Full Details: In our neighborhood, there's no shortage of landscape design companies with their trucks advertising in front of all the different houses. After seeing some of the amazing photos of CLC's work in magazines and social media and reading about their family owned and operated company, we reached out and met with CLC and instantly connected right away. They seemed much more attentive than other companies we contacted, listened to our ideas, gave great advice, and their vision aligned with ours. Our project included removing some trees, re-grading our yard, adding a small round blue stone patio/firepit, plantings and new sod. While our project may have been a smaller one, we were still treated the same and given the same attention and detail as a much larger project. The design phase of the project was invaluable as the created renderings really helped us envision what the end goal would look like. Next, when it was time to break ground, our initial project manager Alex went above and beyond, even taking time out on a Saturday to go stone shopping with us. When Alex had to attend to a family emergency, CLC quickly adjusted and sent us the dynamic duo of Gary and Pat who immediately stepped in, took ownership of the project, and made sure everything continued to run smoothly. Gary, in particular, was in constant communication with us, keeping us updated on project details and assuring us that everything would stay on track. He's a Zen master - when he says don't worry, we're going to fix this/do this instead/I have a better idea, you just feel confident about the end result. Our foreman, Enrique, also deserves an honorable mention as someone incredibly detail-oriented, who always wanted to do things the right way, no shortcuts. He treated our yard as if it was his own, constantly trying to make everything perfect. We appreciated even the little things he did - like staging plants/trees in the shade to protect them from the hot sun or even coming in on a weekend to water those plants. Everything he did demonstrated the attention, care, and pride in his work. Things would look good to us but not to Enrique's sharp eye, and he'd smile and go over it one more time just to be certain. Was our project 100% completely smooth? Of course not, no project is, but Pat/Gary/Enrique/Alex and the rest of the CLC team always adjusted, tackled issues, gave us advice, and figured out the best way to solve whatever problem was at hand, which left us feeling at ease. And, in the end, after the work was finished, everything was cleaned up, no debris left behind, Gary continued checking up on us, weeks later, to ensure our sod is growing properly. Last Spring we hired this company to renovate our front lawn. They came & did the work, but we…read morewere not pleased. Our front yard was torn up & not evened out after roto tilling, & there was still a huge amount of thatch left unraked. We called to have them come back. They said it looked good. We said that it did not, and asked them to redo the seeding. They did. When the grass started to come up, we were horrified to find that there were 2 different colors! I placed 2 or 3 phone calls to the company to say that we were very unhappy. Our calls were not returned. I spent all of last Fall re- raking and dethatching my lawn. It was an enormous amount of work, especially as I have a bad back, and am no longer young. When Spring came around this year again, I had to dethatch my lawn again because so much thatch had been left unraked by the company to begin with. I also had to reseed, to try to get the lawn all one color. We specifically told the company that we needed to have our lawn looking great, so that we might have the option of putting the house on the market within a couple of years. This company was highly recommended, so we are very put out and disappointed. We paid a lot of money for the work, & I ended up having to redo everything myself by hand. I am including pictures of the patchwork looking colors of the lawn, as well as the wheelbarrows full of thatch that I raked and hauled back into my woods. I would definitely not recommend this company.

My lawn was lush and green until September 23, 2026, when a Trugreen technician did an application…read moreand two days later I had brown streaks on the lawn showing the spray pattern of the Trugreen lawn chemicals. In the morning, I called their customer service number 833-418-5004 and spoke with someone (who had a foreign accent and difficult to understand), and he said he would get someone right out to look at it. No one showed up. On Monday morning, September 28th I drove to address of the local Trugreen office 12220 S 10th Ave, Pasco WA 99301 and found a warehouse with no one in it and all the doors locked. I looked through the window and saw no furniture and the lights out. There was a listing of phone numbers posted behind the window. I called the first one, Regional Director Joel McKay 708-359-5210 and left a message. He never responded. Next, I called the Regional Technical Manager, Joe Krum 770-318-8799. He answered and said he would have the local manager give me a call. I did get a call from "Gerald" who was in Spokane WA. He said they were in transition and the new manager would give me a call in 15 minutes. No call. I called Gerald again in the afternoon and he once again said the manager would give me a call. I did get a call later in the afternoon from William Richardson 509-827-1731 who said he wasn't the manager yet, but he would be in a couple of days. He came over to my house and said he would order a free application of "Revive" which was the standard treatment for my sort of lawn damage. I guess this happens often enough for them to have a "standard treatment". I told Richard that I wanted a refund, and he said he couldn't authorize it, but he would request it from the billing people who were somewhere in Iowa (or Ohio?). On October 1st Trugreen applied Revive to my lawn. I expect Trugreen to reimburse me for my trouble by refunding the price of the treatment that damaged my lawn. Furthermore, if my lawn doesn't revive in the spring I expect Trugreen to pay for the restoration costs of reseeding and possible new turf installation.
