The equipment is first rate, which enables the type of service I expect; although, find hard pressed to find these days. They don't have any contacts in stock. They refused to give me my contact lense prescription stating I must come back and try a new kind of contact first, never mind I've used the same brand of contacts for 20 years and I don't want new contacts. I came in for my scheduled appointment and the contacts had not come in. No one bothered to call me so I came in for nothing. Now they are telling me it may take up to two weeks just to try these new contacts that I don't even want. After I get my contact prescription I will never go back. It feels like they are just trying to get as much money from me as possible. When I see a normal eye doctor, I have one visit, get my prescription and have contacts within a few days. read more

Kennewick Vision Care is the absolute best. I have to say that the last 3 optometrists I've had, I have struggled with greatly. I came in expecting a terrible time and was wonderfully surprised. I cannot wait to come in for my next appointment... love this place. I had to cancel my first appointment with them and they were very understanding. When I called to reschedule they got me in the next day. Check in was easy and the wait area is nice to sit in because of the nice atmosphere they had created. They seem to have EVERY MACHINE UNDER THE SUN for your exam making it quite fun. The technology they have is insane and somewhat distracting by how in awe I was by 1) how they worked and 2) seeing the results/images with the optometrist. Time races by with efficiency of the staff and machines working in tandem. I was in a rush and the medical assitant let me go without rescheduling my follow-up since I didn't know my schedule off the top of my head. She also told me to pay for today's visit when I come in next... which is tomorrow. Again, the schedulers got me in the next day. This is office is amazing. I can't stress it enough. Frustration With Optical Shop I recently purchased a pair of glasses that do not fit my face. Initially, the lenses were too close to my eyes, and my eyelashes would bend down and stay down when blinking. The initial correction was to loosen the ear piece, which made the glasses feel floppy on my face. This was the only solution offered to me at that time. I went home and read about pantoscopic tilt. I went back a week later and a pantoscopic tilt was applied. In order for my lashes to not touch the lens, an approximate 15 degree pantoscopic tilt was applied. This tilt affected my vision with the lens, and caused me to have a headache within the first hour. Again, I researched the issue of eyelashes rubbing on lenses. I read that the nose bridge might affect the fit. I went back a week later for a third time, and I was told that I could select an alternate frame with the stipulation that after that, if the frame didn't fit, there was nothing else that could be done for me. I tried on frames for the next hour, trying to identify what frame would. The frame that I finally selected to be the best option would have cost me an additional $140. I held off on agreeing to that, since I never wanted to spend that much on a pair of glasses in the first place. I requested that they look into refunding me for the glasses. One week later, and my request for refund was not followed up on. The information I received today was that a refund is not possible, however, why did they tell me the week before that they would look into it? In my 30 years of wearing glasses, I've never come across the issue with my eyelashes hitting my lenses. I am exhausted and frustrated that I'm having to navigate this issue by myself, without any professional input/guidance. I would have thought that a reputable optical show would have no issue with providing a refund since they have a reputation to maintain. read more

Dr Kitchner is great to work with, but this store enforces a mask mandate, even this late in the game when all the other states have given it up and the science clearly dictates that they do nothing to contain the spread of a virus. I expressed my concerns about the masks to the staff and store manage, but was still made to wear one. I would have left, but for extenuating circumstances, I needed this exam. I told the manager, I will never do business there again and decided to voice my concerns here as well. read more

I am diabetic so Dr. Kintner has always taken good care to give me a diabetic eye exam. He recommended the laser surgery for my cataracts last year and I saw him 2 extra times for that. The staff is friendly and I have not had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes. Dr. Kintner explains eye pathology very well and cares about my total health. I would recommend this office for anyone. It's very clean and they have excellent equipment. read more

I called yesterday and spoke with Crystal. (I am disabled and it isn't easy getting around.) I found two pairs of glasses, online, Calvin Klein brand, however was unable to find the height of the lenses. This may not be an issue for most people but I am technical blind without glasses or contacts, so imagine the thickness of the glass. It can make a weight difference and no gal wants more wrinkles caused by face squishing, lol. I searched over an hour for this info, online and came up empty. My Doctor does not have that brand so I looked up premier offices, under VSP insurance. How I found Crystal. She was friendly, in a good mood and more than happy to research my info. And I could tell She was busy as well. She also found no available online into and had to look at the frames. After getting the info, she reminded me, her office would be happy to adjust them, once I got them! Now that is not only a good employee but a great one. Once you get a client into your business you never know if you'll have a new patient to add. I hope her bosses realize what a gem she is! I just might take her up on the adjustment offer. I enjoy good customer skills, willing to help someone who isn't a patient and friendliness! I've encountered many service reps who are incompetent. It seems to be a plague. I can handle someone having a hard day but incompetence turns me off. (haven't we all had a hard day?) The least someone can do is Check with another employee to get the best info they can. I recently went in for my first eye exam. The doctor was very kind and helpful. When I went to pick up my glasses, they did not work for me. I could not see out of them and they were blurry. I left thinking it was just me and maybe I needed to get use to them. The next day, I knew it was just not working for me. I could not even read what was on my computer screen. I called and spoke to Crystal. She was instantly irritated and annoyed with me. I kept trying to explain that no matter how I moved my head, I COULD NOT SEE. I was in my office when I called her, and my coworker overheard the conversation. Crystal would not take no for an answer and started to get louder and louder, arguing with me that I was wrong. It went on for so long that my coworker turned to me and asked "Why is she arguing with you so much?" I went in and had the prescription changed from progressives to lined bifocals thinking they would better suit my needs. When I went in, Crystal was instantly defensive and angry. Irritated and rolling her eyes. I am not someone who likes confrontation, but she made me so angry and uncomfortable that I finally told her that I didn't think I could "Just get use to them" because I wasn't going to wear them at all. I was told that the prescription and glasses I was switching to were cheaper and that I would receive a refund. I was happy to hear that and just wanted the new glasses to work. I went in this morning to pick up my new prescription and was told by Crystal that I would definitely NOT receive a refund because it was my problem that they didn't work the first time and not theirs. She told me I could call and take it up with billing if I felt I needed to. I called and left a message for the billing department and within 10 minutes, I received a text from Crystal that I would be receiving a partial refund within a week. It would have been nicer if she would have just checked while I was still there, but instead she just seemed to WANT to tell me no. I was also told that they know that Crystal is a "strong personality". I do not have a problem with someone with a strong personality, but there is a difference between that and just being rude. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone even though I did like the doctor and the rest of the staff. Very disappointed. read more
