Beware this service department. We had 3 separate repairs over a 9-month period on a 2021 Nissan…read moreRogue totaling over $5K to address the same exact symptoms of vehicle overheating and sudden deceleration. Most of the cost of repairs were for diagnostics (new fee each time despite a repeat of the same issues) and labor --- always quoting the highest end of the range of repair time for installation of new parts at $199+ per hour of labor. All this may have been acceptable if service was diligent and customer focused, but this was not the case. First repair involved a replacement part that Leith Nissan (LN) said was out of stock with no ETA for getting it in. They said the car was unsafe to drive, so we would be without it indefinitely with no solutions offered. We took it upon ourselves to seek the part, quickly finding it (for 40% less) at a dealer in Texas who shipped to us for free. We also found out from Nissan that due to no central availability of the part, we could have gotten a free loaner for a period of time. LN neither offered to source the part via other dealers, nor the loaner option through Nissan. On the third repair, despite an early a.m. appointment on day 1, the vehicle was not looked at until day 2. Repairs were authorized and parts expected on day 3. On day 4 we received a message that an incorrect part was ordered or received, and that repairs would be completed on day 5. Day 5 came and went with no contact from LN; upon reaching out to them on day 6 they got back to us and we were told a needed part was further delayed until day 9. Over a week without use of our car because they could not get two hoses replaced in that time and didn't bother to communicate along the way. Keeping the LN service manager abreast all along this series of events resulted in nothing more than the replies they give to the negative reviews on this site --- 'your feedback is important, we strive for excellent service, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry'. Politely ineffective is the kindest thing I can say about our interactions with this group. We now have a new car outside the Leith/Holman Group network and are delighted to be done with this dealer and service department.

They don't take appointments for inspections so it is first-come, first serve. Since it was fairly busy, I was told it would take about 45 minutes. After about 20 minutes I received a call informing me that the vehicle would fail inspection since one of the windshield wipers was torn. They offered to replace one, both, or neither (for me to replace myself or at a different location). When asked, he informed me of the price options. The prices were reasonable so I asked to swap them both out for $50. He called back about 5 minutes later to report the vehicle passed inspection with the new wiper blades. I returned, paid inside, and picked up my vehicle. Total came to a little under $90 for the wiper blades and inspection. Overall, excellent quick and quality service with great communication. They took down my number and said they would call when the car was ready in about 40 minutes. Two hours later I had to call them because I still had not received a call and they closed in 30 minutes. When I arrived they said they weren't able to add coolant because they didn't have the correct kind in shop but the oil was changed. FOUR days later (13mi) since they supposedly changed the oil, a family friend (who is a mechanic) looked at the oil and said it was BLACK and that there was no way the oil had been recently changed. I spoke with the manager (Chris) and he immediately said "I don't know what you expect me to do?" And that he was 100% certain the oil was changed, even though he admitted the shop had issues in the past with people not providing services!!! I also asked if he could review the cameras just to make sure and he said the cameras don't work (convenient!)

They could not see my car that day, but scheduled me in at 11am on Wednesday. CLAS did not get to my car to see the problem until Thursday. I patiently waited for days since the Jennifer (the office rep) stated they had 1-2 mechanics working. I understood and due to the heat I figured it would take awhile. Thursday I spoke with James and he stated that I needed a new thermostat and a coolant flush. Long story short, I got my car back Friday 6/28 and within an hour my car red coolant temperature light, windshield wiper light and engine light was on. It was like I was back to square one! Later that evening, they called with a repair estimate of $2,156 to replace the radiator fan, thermostat, and tires, plus $309 just to refill the antifreeze. When I called to ask about alternatives, they only reduced the price by $20. That felt excessive, so I decided to get a second opinion. I ended up going to NC Complete Auto Care, where the radiator fan was replaced for $881. They didn't charge for refilling the antifreeze and said the thermostat wasn't an issue and did not need to be replaced. They also let me know I could safely wait on the tires for a couple more months. I appreciated the transparency and will be taking my business there from now on. I can't recommend Cary Car Care based on my experience.

I called today Thursday 10/24/24 and they still hadn't touched the car! And that's when the mechanic told me the appt. was for the 30th. I realize it was my mistake on the scheduling but why didn't the check in lady tell me I had the day wrong? And why didn't someone notice yesterday when the car was sitting there all day? And why did they say the car was in queue to be worked on in the morning? I'm on my way out of town for a family emergency and this messed me up so badly.
