The service manager then calls me (good) but I cannot make their time work. So as the customer, I (we) have no recourse but to use someone else. I need better communication and a strong commitment to service. I will NEVER use Nelson Brothers because of this experience because it's my only recourse. I explained to him that my unit occasionally turns off and then back on in very short intervals. He wasn't able to offer any thoughts as to why that might be happening other than my unit is old. Fast forward 2 weeks. Today, I had a different company come out. Within 30 seconds of him taking off the same exact shield on the back of my A/C unit, he saw a frayed wire. Within 5 minutes he had replaced the wire and the problem was solved. One would think that the kid from Comfort Zone would have noticed it. The guy who was here today showed me the wire, it was RIGHT in front of exactly where the Comfort Zone kid hooked up the same diagnostic tools. If I'm paying to have my unit inspected, I'd think a company is actually INSPECTING the unit. I'm tempted to report this to the BBB. What a complete and utter rip off!!!

When I called to report it, they blamed wear and tear and demanded seven hundred fifty dollars to fix it. Here's the contradiction: if wear and tear caused the damage, why did the plumber miss it during his inspection and declare everything working? They either caused the problem or failed to catch it, yet they refuse responsibility and expect me to pay. I fixed it myself out of pocket. Don't trust their inspections or their excuses -- they'll damage your home and charge you to fix it.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ROYAL OAK HEATING ELECTRICAL & COOLING since they do not stand behind their work nor do they communicate effectively with their customers. I was very cautious of not saying it was an EMERGENCY because you know other business like to charge extra but initally when i called it was a leak pin hole leak on my pipes. The female on the phone (I don't remember her name) was trying to offer me a date which she had to move something around but i didn't want her to do anything extra since it wasn't bad (AT THAT TIME). We booked after a few hours, then my plumbing escalated - of course i called back and she was happy to fit me in. Please note their scheduling are just like cabling hours they'll give you a large window but they will be there!!! After getting a quote which John the technician who answered all my questions and we even joked a little due to the situation - I felt like I was made a priority. He came out on Friday and was able to get the work done on Monday - the two guys (Rhyan/Dustin) working on it was awesome. They didn't mine when i asked to take pictures because the worked looked so great and they were reporting everything especially if they needed to leave to run to the hardware store. I was happy with pricing and also they have a membership which will give you a discount along with other benefits which covers future services calls as well. Get it!!!
