After moving forward, we discovered issues that I believe should have been identified or at least brought to our attention during a thorough home inspection. The garage door was not properly functioning and required servicing, and there was visible popcorn/acoustic material in the furnace closet that was later tested and found to contain asbestos, requiring professional abatement. Both of these conditions were readily visible. While I understand that a home inspector cannot diagnose every problem or determine whether a material contains asbestos without laboratory testing, I would have expected these findings to be documented and appropriate further evaluation recommended. Because these issues were not identified, we are now facing thousands of dollars in unexpected expenses. Based on our experience, I would not use this inspector again or recommend him to others.

Very well, here is my update to the review: First, what are you talking about the seller is entitled to the report? The inspection company has no legal grounds to share anything from the report with the seller, since the buyer paid for it. Now we know your company improperly trains all its inspectors, since you do not understand California law around inspection reports. Second, your formal response to my feedback reflects the overall attitude from the inspector as well: dismissive, arrogant, reckless. It is becoming more apparent that simple SEO and branding are your business model, not listening to the voice of the customer--everyday Americans trying to get by. Finally, I sincerely hope you address this matter and improve employee training. Yes, you have thousands of reviews, but how many of those will be earned going forward as your quality continues to decline?
