Sadly it's gone from bad and could need some improvement, to feel bad for the doctors there having their staff represent them so poorly. When the doctor and owner of the company tells you it will be the cost of the contacts after insurance due at pickup, and snarky Victoria adds a fee then proceeds to tell you that payment needs to be made in full before lenses are ordered after you question the additional fee added, there is a problem. This is not an isolated incident either. Contacts were ordered without my permission or consent a year ago after I was told they were only looking into coverage. And a severely botched order for glasses before that where the staff made it to be my fault that the glasses came 3x thicker than the previous pair ordered there a few years before. Billing staff charged me a copay for a test that was covered in full by insurance. Then added another copay that was waived prior just to stick it to me then sent me a collection letter about it. I had been going here for two decades and never had a problem till recently. And I've held on for as long as I possibly can. To preserve my friendship with one of the owners, I need to go elsewhere.

They even have the call recorded (which I believe is illegal, they never ask my consent or mention that the call was being recorded) where she tells you how much insurance cover, how much you need to pay, you agree and pay that amount, insurance pays his part as well and then because of a human error a mistyped YOU need to pay MORE because the owners decided that staff mistakes need to be pay from patients. Good luck getting a MANAGER to help you, she even tried to blame insurance saying "with insurance is different is not a for sure thing " My INSURANCE PAID exactly what it needed to paid I PAID exactly what she told me I needed to paid. The problem was that "human error, that mistyped" she said errors happen which is true, but why do I need to pay for someone else's mistakes.

I had never had problems with my eyes before, and it was one of the most frightening things I have been through in my life. I had just come from another eye doctor that left me feeling no better, and only worse, and I wasn't expecting anything better here either. I'm in my late 20's, and had perfect vision my whole life. I guess in some ways that spoiled me towards what some other people have had to go through since they were born. Doctor Badorek was as comforting and genuine and warm as she could be, and she held my hand until I felt a little better, didn't judge me for being so emotional over something that to her and many other people, was probably a very small problem in the grand scheme of things. She was as thorough as anybody could ever be, she checked my eyes and then checked them again, and went beyond what I could have asked for, even checking with a colleague in her off time to be sure nothing had been missed or overlooked in her evaluation. This lady has a heart of gold and a mind just as brilliant, and I can't recommend her to anyone enough, or ever thank her enough for being kind to me when I felt like I was never going to get over this obstacle.

When they finally arrived nearly a month later, my distance vision was blurry. I was told to "adjust" to them, but they were never correct. At a follow-up, I was informed I'd need another copay for an issue already addressed. A second doctor later confirmed the original lenses were wrong. Then came six more weeks of no communication, I had to repeatedly call just to get answers. After 98 days, I finally received revised glasses, and two days later a screw fell out of the frame. Poor communication, incorrect lenses, billing confusion, long delays, and defective frames made this one of the most stressful medical service experiences I've had. I cannot recommend them.
