I can't begin to describe or explain how sweet and caring and wonderful Doctor Badorek is. I was…read morereally in a bad time when I came to her. I had never had problems with my eyes before, and it was one of the most frightening things I have been through in my life. I had just come from another eye doctor that left me feeling no better, and only worse, and I wasn't expecting anything better here either. I'm in my late 20's, and had perfect vision my whole life. I guess in some ways that spoiled me towards what some other people have had to go through since they were born. Doctor Badorek was as comforting and genuine and warm as she could be, and she held my hand until I felt a little better, didn't judge me for being so emotional over something that to her and many other people, was probably a very small problem in the grand scheme of things. She was as thorough as anybody could ever be, she checked my eyes and then checked them again, and went beyond what I could have asked for, even checking with a colleague in her off time to be sure nothing had been missed or overlooked in her evaluation. This lady has a heart of gold and a mind just as brilliant, and I can't recommend her to anyone enough, or ever thank her enough for being kind to me when I felt like I was never going to get over this obstacle.

Moved to Tri-Cities in 2009 and started going here based on recommendation from a friend…read more The first time I purchased eye glasses, the staff were very impatient and didn't want to help me adjust the glasses so they'd be level on my face. I guess I had grown used to that service in the past 20 years from all the other stores I've purchased glasses from. They were in a hurry to get back to their computer in the back enclosed office, so I left with crooked glasses and used pliers to bend the glasses into place at home later that night. Another problem: my lenses had advertisement engraving/etching on the lenses. I noticed when pulling out of the parking lot that oncoming traffic was blurry. I took off the glasses looking for dirty spots and noticed letters "SV" and "R" engraved in several places on the lenses. I complained and they did replace the lenses, but I had to wait an additional three weeks. With a vacation coming up, I ordered a spare pair of glasses on April 22nd. We called the store over the phone, said we wanted to order the same thing, and gave a credit card number. The glasses cost $400 and arrived in about 3 weeks. When I put on the glasses and looked around I again saw engraving of letters on the lenses. I explained that this had already happened before. They said they'd fix the issue. Another 2 weeks went by and the "new" glasses arrived on May 24th. This time, my wife picked up the glasses and brought them home. When I got home from work to try on the glasses a second time, found out the "new" glasses still have letter engraving. Called in to the store to complain (not enough time to drive to the store before 6PM close). They gave us the same story again that they would have the lab make new lenses. Our vacation starts next week and they said they cannot expedite the new lenses and that we don't have them in time for vacation. $400 and 6 weeks later and still no glasses. We can order the same glasses off the internet for $175. (2 for the price of 1). -Staff are too busy in the back office room to be bothered helping customers. (not sure what they are doing in there but they spend a lot of time back there). -Staff orders the wrong lenses repeatedly. -Glasses are twice as expensive as the internet (and take 3 times as long to arrive due to all the mistakes) Avoid Columbia Crest Eye Care if you need to buy a new pair of glasses.
