The back side of a cabinet that was not cut properly.
    Linda S.

Precision Cabinets lacks precision! I decided to go with Precision Cabinets because they were made locally and seemed to have a high quality product. When the cabinets were delivered they reeked of saw dust. Seems the cabinets are not dusted off before delivery and brought into peoples homes. I have severe allergies, and now I cannot go into my kitchen without wearing a mask. After the install I vacuumed several times, wiped down every cabinet surface I could reach - inside and out, and still, the saw dust lingers in the air. I hope that fades with time. When our kitchen island from Diamond Cabinets was installed it arrived clean, not smelling of saw dust. Apparently Precision does not clean off their cabinetry before delivery. The installation was less than satisfactory. They did not put up any plastic to protect my furniture or provide a dust barrier. They sawed into the cabinetry in the kitchen and saw dust went everywhere! This should have been done outside, or at least some plastic taped up to the provide a barrier! There were some dings and cracks to the cabinetry during the process, and dings to my ceiling. There was no follow up from the company to see how it went, if I was satisfied, or how & when the final touch-up appointment would happen. I spent $25,000 with them, you'd think a courtesy follow up call after installation would be in order, right? Apparently not. I do not recommend this company. Take your money else where; you'll get a better value, better service, and better product somewhere else.

I should have write my review last year when my cabinets delivered brighter and shinier than expected. My order was "ocean blue" and the small wood sample they sent before delivery was ocean blue dull "not bright and shiny at all. When I asked the sample wasn't that shiny I was told sample was from 2021 and your cabinets will be less shiny as you cook and use them. Anyway back and forth with many people including Michelle Galligan manager there, I was told nothing can be done and I decided to bring interior designer and she recommended to paint around cabinets and doors white to reduce the shine and I brought someone to apply on-site paint around borders of doors and that helped slightly for brightness but after 11 months the excessive shine is still there. Now some of doors started to lag behind self closing hinge and as result stays open at the end with some misalignment. Inside one of cabinets the ocean blue color chipped off. I took pictures and sent pictures to Michelle Galligan and after one week of leaving messages and sending her emails with no response I called service department and sent the pictures to Hannah Sorvari and this is exactly her response copied and pasted: "I am going over this issues with my team and unfortunately, we are not taking on any aftermarket touch ups or adjustments. Your home was a delivery only job on our end, so we would recommend the team you had install your cabinets to come back and do the adjustments and touch ups. I was informed by the Tech we sent out there last that he had left the spray can of paint with your home. The team should be able to use that can to perform any touch ups. I have attached a video reference for the adjustments for the hinges as well". Are you kidding me Hannah. I have never heard after market touch ups and so on. You mean after spending thousands of dollars on kitchen cabinet you don't even have any warranty on your products. My contractor said the doors that have issues hinges are defective and your purchasing company should be able to replace them. Stay away from this business. No one will help you if there is issue down the road.

Had the worst experience. They hire great sales people and have a really great showroom. This puts a facade that they sell premium products and can hence demand premium prices. Nick, on their team, is an experienced salesman; no doubt. The prices are higher than other cabinet shops around, which makes you believe that you will get an awesome product. But once you sign the contract, the product is subpar and crap. Had so many issues with installation, product, and coloring. Every issue first answer is "not a big deal". Until you start yelling and screaming. It's trying to get milk out of a rock from these guys. Attaching some pictures of substandard product. I would recommend staying away from them. You will pay premium price but get average/below average product and service

Drawer bottom panels are simply stapled. Will start to fall off. Very shoddy workmanship

We've spent over $30k on Precision Cabinets. After only four years, all of our drawer cabinets bottoms started separating. Upon close inspection, we noticed that it's simply stapled on. After several months of going back and forth, Precision Cabinets denied our warranty claim. They either need to stand by their work or make better cabinets. I've had Ikea drawers that were better designed and built.

Thank you for responding. I completely understand your required business model and having to keep profitable during hard times 100% as I run a local business as well. I love to support family businesses in the area that turnout quality workmanship for a bit more cost vs big box garbage. The main point of my 1 star review was due to being immediately snubbed by 2 employees like I was low rent trash, not worth their time and was told to go to Granite Expo or "big box" stores instead. I had 5 quotes ranging from $8,000 to $12,500 for similar high end local custom work. I spent $25k for everything start to finish.

We spent over $50K on kitchen cabinets and it was by far the worst experience of our entire kitchen/pantry/powder room renovation. The number of mistakes and delays were astounding. Things began poorly as our Sales designer began making small but important changes to the order for us to sign without discussing with us. Each revision seemed to have something new we only caught after careful inspection. After a long wait, install day was finally here and the first thing that happened was they installed a badly damaged custom upper that was incorrectly designed. A customer service employee told us the mistake was "by design" as if we intended to reveal the unfinished bottom section of the $10K custom cabinets. Then our seasoned contractor informed us a lower cabinet gap was too narrow to fit our standard 36 inch range while a Precision manager argued with us about the measurement from his office. Add in other doors with poorly hidden nicks and dents, a color mismatched toe kick, an upper that swung open every time the refrigerator closed, a missed broken hinge, missing pulls, poorly installed pulls, uppers of the wrong height and not aligned with each other, and finally not giving us the agreed upon soft close hinges of those custom uppers, I would avoid this company like the plague. True, the end product is nice, but getting there was a disaster. My contractor had never seen anything like this. Another local contractor in Brentwood I met through my job literally laughed out loud when I mentioned Precision to him. He then said "they have a nice product but you need to babysit them through the install. I won't let them do it and install myself." So my final take-away is the sales designers over-promise and rush you through the contract signing process. The installers are disgruntled and have poor craftsmanship and are poorly trained. The company will respond to complaints and try to make things right, but will take their time- like months. Would definitely look elsewhere if I had to do it again.

From the very first visit, Paul set himself apart from other contractors I had met with -- he arrived fully prepared with a variety of material and color samples, thoroughly explained the refacing process, covered warranty details, took measurements, and even designed the layout, all in a single appointment. There was never any pressure to sign, which I genuinely appreciated. When questions came up after his visit, Paul responded quickly with a phone call followed by a detailed email complete with photos and examples. That level of follow-through is hard to find. Once I signed the contract, Jaime came by to confirm measurements and listen to my ideas, translating them into a well-defined project plan. The results speak for themselves -- everything was completed ahead of schedule. The cabinet refacing surpassed my expectations, and the material we selected not only looks stunning but feels great and is effortless to clean. The new coffee bar in the living room has become an absolute showstopper, and the added cabinets in the laundry area are both practical and well-crafted. Miguel, who handled the final installation, was a true professional -- communicative, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our home. The team wrapped up with a thorough walk-through and left everything immaculate. I've already recommended JV Cabinets to friends and family, and I would do so again without hesitation.

After completing the project and later comparing with other options, it became clear that the pricing was not aligned with the level of quality we received. The paint has started rubbing off within a year, the drawer hardware feels very low quality (mostly plastic), and the drawers did not close properly from the installation. The drawer slides and soft-close mechanisms are low quality, feel cheap and unreliable, and the slide system doesn't function properly. With our prior Ikea drawers, which had metal throughout, that was never an issue. These are fundamental issues that should not occur at this price point. Support was also a challenge. Communication felt defensive, and we had to follow up multiple times just to get someone to come out for fixes. Based on our experience, we would not recommend JV Cabinets. There are other providers offering solid wood cabinets with noticeably better build quality and finish for similar, or lower cost.

After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was. When the work was done, their clean up was so good, not a piece of dust was left behind. On top of everything, pricing was very reasonable. For the work that was done, the cost was very fair. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone looking to complete a bookshelf/library project. I am sure they do other types of work but as far as libraries go, nothing but fantastic work.

I walked through Bay Area Cab's Dublin showroom a few times to confirm they have cabinet styles and colors I liked, and the employees were very accommodating in letting me check out cabinet door samples to see in my actual kitchen. I'm so glad I did that, because the color we originally wanted ended up looking dingy in our northern facing kitchen. We went with their Icy Avalanche color, which is a cool toned grey, and have never loved anything more! The design and estimate process was simple and likely less time consuming than even wading through the IKEA kitchen designer yourself. Chrissy was patient, professional and very knowledgeable and made sure every detail was handled to perfection. She even hopped on the phone with our contractor a couple times to make sure every measurement was exactly correct. But her excellent customer service really came into play after our cabinets were delivered and we discovered an issue--due to a slant in our kitchen floors that weren't accounted for in our original measurements, our crown molding wouldn't fit! She and her sister, who heads their other branch, redesigned and supplied a new molding quickly so that our remodel wouldn't be too behind schedule. And if that wasn't enough, when my contractor mis-installed a drawer, Chrissy replaced the broken pieces for me immediately. For just the customer service level alone, I'm so glad I went with Bay Area Cabs. There are already so many small things that can go wrong in a kitchen remodel, and I was so glad to have the cabinets be headache-free! Finally, the quality of the cabinets is amazing. We've been in our new kitchen for about 6 months now and are happy to report that all our cabinets, drawers, shelves and doors are working perfectly. We're so happy we chose Bay Area Cab Supply for our kitchen and hope this review helps more people find out about this awesome family-owned company!
