This has been long overdue but this company deserves to be praised. Work that I have had done: The first encounter that I had with Precision was back in 2019 when my air 30-year old central air unit died. Once businesses started opening back up in 2020, we scheduled to have my air conditioning installed. Just this past summer, I had to then have my 30-year old furnace replaced as well. As many others during this pandemic, I have to work from home. When they had to do the work, they were super respectful, clean, and both units work great. Small side note - I love how they use technology to keep you informed. The emails/text message reminders of your appts and when your tech is on it's way is super helpful and nice. Staff: What can I say about the staff? Here are the people that I interacted with during the install of both my air conditioning and my furnace install: The Owner, Paul. The GM, Dave. The Tech, Marques. The two installers, Daniel and Samuel. The Coordinator/Front Desk, Katelynn. The staff was personable, friendly and were very responsive. Also as a homeowner, they were very helpful when I asked questions. Some companies will try to upsell you on things but not once did I ever feel pressured to buy anything from the staff during our conversations. They truly listen to what your needs are and make professional recommendations. I thought of them as my neighborhood HVAC team. :) Their prices are competitive and sure there may be other companies out there that may have better prices. However for me, it really comes down to the overall experience. My experience with Precision Air has been great from inquiry to installation. This is a company that has earned my trust and business. I definitely recommend them! read more

After months of unsuccessful attempts to get our dead furnace replaced, I went with Precision Air. From my call to them about using their service to installation of the furnace and air conditioner was less than a week. Very impressive indeed. The installers, Chris and Elijah, showed up on time and did a quick but thorough job. Chris showed me what they did and explained the work in understandable terms. While Precision Air was not the cheapest of the companies I talked to, I got my money's worth. I would absolutely recommend them for any HVAC work. read more

My parents' heat pump was installed wrong from another company/person and right away Anthony knew the cause of it and was able to troubleshoot it and also test it out. It's one thing to get it right, but for him to take the time to explain why it didn't work makes me feel assured that he's knowledgeable. Anthony is beyond great! He is professional and honest because rather than charging my low income parents with a big bill or recommending a whole new system, he just fixed it. He's a gem with a good heart. It makes me feel confident about the company. read more

My furnace wasn't putting out heat and a call to Precision resulted in their repairman showing up a couple hours later. Sam was polite and after quickly checking out the furnace, decided it probably wasn't the furnace. He suspected that the thermostat malfunctioned and appeared to be working at that time. He suggested we wait and see and told me something to try if it happened again. So far, everything is working perfect. read more

James and YZ (ooze??) were great! Had to climb through a jungle to get to our furnace/AC and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Really appreciated both of them as well as their work! I give them both 5 stars read more

Had Jarren and Vitaliy come out to install a unit on my house, they did a fantastic job, were extremely polite, and very accommodating. Would 100% go through them again in the future. read more

Steve and Susi in Vancouver 9/2023 We just had a furnace and air conditioner installed by Precision. Their service is INCREDIBLE. The office staff keep updated on all schedules. The technicians were very efficient in their work and took the time to explain the different parts of the system, how it is assembled and how it is attached to the house. A special Thank You to Serge who did the initial estimate. He walked us through the purchase decision, answered all of our concerns and questions. My wife was concerned about the best brand. Serge took multiple last minute calls 2 days before installation to help with the decision.. This resulted in a new estimate with a better product purchase. Service and quality are crucial to any job. Precision Air has provided that to us and we trust they will continue to do so in the future. read more

The precision company Team is top notch! Our AC unit decided to go out on us during the heat of the Summer and it was something we wanted fixed immediately. From scheduling the appointment to technician showing up on time, I am very pleased with the service. The technician took the time to listen to what our needs were, and spent a good deal of time coming up with different options and explaining them. We chose the system we wanted and felt confident that the company was borned for the job. We were right - The crew was very professional, clean and worked hard all day to get it done! Highly recommend. Honest, ethical, and great service! read more

On Time. Great service. Fixed my heater and located replacement parts through a warranty. Highly recommended.

I received a free estimate from Precision Air l for replacing our AC and Furnace. They were thorough, responded quickly and did not waste my time at all. I appreciated that they showed up on time, with masks and were knowledgeable and thorough. read more

I have to say everyone we dealt with from Precision was professional and eager to help. Unfortunately, though we had several techs out over the course of more than a year, we continued to have issues. TLDR: After several expensive visits by Precision Air over the course of a couple years, another business appropriately diagnosed that my pump was worn out and the outside unit it had to be replaced. Long story long, our system was installed in 2012 by another vendor, and our house was re-roofed in 2020. During this time we had a couple relays fail but not much else. When the roof was done, an errant nail went through the coolant pipe, depressurizing the system. It ran for a couple days before we realized the issue existed as the weather had changed. Washougal HVAC (now Precision Air) came out and fixed the pipe, and refilled the system. Over the next two years we had them out twice more due to low refrigerant, only calling when we noticed an issue with the heat or cooling. After the second expensive refill (their cost was appropriate, refrigerant is expensive), I purchased a pipe set and ran it to a new location, and had Precision evacuate, solder the new pipes, and reinstall the refrigerant. The AC still wasn't performing up to snuff so I finally called another technician (self employed), who came out and within five minutes told me my refrigerant levels were fine but the pump wasn't putting out the appropriate pressure. He stated that in all likelihood the pump had worn out from being run dry several years ago. We tried a couple lower cost options but the outdoor unit ultimately had to be replaced. It's been a full year since replacement with several 100+ degree days and the performance of this new unit far surpasses the original Lennox, even when it was working properly. As I said, the folks at Precision Air were great to work with, however I believe if I'd had the guy that ultimately fixed it out when the pipe was initially punctured it would have saved me several costly visits. I truly appreciate their efforts, but as a maintenance technician myself (telecom, not HVAC), it seems like some simple troubleshooting steps may have been missed. read more

Our furnace went out. We sent a message to Precision in the morning and got a reply with the quote almost right away. The scheduler was helpful and kept us informed of arrival time and name of technician. The technician, Sam, was very knowlegeable, worked through all possible issues, found the problem and fixed it easily. (He also sent a message about his arrival time.) Awesome service, fair price, good value all around! read more

Wow, the folks at Precision Air are a top-notch HVAC team. We recently purchased a 100-year old home in Portland and decided it was time to modernize things a bit. I reached out to Precision Air to get a quote for services on Thursday. Katelynn was awesome and quick to help - by Friday afternoon Precision was already at our house. Upon arrival, our technician Serge was immediately able to help us install a new smart thermometer, rewire some cables, and fix a blown fuse that a TaskRabbit messed up earlier in the week. Serge was knowledgeable, friendly, confident in what he was doing, and quick - a true master of his craft. If I ever need HVAC services again (likely given the age of our home), I'll definitely be calling Precision Air. read more

Came close to a 5 star review but still giving Precision 4 stars even though we went with someone else. First, our AC went out the day before temps hit 108 and Precision wasn't my first call because we've used other companies before. However, Precision was the only one who actually answered my call and was able to get me on the schedule. HUGE points for Precision - courteous, professional, willing to help. The visit the following day didn't go as well as I hoped and I think something was missed in the diagnosis. Bottom line was that the recommendation was to completely replace our AC which would've been a tremendous financial hardship timing wise. Fortunately we had a follow up visit the next day and the tech for the other company was able to get our 20 year old AC back up and running and restored sanity to a very sweaty and irritated family for about $300. Whew. So why the glowing review for Precision? I called them back and explained what happened and their response was what so many have experienced and raved about here - prompt and professional. Of course I wish things could've been fixed when the tech was out but even though they didn't, I really appreciate how they handled things. Their response will ensure that even though things didn't go perfectly this time, when we do replace our AC I will definitely include Precision for consideration. read more

Update update!!!!The suppose owner of company left me a voicemail saying if I take post down he won't report me to authorities. Update!!! Soon after I left yelp review below I got unprofessional and threatening text message from unknown number. Beware!! I called Monday and scheduled a appointment for Wednesday at 8:30 AM waiting until 9 AM gave them a call they told me they have an appointment for me Thursday at a different time I took off work lost revenue wanted to charge me a emergency fee to come out Saturday even though it was their mistake on scheduling. I am so pleased with the work that these guys did for me today. Dave designed it and Jaron and Taly installed it. I replaced the over the stove microwave with a vented range hood and these guys connected my new hood to an exhaust duct. They also installed a fresh air (make-up air) supply. My wife and I are extremely happy with the job done. Jaron and Taly really know what they're doing and I appreciate how they cleaned up after themselves. I will call them again if I need anything related to HVAC. My expectations were exceeded in all ways. These guys are pros. Thanks Precision Air! read more

Great experience all around: fantastic communication through Yelp Chat and SMS texting. It was easy to get a quote and setup an onsite visit. Came on time and did excellent work. Precision Air was amazing. They came and gave me a free quote the day after I requested one. They were patient with me while I shopped around other businesses to find the best deal. Out of 8 companies I spoke with they gave me the best deal on the best product. Once I decided to install the mini split system they were here two days later installing. They took care of everything, installation, registration, electrical, and inspections. Andrij and his partner did great work and got the whole house done in one day. Precision Heating & Cooling - Mini Split Ductless Unit - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Portland, Oregon

I was so frustrated when my furnace just stopped working in the middle of winter. Logged on to Yelp and found Precision Air right away. Appointment booking was easy. They were able to send someone that same day! Kurt was instantly friendly and knowledgeable. He took care of the immediate problem and helped me understand what a future replacement might look like. We bought our PDX home last Oct and called Precision Air when we had a thermostat issue and they we so prompt and helpful that we noted that fact. As we moved from Ohio last month permanently here, we decided that we really needed to replace our 20 some year old oil furnace, decommission the underground tank and put in central air cooling after last summer's heat waves. So I remembered Precision Air, called and Anthony promptly was here giving me a gameplan for a new Mitsubishi Hyper heat unit. He answered my many questions about it, getting me comfortable what he was presenting. The estimate was in my email almost the next day... Their subcontracted electrician came out and checked my electrical panel and determined I had enough juice to power the new unit with no upgrades- a big win! I accepted the estimate and they scheduled me in about 3 wks. Anthony kept in touch with me and answered my further questions the whole time and said it would be a two day installation. There were 4 men here on day one- I was so impressed how quickly they removed the oil burner then took their time and thoroughly discussed the best way to vent the unit out of my finished basement with the least amount of disruption. They placed the unit in the perfect place outside my house. Day 2 was 1/2 day to finish in the rain, electrical panel was reworked and wired and it was running smoothly by lunchtime. Victor took time to explain the thermostat, the filters and operation of the good looking install. They were so polite and efficient and on task the whole time. I couldn't be happier with the results of this big change here. They definitely earned my respect and business trust and they can do the same for you! Thank you Precision Air- excellent job done! read more

Pros: quick response, friendly intake and technician, speedy service. Cons: expensive! I thought my A/C had gone out. Turns out the breaker was tripped ‍ and was charged $53.00, let me repeat, FIFTY-THREE dollars for him to flip it. This in addition to $95 for them to come out. read more

Needed a diagnosis on short notice and precision came thru when I was available same day. Service tech David was thorough and professional.

When I awoke to a cold house and the thermostat read 59 degrees, I knew I was in trouble. Several of the repair places I called couldn't come out for a day or two, and one wanted $200 up front to even look. Thank goodness for Precision Air. A repairman was at my door within 3 hours of my phone call. The service charge was not unreasonable, and after replacement of a small part, my heat was back on.Kudos to Precision Air for great service. read more

Our AC had broke down on us of course during this heat wave. Upon looking for companies to come out, Precision Air had the best reviews. Calling and making the initial appointment was fast and easy. Only had to wait a couple days for them to come out. When the tech showed up he was friendly and explained the issues to me so I can understand. We had a major issue that needed new parts. Only waiting we did was for the parts to get shipped out but as soon as the parts were in they came back out within a couple days. As of now our AC is back up in running blowing cold air! So happy with the work Precision Air has done for us. Office people are great and so are the techs that came out. Thank you so much! read more

Company has gotten a lot of great reviews on yelp, but my experience was much different. Please see below: * Scheduling issues - They were very late. Once a few hours late and another time over an hour late. Tech seemed to be overbooked because he often showed up late and left in a hurry to the next appointment. * Lack of attention to detail. Because tech was in a hurry he did not fully scope the problems. Example, I asked for photos so i could understand the problem better and never sent them because he was "too busy" or "forgot". Gave tech specific instructions which they ignored.. * Poor communication. Details to owner and tech were either never passed on or ignored. Appointments not booked properly or owner/tech not in communication with each other. * The owner is a liar. I explained to him my valid complaints and I wanted a different tech because he was late several times and ignored instructions. He has now characterized this as rude, which is a lie. I can post the exact text of the email here which I encourage the owner to do. Obviously, lying is a huge red flag character flaw. The owner did refund the money, which i appreciate, but lying to cover up his incompetence So they are late, inept, and lie to cover up their own mistakes. So until they can get their act together, i cannot recommend them... The last straw is his lying and exaggeration. Again i encourage him to post the exact text of the email where he says I insulted his tech - you will see he is not being honest. read more

I had a new HVAC system installed by John and Anthony today, and I am absolutely thrilled with the service and end product!! They worked extremely hard all day and answered every one of my questions. I've had bad experiences with A/C and Heating folks. It's like taking your car to a mechanic and hoping he doesn't rip you off blind. Precision Air did a really nice job upgrading my system at a reasonable price. I had several quotes and they were pretty average with their price for the work I needed. What differentiates Precision from the others is their owner, Paul. Very easy to work with and he genuinely seemed to insure his customers needs are put first. We had new wireless thermostat's installed and the setup was not working out very well and Paul personally came over to help me with getting these things online and working from my smartphone. No extra charge; no complaints. The system is now running perfectly and I am very happy with the customer service and support I received from Paul. I highly recommend Precision for your heating and cooling needs. read more

Anthony was the absolute best to work with! We had two other people out to our house and none were able to accurately diagnose our issue. He was able to come in and fix our 16 year old AC in less than an hour. He was proactive and extremely thorough. He gave the impression that he really cared and was incredibly knowledgeable in his field. When he left, not only did we have our AC up and working, we felt very confident in his work. Would absolutely recommend Anthony and Precision Air for being such a pleasure to work with. Thank you all so much! Edit to add: working with Jade was such a pleasure!!! I really hope I don't have to call them again lol but if I do, I know it will be a breeze. read more
