Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Robby Gonzales based on our experience. He was professional and…read morecourteous during the inspection, but the inspection itself was completed in only about 45 minutes, and we were left with the impression that there were no significant concerns with the property. After moving forward, we discovered issues that I believe should have been identified or at least brought to our attention during a thorough home inspection. The garage door was not properly functioning and required servicing, and there was visible popcorn/acoustic material in the furnace closet that was later tested and found to contain asbestos, requiring professional abatement. Both of these conditions were readily visible. While I understand that a home inspector cannot diagnose every problem or determine whether a material contains asbestos without laboratory testing, I would have expected these findings to be documented and appropriate further evaluation recommended. Because these issues were not identified, we are now facing thousands of dollars in unexpected expenses. Based on our experience, I would not use this inspector again or recommend him to others.
