CLC Landscape Design

CLC Landscape Design

Short Summary: We can confidently recommend CLC Landscape…read moredesign for your landscape project - big or small. They take pride and ownership of their work, and they continue to provide support well after the project is finished. Full Details: In our neighborhood, there's no shortage of landscape design companies with their trucks advertising in front of all the different houses. After seeing some of the amazing photos of CLC's work in magazines and social media and reading about their family owned and operated company, we reached out and met with CLC and instantly connected right away. They seemed much more attentive than other companies we contacted, listened to our ideas, gave great advice, and their vision aligned with ours. Our project included removing some trees, re-grading our yard, adding a small round blue stone patio/firepit, plantings and new sod. While our project may have been a smaller one, we were still treated the same and given the same attention and detail as a much larger project. The design phase of the project was invaluable as the created renderings really helped us envision what the end goal would look like. Next, when it was time to break ground, our initial project manager Alex went above and beyond, even taking time out on a Saturday to go stone shopping with us. When Alex had to attend to a family emergency, CLC quickly adjusted and sent us the dynamic duo of Gary and Pat who immediately stepped in, took ownership of the project, and made sure everything continued to run smoothly. Gary, in particular, was in constant communication with us, keeping us updated on project details and assuring us that everything would stay on track. He's a Zen master - when he says don't worry, we're going to fix this/do this instead/I have a better idea, you just feel confident about the end result. Our foreman, Enrique, also deserves an honorable mention as someone incredibly detail-oriented, who always wanted to do things the right way, no shortcuts. He treated our yard as if it was his own, constantly trying to make everything perfect. We appreciated even the little things he did - like staging plants/trees in the shade to protect them from the hot sun or even coming in on a weekend to water those plants. Everything he did demonstrated the attention, care, and pride in his work. Things would look good to us but not to Enrique's sharp eye, and he'd smile and go over it one more time just to be certain. Was our project 100% completely smooth? Of course not, no project is, but Pat/Gary/Enrique/Alex and the rest of the CLC team always adjusted, tackled issues, gave us advice, and figured out the best way to solve whatever problem was at hand, which left us feeling at ease. And, in the end, after the work was finished, everything was cleaned up, no debris left behind, Gary continued checking up on us, weeks later, to ensure our sod is growing properly. And now we can sit back and enjoy a beautiful backyard that we know was done the right way and will provide us with joy for many years to come.

Dishonest, unreliable and fraudulent. Brian Heres was hired (and paid) to mow our lawn weekly…read more After somebody working for him mistakenly broke a glass panel (rock from weed whacker), Brian acknowledged this face-to-face and said "well, I owe you a window" then commented how this was only the second time it occurred in his 20+years of business. He said he was going to take care of it and get a contractor to come replace the panel. Obviously this stuff happens and it is not the end of the world but the way it was handled was reprehensible. After leaving broken glass on my patio, Brian left and was unresponsive to any outreach for a week. Finally my wife texted him and he responded saying he's been busy trying to find a contractor to fix the window and asked if we could do the same. I will give him a benefit of the doubt but we called 3 local window contractors - none of which had heard from him. After we found a contractor to fix the window, we connected Brian to them so he could pay them to get started. It has been 4 weeks with absolutely no response from Brian (phone calls, text messages, emails - both from my wife and I and the window panel replacement contractor). Now he's ghosted us and left us with a $2000 replacement panel bill... and he obviously stopped showing up to cut the grass. Of course being stiffed with a $2000 unexpected repair is not great, but being ghosted by Brian after leaving shattered glass all over my patio is far more offensive. It was made clear to him, if he can't pay that it was understood but at least return the phone call and send somebody to clean up the broken glass... At least to protect my five year old and two year old from serious injury. I have video and audio evidence of all of this along with text messages previously asking for quotes on additional work (which he kept saying he would do then never did).

I am beyond disappointed. from May until today 9/16 I have spent over $7000 on this "service"…read more today was the first time that I reached out to the owner Frank. my husband has called 3 times prior to question what exactly weekly service means. everything was overgrown twice now. I get changed almost $1800 when they come to butcher trim the shrubs. when I called today I was called a pain in the ass customer.. I've called once. I was also told that he didn't give a "F" what I pay, trimming is not in my contract.. I pay between $500-$600 a month for maintenance. I don't have a large property. Their maintenance is mowing the front lawn, and blowing out leaves poorly. I called today finally after their team was here for not even 10 min. I wanted to see how we could rectify the situation. I was cursed at a lot, for a while. I never raised my voice. actually I think I handled the very abusive attack from Frank, the owner pretty well inspite of starting to shake, and just crying as I got off the phone in shock that someone could speak to anyone else that way.. no less a customer who has only called once to say I'm dissatisfied with the service. very long story short please save your money, and self respect. if you're looking for mowing, and leaf blowing hire a high school kid. they'll treat you, and your property with a lot more respect I'm terrified to see what they're going to charge me now that I've canceled my "service"
