Just have to update... Shortly before Christmas I received a phone call from the owner Robert. Said he would come in a few days to clean out our yard. Honestly wasn't expecting much. Asked him to call me the night before to confirm. He did just that. Showed up the next morning with three of his workers and cleaned out our yard in one day. Second day consisted of tilling our yard deep. Roughly two feet down. To get rid of all those deep roots that had taken over our yard from a neighbors old tree. Then marking out where everything was going. Roughly 18 bushes around the edge. With very nice pavers matching our existing slates that were out back. That would take a good part of our yard. Third day was a bit of a mess with severe rain in our area. But most of the pavers were luckily put in place. Last day everything was completely finished. Precision Landscaping was the third place we contacted for our yard. And turned out to be the most reasonably priced of all. So glad they came back to finish the job. Our yard now looks great. Robert is lier and a crook. My neighbor had his whole yard landscaped by Precision. He never backfilled the fence on my neighbors side. After a rainrain storm the top soil bent 2 of my fence panels. He said he would take care of it. It's been 3 months and nothing. Doesn't return phone calls. Do not use Precision Lanscaping of Wayne. Rob has screwed lots of customers over the years. They did a great job planting new bushes, and replanting other plants. They did mulching with quality mulch as well. They also did a great job on cementing where it was hazardous. Put in gravel and fixed our outside pipes so that our rain runoff works. We are very satisfied! read more

Poor workmanship and responsibility to repair work completed in March, 2024. Rob took the $4300 in cash to rescreen and paint my foundation. They have made no attempt to repair after many phone calls and emails. I have had other masons here and they said it was due to how the paint was applied and dried. You most likely have a long wait with them leading you to believe it will soon, you will never get a direct answer but instead a lot of excuses. They need to be more open and stop giving excuses. Precision Landscaping is the most disreputable company I ever deal with . I paid ROBERT Vankerschaver the owner over $25,000.00 dollars to stucco my building in Cedar Grove , New Jersey where it began to fall off the building . When I told him he said over many many times he would fix it and never did . He claimed he hired a sub contractor to Do the job and I found out the sub contractor was only paid $ 6,000.00 Dollars and refused to do any more work for Precision Landscaping . It's been almost two years and I had to hire a company to remove the stucco he put on the back of the building as it was falling into the parking lot of the building. I was forced to hire a attorney to sue both Precision Landscaping and Robert Vankerschaver personally which is still in court . He did more damage than just taking my money and not doing the job , other reputable contractors say he had no idea of how to stucco and that's for sure . The owner, ROBERT returned and said that they would treat them and continue to treat them every year. Two years later, still promises, no treatments. We have been using Rob and the Precision team for 10 years. His work is impeccable and he has a team of good people with great skill. My backyard is an oasis thanks to him and his team, and he has even done gorgeous stone work inside my house. He has put two paver patios in two homes for us, a built in outdoor kitchen, interior fireplace stone work, piers for our gates and a waterfall feature. In addition to hardscapes, he has done landscape design and plantings, as well as landscape lighting in both homes and cuts our lawn. There are a few things that set him apart for us. For one, his prices are very reasonable. We always do our due diligence in pricing out work, and his are extremely fair. He also has an excellent sense of design and aesthetics. I am very picky, and I've been thrilled with his sense of design and taste. Over the years, I've learned that this is not common. You will often get someone who can execute a plan, but isn't skilled in the design and ensuring the final look will be top notch. Lastly, he is a person of character. There will often be snags or challenges with ANY project. The team of people he has are respectful, trustworthy, well-mannered hard workers with great attention to detail. Unprofessional and unreliable. Contract was signed, and deposit paid in the beginning of April. I asked Robert to finish job in April, May the latest, and he agreed. After many phone calls to them to find out when he would be doing the work and after getting many promises and excuses, nothing was done for 2 months. Finally, in June we decided to cancel the contract, and Robert agreed. It took another month of many phone calls for them to refund the deposit, but without $150. He decided to charge us $150 for job he did not do. All he did was giving empty promises: Well start this week...;;ll call you back today...Ill send a check Thursday...I sent a check this morning... and many more lies. read more

Avoid Precision Ldsc at all costs. I had pavers installed around my pool in 2015, the following year the pavers became uneven and the bullnosing began to come loose and drop. He did not follow my design and when I came home and tried to tell his workers, they could not understand me because they did not speak English. He showed up later after many attempts to try and get him there and he began arguing with me that he did follow my design, that is until he looked up my design and realized his worker's mistake and he simply said the new plan is just fine. I requested the sealer that prevented weeds, instead he used sand. So many problems, he actually screams and argues with you and never apologizes even after he discovers his workers did indeed make a mistake. I should have had it redone the correct way, the following year but I hated to throw all that money away. The bull-nosing has become a danger. Because of the dropping of the pavers and lack of proper coping, they come up when you step on them and replacing them cant wait. The company that came to give me an estimate informed me that Precision never installed the bull-nosing correctly, there is no concrete coping around the pool to support the bull-nose pavers. The horrible job he did was so bad that most the pavers dropped about 2 inches, some more, and since he only placed the bull-nosing on top of the shitty base they all have to be replaced. He screamed at me, screamed at my 80 year old aunt, all for telling him that his workers did not do what they were suppose to, unless you like throwing your money away I suggest you never ever use Precision Landscaping. read more

I want you to trust me 100% on this review. Precision Landscaping of Wayne, NJ is the Worst contractor I've ever dealt with in my life. It all started in Summer 2011 when the owner wrote his estimate to add 4 new steps to our house. The 4 steps were promised to help my Mom with her ailing knee as the 3 we had were to steep for her to climb. Well, we agreed to his estimate and concern for our needs. The work was finished to only come home from work to see 3 new steps added to our House **Surprise** Not the 4 we agreed to. The owner said it was impossible to put 4 steps on our house. We were lied to and the owner can not and does not know how to write an estimate. The owner for picking the stone he recommended in the 1st place blamed us, the customer, for His mistakes. Our experience was horrible right from the start and is still haunting us to this day for hiring Precision Landscaping. The entire set of steps has been falling apart ever since it was built. Precision used play sand on the top level of our steps to hold in the paver stones which of course washed away. They had to come back and redo the entire top step and use the proper jointing sand to make it correct and safe. I would say anything they could do to save a buck was most likely tried for sure since the entire set of stairs eventually fell apart. (See Photo's). The top steps started to fall forward, the sides started to fall away from the steps. The only thing holding our steps together was the banister leaning on our front window frame; otherwise it would have been down sooner. Individual steps started falling off, one, which bruised my ankle, nice black and blue. I called and emailed the owners in Jan 2015 to tell them about the steps falling apart to the point it needed total repair. We waited for April, 2015 to reach out a 2nd time now after the snow has melted. Precision Finally decided to show up in the last week of July 2015 to fix the mess we had. They only finished part of the job of course, just about every stone was cracked that held our banisters in place and they needed to return again. The banisters were cut out and planned to repair the stones and replace by Friday the same week. 3 weeks later, Precision didn't even have the stones needed to fix our steps again. Precision sent a worker that did Not even know how to do the work, big Surprise. He ended up doing even More Damage to the steps. Now we had to wait for the owner to order a new lower base stone, which took tearing a huge part of the steps down to repair. Finally the day comes for our banisters to be put in, Finally. The poor metal worker almost falls because the steps were put in wrong and fell apart Again. Even the dumbest know glue calking will not stick to sand. Now, Guess what, they need to come back again and I'm not holding my breath it will be done correctly. I'm glad nobody was hurt on these stairs, especially my Mother who had complete knee replacement. Worst experience and headaches my Family ever had was hiring Precision Landscaping of Wayne NJ. Trust Me Please, You'll thank me for it. I still feel these steps are dangerous. Thanks for reading. Hire Elsewhere...Trust me. Sept 1st., a no show once again." Very disappointed. Robert is very nice, and called on us a lot last year trying to get our business. We signed the contract this spring. I had to reach out constantly trying to get a start date. Multiple start dates broken. When they wanted our business we were getting calls all the time and once we gave them our business, we couldn't get a call back. We finally had enough and cancelled the contract due to too many broken promises. Now we cannot get our deposit back. I guess our job was too small for them. We could not be happier with Our backyard makeover and the prescion landscaping crew! They were professional and consulted us along the way to get everything just right. We wanted a custom stone bench in the back and they really worked on the details to make it functional, unique and just so pretty. During our initial consultation Rob listened to OUR ideas and gave us advise on how to keep our costs affordable. We interviewed a few landscapers and found Rob to be personable, easy to work with and accommodating during our first meeting. It was great to see our vision of our backyard come to life and meet our expectations! As any homeowner knows these projects are not cheap but we think it's well invested money for our home. If this business could have zero rating -- would be better. Robert deserves minus 20 beyond zero. He would not know what that means. Not too sharp. He is the WORST landscaper alive. Do not trust anything he does. I paid a lot of money. Full payment made. Yes I feel like a sucker. Never had landscaping done before. I trusted this guy and after all said and done DEAD trees. He actually said he did not think I watered these dead trees. We had 5 days of rain and I have been watering these suckers daily. And brown and dead. This guy is a liar and a thief. He won't stand by his proposal and his moron employee broke my window during landscaping. The glass company could not process his card and he blames it on his employee. Really. It's your damn credit card. I waited weeks and finally I paid for it. I should sue this damn liar but frankly I don't want to see his ugly, lying face again. I hired Precision to correct drainage issues. Instead, they created an entirely new problem, left me with a lawn that is now the neighborhood eye sore, and installed drain openings in the middle of my lawn so that the runoff erodes half of the lawn. There is no grass at all around the drain openings regardless of the contract stating "all lawn areas will be hand raked and seeded to create a neat and clean look." The contract drafted to correct the issues was ignored and no one came to fix this problem as promised. I would NEVER use them again. In addition, they raised the price the day of the job, seldom returned phone calls after receiving payment in full, and rarely showed up when promised to fix numerous problems - they did come when trying to book the job of course. read more

I have a call out for Rob. I had written a review 1/20/17 and said I would review again. I have had medical issues, so this is the first I have thought of writing. Although I had been very pleased with Rob's previous jobs he had done for me, I am not now. I had Rob completely redo the lawn in my front and back yard. He sprayed and killed off the original lawn, brought in top soil to completely cover both areas and then seeded. I was having this work done in case I needed to sell my home in the future so that everything would be good. I would have been thrilled to have posted a picture of a beautiful grass yard, but that isn't what I have. Now maybe there was something wrong with the (black) top soil? he purchased in Riverdale, I don't know. However, my yard is a complete mess.
