith and hire someone that actually does what they say they are going to do!!! Absolutely terrible company. I don't know how they're still in business honestly. I utilized them for a survey and they missed a massive utility line running underneath my property. It was available in the GIS maps for the city. I requested that they denote the presence of utility line on my survey and I was told they'd be in touch. That was 3 weeks ago and ever since the VP Keith has been blowing me off. read more

Really bad customer service. They do not desrve a 1, but that is the lowest I can give them. If I were you I would get a different survey company and avoid the hassle. I have been dealing with Tommie since June for my refund check. Keeps telling me accounting will get back to him. Found out there is no accounting department, the accounting is done by the owner and you can not talk to him. The only communication through him is by email, but he does not reply to emails. I keep on getting the run around. I am just trying to get my $500 back that they got paid twice on an invoice. Seems like the owner does not care about his customers. So frustrated when you can not get any answers. read more

They missed a 25 foot encroachment of a mobile home and did not show it on the survey when I bought!!! How do you miss that as a professional surveyor??. Now I am stuck with a piece of property I cannot do anything with and Joe and the owner have been zero help and have only played games and lied to me for over a year. DO NOT USE! read more

They can't do anything correct! I had to get title company to call K. White to send survey because he won't return my calls or emails. The office keeps telling me he's out to lunch, sick or busy. it's been 4 month. they came out 3 times and still haven't sent or talk to me! I would find someone else to do a survey. we are going to end up in court do to Precision screw up so bad cost me around $15,000 and placing house in wrong area. read more

I utilized this company for a survey about 3 months ago. I purchased another property and contacted them about having another property surveyed. I was shocked at the response.....you aren't big enough for us to justify doing a survey. They actually said I had to have 50 plus surveys per month to qualify for having a survey done. I would NOT recommend dealing with these people. As a repeat customer, I've never been told we don't want your business. When this market turns around, which it will, I will remember these guys. The short review: expensive and poor customer service. A friend recommended Precision for the 1st survey when I was building a house. They came out and did a good job. But when it came time for the 2nd survey, I could not get through to anyone. So I called other surveyors and was told I should stick with Precision. Since they had the baseline survey, they would be cheaper. When I finally spoke with someone, their cost was more than double what a new company was going to charge me. We needed to have the corners of our property surveyed to ensure that we had a fence built at the right location. We searched on Yelp to find a surveyor and checked out the websites of the surveyors who received strong reviews. We reached out to 3-4 surveying companies to request bids. Precision Surveyors' bid was 1/3 the cost of one other surveyor and 1/4 the cost of another, so the call to go with them was easy to make. Once we hired Precision Surveyors, the company sent someone out to survey the property on our schedule, and the entire team was responsive, quick, and professional. At the end of the process, we had corners of each of our lots flagged; an emailed version of the survey; and a mailed large a color original and quite a few black-and-white copies. read more

I ordered a survey on 4/4, and it was promised by 4/10. All communications were in writing. After hearing nothing, I wrote again this morning. No response. I called after lunch. Learned that the survey had never been ordered. Awful service. read more

My experience with this company was horrible. I will never use them again. I've worked with multiple surveyors on hundreds of projects and this is by far my worst experience. They staked building corners on one of my projects. The front stakes were on the dirt pad the back stakes were on a grade difference of 5'. Rather than give me a call for something that was clearly wrong they just staked it and asked for payment. Oh yea its another $450 to restate it. I'll never use them again. read more

Laura--- Precision's prices are are about the same as other surveyor in town. I would rather pay more for an accurate than inaccurate survey like my neighbor's had from H & M Surveyors. Keith's survey helped me not only uncover but win a boundary line dispute case with my neighbors. The Judge not only ruled in my favor and ordered my neighbors to remove their fence off my property but he just awarded my damages which were extensive. I had my neighbors survey from H & M analyzed and found it contained a code violation. My neighbors used the survey when they purchased their property. Keith White with Precision found there was a misplaced monument on the block and if a surveyor used the monument to measure it would shift the boundary lines almost 5.5ft north and cause a boundary line dispute. The owner with H & M would never amend his survey even though I had 3 surveys that disagreed with his. My advice is to pay for a good surveyor and you will not be sorry. My neighbors property is an encroachment mess. They bought a house with another property owners house and fence sitting on their property taking 6.5ft/650 sq ft of his 5500 sq ft lot. Had he used Precision he would have known there was an issue and not lost in a court of law and still have an encroachment which reduces the value of his property. read more

We needed a home survey done quickly for a refinancing closing. I asked for a proposal and had it within 24 hours. After speaking with Brett White the first time to get some questions answered, all our communication was by email, which was great for me. We exchanged emails half a dozen times more, and each time I had a reply within 30 minutes. He was extremely helpful. From my first contact to the arrival of the crew was about 3 days. The people were courteous, business-like and efficient. We had unexpected extra fencing and structures that slowed them down a bit, but they still finished in about 2.5 hours. They came on Monday and we had our survey in hand on Friday. One small confusion. The company is normally b2b so they kept wanting our title company to furnish them the Title Commitment. We finally obtained it from our bank, and then it was smooth sailing. The cost was comparable to other companies, but I believe the service was excellent. Exceeded our expectations. read more

After complaining by email, I was contacted by the VP, Keith, who was very helpful and was able to improve my flood zone level. I am still below by less than a foot, but he did the best he could and spent time explaining where his data came from. I feel much more confident in Precision's concern for their clients after my latest experience. read more

We needed a new survey when we refinanced our home. The bank was happy enough with this survey, I guess, as we got our refinance. But now that I'm doing some re-landscaping, I'm looking at the survey and I realize it has some major errors, consequently I can't trust anything on it. (it shows our driveway suddenly changing width at one point, which it doesn't, and it shows a brick wall being thin in one section, and four times as wide in another, which it doesn't.) read more
