Generally , the only time that happens is when there's a connection with the ground wire that is not properly installed or covered. So I turned off the power to the garage and started to remove the box. Water started coming out of the bottom of the box , which I realized at that time , they hadn't sealed the box properly. I couldn't find the receipt as to who did the work to call to come back and fix it.So I didn't want to touch any further and called a different electrical contractor. They came out and removed the box, which was severely rusted on the bottom.Actually, arc, on where the plug would go into the socket.And you couldn't even get one of the screws out because it was so badly rusted. I had to pay another almost five hundred dollars to have the box replaced again. That contractor told me, had it been done correctly.I wouldn't have had to change it for years.However, I also could have lost everything. My garage, everything in it.I have a swimming pool for what are caught my cars? My house and possibly even my life. I continued to search for the rreceopt nd finally found it. It was Royak oak , hitting and cooling , and cost me $429. So I contacted them. After several attempts speaking with rob and then the general manager Nick , I also sent them photographs and said I have the parts they said they would get back to me. Today Rob called to inform me that there's nothing they can do to help me that anything could've hit that box like a lawn mower, which is I'm because it's like 3 feet up off the ground.So I don't know how that would be possible or anything could have happened. I told him there was a garden in front of it , and he said if I were called down , they would have done the replacement for free , but there was nothing they could do about it now. Well, I don't know about anyone else, but would you want the company who almost burnt your property down to come back and redo it?? I literally found this company from ad sent to my house in those value packs with coupons and this was the second business i called due to service call being so expensive and Hoover offered a coupon. (YES PLEASE) Let me just say - they were more worried about my plumbing then i was. Lol! I was very cautious of not saying it was an EMERGENCY because you know other business like to charge extra but initally when i called it was a leak pin hole leak on my pipes. The female on the phone (I don't remember her name) was trying to offer me a date which she had to move something around but i didn't want her to do anything extra since it wasn't bad (AT THAT TIME). We booked after a few hours, then my plumbing escalated - of course i called back and she was happy to fit me in. Please note their scheduling are just like cabling hours they'll give you a large window but they will be there!!! After getting a quote which John the technician who answered all my questions and we even joked a little due to the situation - I felt like I was made a priority. He came out on Friday and was able to get the work done on Monday - the two guys (Rhyan/Dustin) working on it was awesome. They didn't mine when i asked to take pictures because the worked looked so great and they were reporting everything especially if they needed to leave to run to the hardware store. I was happy with pricing and also they have a membership which will give you a discount along with other benefits which covers future services calls as well. Get it!!! They send you a FULL REPORT with pictures of the finish job and not just one - everything area. Will i be using them in the future?! YES and i'm a VIP member. Lol! Happy plumbing!!!

Hoover said they could come out within 30 minutes and it would only be $89. They made it sound like at the very least scoping would be included with that charge, so sure why not. I was even told by an earlier technician that "the guy with the scope was coming." The guy that came not only didn't use a scope, but he barely glanced at the pipe with my root issue. He then went out to his truck to smoke and take calls for 10 minutes. Eventually I had to go out in the rain and get his attention since I was still working. I was quoted over $2000, well over $1,000 more than what any other company quoted me. Once I mentioned the other quotes, the price magically came down a few hundred. I was then given a brochure for their subscription plan. It all felt very predatory, similar to what you might experience at a car dealership. I'm sure they do decent work and they like to tout their many positive Google reviews stating as much. If you actually read through them you'll see a theme: many people despite being happy with the work think they paid too much and they're probably right. They'll get the job done, but you'll pay more than you should. If you look at their recent Yelp reviews, they are more in line with what I experienced. I had another company, Bison Plumbing, come out. They similarly have a large number of reviews, but you'll notice the theme with a lot of their reviews is "great pricing." They looked at my issue and told me snaking or jetting wouldn't do much. They said that small roots coming in from drainage tiles are inevitable and not to lose sleep over it. Finally they didn't even charge me for coming out (and didn't offer any subscriptions). One final issue was that their technician entered my house wearing Meta Rayban video recording glasses. If you're a service technician entering people's homes with those glasses, you need to at least be upfront about it. I didn't notice until the visit was over, but it was impossible to tell if he was recording the whole time. In the end, I'm glad I only lost $89 on the service call because it could have been much more. Do yourself a favor and don't settle on this company. Not every plumbing company charges a premium for good work or will try to charge you for services you don't really need. +1 star for wearing booties in my home without me needing to ask +1 star for the nice lady on the phone and Aubrey Long who was a cool dude -3 stars for all my other issues

The city of Troy tasked my home with a Backflow Testing request. This company was listed on the back of the form that I needed filled out. I called BBP up and spoke with Martha about what the heck this task was that I needed to have done! She explained the entire process of what someone would be coming out to do. Within the week we had someone come out to do the backflow testing. When Tom arrived, he explained that he had been in the business for a long time and made me feel comfortable that he knew what he was doing. I asked to stay outside with him as I was curious as to what he was going to do, and he agreed to allow me to watch. It was $100 for the testing and $20 to come in the house and show me where the valve was to turn off, which was fine because like I said, I had no idea what was going on really. The equipment he was testing failed initially, probably due to it not being used in over a decade. He took most of the system apart, cleaned it (it was clogged with dirt), then put it all back together, retested, and the system passed. Very professional and got the ridiculous job done that the city (which I found out was also the state of Michigan), was asking. Just wish Troy would reimburse me!
